YES! team tap ombré here too!! I’ve used a rounded brush like that once! It is in a bottle of regular nail polish, and it is so much easier! They really need to become a thing!
I love your tutorials. I did order from dip well and LOVE them. The powders are so finely milled and I love the rounded brushes. I am obsessed with their powders and have a nice supply of colors! Your techniques are flawless and make dipping so easy. I did try the peel base you recommended and it barely lasted 1 day. Had a few pop off during the night. Will maybe just use that for accent fingers. Thanks for all your great advice!
So so happy to hear this!! Yayyy! 🥳 Yea peel base works super fast on me too 🙈 another option could be to put it on top of clear dip powder or builder gel. That way you have something protecting your natural nails. So it would be clear dip powder, then peel base, then color dip powder ☺️ totally optional but I also understand not wanting to do your mani every 2 days 🤣💗
Haha…as soon as I started watching the “tap method” I busted up laughing and stopped the play. It’s going to be the “brush on” technique for me when I try. I know myself and limited skills too well. Great demonstration-I enjoy ALL that you reach us. Thanks! 🙏🏾💎💅🏾
🤣💖 I absolutely understand what you mean! I felt like that about French manis. It took me THREE years to finally build up the confidence to give it a whirl. And honestly, it wasn’t that bad with the French tray! When in doubt, you can totally practice on swatch sticks first! Let me know how the scrub ombré goes for ya! 💖
Thanks for the tips! I love your videos! So I tried each technique on my ring fingers. The tap method worked better for me. When I tried the scrub method, although I thought my base had dried it hadn’t, and I ended up with a mess and a ruined brush. Good thing they’re cheap 😂! I used Revel liquids and dip powder, which I really like. My first kit was Dipwell but the base was so thick and the brush was stiff. The brush saver helped resolve the brush issue but not the liquid. I could barely open any of the bottles. Powders are lovely though. Switched to Revel and very happy. Thanks for all your videos, they’ve helped me do a decent job and I look forward to my next mani! Cheers!
Going to attempt ombre for only the second time today. Tried two the first time and I had that not so soft line. This helps so much but def going to try the scrub method today and buying these liquids cause I need that round brush
Lovely. Your videos are awesome. I use dip powder a lot. I'm always willing to try new dip powders and new nail companies products that you've shown. And ones you haven't
Oh my girlfriend I'm new to your channel and I got the glass cuticle pusher I've never done my cuticles and never really seen a problem Until I got this glass remover Girl you changed my word and my nails!! They are longer and the edges are so pretty now They always looked healthy so I didn't mess with them until now wanting to learn how to dip and gel on my own.. Thank you so much for that advice it cleaned my nails up and didn't dry my cuticles out mount the product before it!! Life saver 🛟 Have a Great Day! Sheila
Hi! Love your videos. I do have a question. So on this video you applied a base coat, and let it dry (didnt apply powder) then apply a second coat and started dipping. Correct?
Absolutely! I have it narrowed down to 3 companies based on consistency, dry time and budget. It’s a really tricky question because I enjoy so many for so many reasons. But I am working on getting that video up soon!
I use nailboo dip powder which I am relatively new to anyway. But I love them so much. So much easier to do nails than painting. But I have a question about your ombré method. Can I do the same with the nailboo colors? It uses a build powder as the base which you only use once then you use the colors after that. With the base coat. Thanks
You can absolutely use their powders to do this same design! 🥰 you will just have to play around with it to see which method you prefer depending on the colors/pigment 💖 you got this! 💪🏼
Really wasn’t that bad!! I am not the best at gauging smell because the other brands haven’t bothered me either. But I do remember thinking that they weren’t too strong! 🙌🏼
Totally get it!! 🙌🏼 if you decide to try dipwell please let me know your thoughts 💕 it’s so helpful to hear from someone who is sensitive to the smells so I can pass along the info!
You want the base to be dry because essentially you are only scrubbing pigment. So if the base is wet, you would be removing/smudging the product. So the easiest scrub combo would be clear base and a very dark/bright color. It’s really just scrubbing the color of the pigment onto the base and not necessarily the product itself. I hope this helps! 💗
Sometimes I do but not all of the time. It’s just my personal preference not to each time because when I file around that area it makes them sensitive and more likely to get cut 💖
Not dumb at all!! So with scrub ombré you are basically scrubbing the white pigment onto the nail. So it’s easier to scrub more pigmented colors onto lighter colors 💗 sort of like when you play with chalk!
I didn't notice you using any activator before encapsulating. Did you not use it or did I somehow miss that? I went back to look but still didn't see it.
I love their powders but their liquids burnt my finger so bad. I had a blister for days. I tried wiping the top coat after dunking it in the brush saver and the wipe stuck to my finger. I think the liquid with the wipe did a chemical reaction.
@@SipAndDip it's much better. And you're so right the brushes are amazing. Btw thank you for the instructions. I was doing the scrub method wrong lol I was doing it while the base was wet haha yeah it didn't come out good 😂

Unfortunately, they are not odorless 🥺🫶🏻 Color my World has a great odorless dip liquid option though!
It works with dark colors if u dip in light first and scrub on the dark one
beautiful on ur nails
How long does it take your first base liquid to dry? Seems like it takes mine forever but maybe I’m just to excited to start dipping 😆
Not too long! But each brand is different for dry time ☺️ I actually prefer a slow dry time so I can’t clean up any mistakes 🤣💕
Wish I could get my natural nails to grow like this. Mine break so easy
