Very good tutorial: BUT do not use the original bolt for the handle bar. It's way too long and it will bend the upper axle of the monorim. Just use the one in the kit, that is longer, but shorter than original with about 1 cm. I've screwed so hard the original that bent the axle and in the end the screw broke. It was a nightmare removing the remaining piece of the bolt, and because the axle was bend, I just gave up and cut everything with a bolt cutter and then bought a new monorim kit and did a second install by the book. Luckly the 2nd was on sale for 50 Dollars, and it was a V3 with the fender support piece. After all, it was still worth the time and money.

      Thanks, you were right!
I measured to where the bolt would hit and it was way too long, the one provided fit perfectly.

Thank you so much! Just installed. I put solid tires on my m365 a few months back and the ride has been pretty harsh on Chicago streets. So glad to have some give on the front wheel. Less handlebar shudder.

      did it go in perfectly?
I tried it on mine but the handlebar's main big tube still is able to "turn" if I try to turn the handlebars over their turning point. I tightened every single screw that holds it in place, and it looks like it is correctly assembled...

If you wish to upgrade the front shock on this to a dual chamber air suspension shock what is the minimum size shock that Monorin recommends? Original shock ( with spring inside) in the kit is 150 mm fully extended, measured from centre of top mounting eye to centre of bottom mounting eye . Air shocks have a fatter /wider canister body to them than original spring shock which may control what size shock you can fit. Any body fitted one ( KS A5 RR1 logo one for instance) and has advice please?

you ever find out if you can upgrade the shock. i wanted to upgrade mine as well to something beefier. it looks kind of like the mountain bike components with a custom frame.

I have a big improvement while riding on bumpy surfaces. Such a relieve for my wrists... Would be so nice if there was something like that for a rear wheel.
One question. In that small plastic package with extra screws and rubber/metal washers for mud guard from Monorim there is always left small metal bearing 00:57. Any idea what is that for?

really great video, totally agree with you, the video the monorim guys sent is far too fast. I really appreciate you doing this video.
I just have a question if you don't mind answering. The yellow and blue spring. Is it possible at all to change the screws over after the installation? So if I install the blue one and decide its not for me, and want the yellow one in. Will I have to do a full strip down again, or is it easily changed after the suspension kit goes on. Hope you can help
    Thanks

Hi Michael. Yes, what you need to do is to loosen the two bolts that hold the top of the metal housing. If you loosen those two, you can unscrew the cap and lift it up to expose the spring. All of this can be done without uninstalling the suspension kit itself. I hope that makes sense!
      Best regards,

The problem with this KIT (V2 and V3 included) is that the mudguard rotates at stronger vibrations even if it is tightened to the maximum. I had to glue it in place with hot glue so it won't move anymore... That's one big f**k up from the manufacturer/designer.
