Obi-Wan Kenobi has just dropped it's finale and throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down all the easter eggms hidden details and things you missed. Last week had Roken and the Rebels fleeing into space whilst Reva remained behind to try and strike down Vader. This backfired and she ended up getting stabbed in the stomach similar to how she was when she was a child. We actually had hints towards this wound all the way back in episode 3 when she ended up getting slammed by Brother 5. She ended up touching it for a split second and It is possible that she had cybernetic parts placed into this much like we saw with Fennec Shand. These just being stabbed again would explain how she survived the encounter and they act as somewhat of a means to an endor.
This episode really wrestles with whether she's friend or poe and come the end of the entry they tie things up quite nicely without breaking the canon too much.
But does it work? Well we'll talk about it later on but if you've been enjoying the breakdowns we'd massively appreciate the thumbs up this one last time. We'll also be covering more Star Wars shows later in the year so you will subscribe...move along.
With that out the way, thanks for clicking this, now let's get into Episode 6.
-
We open on Tattooine and see two Jawas as well as a blue astromech droid that's the same unit as R5 who would later get a bust motivator on the planet.
Motivators actually pop up again when we discover that the ship is struggling.
-
Here we see Moisture dealers selling water in the street and Reva ends up intervening on a guy who's just, just a bit of a jerk.
Now this actually subtly hints that she's turning back to the light as she's somewhat showing compassion to the locals by helping them out, even if she's not specifically doing it for their best interests. This was a big part of the Jedi order and maybe getting that Arkham Asylum death screen last week made her restart with a new take on life.
Now in earlier breakdowns we talked about how Reva could likely be a play on the name Revan. This was a jedi who ended up turning to the dark side much like she did. Similar to that fact Revan also ended up going back to the light in the canonised ending which is what we see happen here.
Cut to the devastator chasing the Partisan ship which we learn is heading to Tessen. I dopn't believe that this ship has featured in the saga before and it's a refuge that they sadly won't make it too.

Qui Gon might as well have clicked his heels on the way up the canyon. Too cheesy.
Will there be a season 2 where obi wan fights black krrsantan.
Yah I didn't care for dia-reva, I just wanted Obi-Wan and Hayden/Anakin/Vader all the way, those moments were Incredible, especially Hayden talking through the broken mask!
When they do season 2 they need to just focus on More Hayden Flashbacks, Qui Gon, and phase dia-reva out
Also, Senator Organa, aka Jimmy Schmidts, is an Incredible actor, I want more of him!
nicely broken down paul, series hasn't been the best material to work with, lay off Ryans mum you Chump!
How do you know the Rebels don't make it to Tessen?
When Vader said “you didn’t kill Anakin, I did” he’s admitting it’s his own fault for turning out like that as well as saying he ‘killed’ his weakness
That shit made me sob fr
Scene made me cry bro
That was really cool. He was basically "why are you crying bro? You didn't do shit. Said it was your fault, but I did everything, that's why I'mma wreck ya".
Didn't he also say "I'am what you made me" in episode 3?
Was the perfect and only way for kenobi to let go and walk away with the fight feeling complete
One Easter egg that most are missing out is when he walks away he calls Vader 'DARTH'.
He calls him with the same name in a New Hope... he calls Vader by only 'DARTH' and that had always confused me, as that's not his first name and only a title...
So great callback to that! They really tie up things and How!
I jumped up and yelled! Got a little teary with the Hello there!
@@tjdoc143 this episode was great! So many feels!
@@Mysticworld2707 I truly enjoyed the entire series. There were some points that were a little weak, especially in the earlier episodes, but honestly it was a great experience. While I’d be really happy to see a second season, I’m also fine if they just leave it be.
@@tjdoc143 Absolutely! I'm good with one season too! It ended perfectly.
I caught that upon delivery. Nice touch. I figured that “Darth” was a nice touch as it was his title, not his name. Obi Wan was dismissing the person within and only calling him by his work title and therefore his actions instead.
I gotta be honest. That whole scene with Vador's mask breaking and his voice distorting was possibly one of the most powerful Star Wars scene I have ever scene. A great episode.
So true
Yup
I loved that they didn't just commit to the new half/half distortion, they had a line or two of just Haydens voice and just Vaders while his chest piece was malfunctioning
I cried hard af... until Vader said he killed Anakin and smiled... that shit sent a chill up my spine and just kind of left me aghast
It’s been done twice before, in the comic and Rebels with Ahsoka.
That split in Vader’s helmet from Obi also gives the reason behind the scar Vader has on his head when it’s removed in Return of the Jedi.
No that scar is there when his head is split open from the mustafar heat. They actually made hayden and sebastians scars line up.
Not exactly.. there were hints of the scar in Revenge of the Sith and in the first episode of Kenobi when Vader was in the bacta. It did seem like the lightsaber strike may have made it worse.
@@edkinghorn5500 he had a full head of hair in revenge of the sith so there was no way to see the one on the top of his head, and ventress was the one who gave him the scar on his eyebrow

Obi seeing the monstrous face of Vader but still being able to look at him and say "Anakin."🥺
Real love is able to see the ounce of humanity that still remains in a beast.
That shit made me cry
Obi is such a good man 🥺❤️
They brought real feeling to this and it really worked
You were my brother Anakin I loved you
That was a very sad scene and I think it was acted brilliantly by both of them..... I actually felt sad for Vader.....
The Convo between Obi wan and Vader as well as Leia and Qui Gon just hit the feels. Nice nods with the "Hello there" and the toy for Luke. I loved this show and this episode was amazing.
I thought the "hello there" when he was talking to Luke was kind of cringey. Like I don't know if they earned that. It's a callback to something arguably greater than every episode of this show and was obviously meant to make fans go "ahhh he said it!" but with how this show played out I felt like they didn't earn that moment and I just sighed when he said it. I agree with everything else though, all the other interactions were great.
@@Ottaped your opinion is strange can’t really understand how it’s “cringe” but hey it’s your opinion and you have a right to your opinion so go you :)

How much did Disney pay you to write this comment?
Missed Detail I think: When the Mask was ripped open and Obi-Wan started with his "Anakin" talks, for a Moment he was torn between light and dark side (his face beeing purple/ red and blue) and then when he says he did kill Anakin, his face is red again, so he's fully on the dark side again. There's no way that lighting was coincidence, much like that scene in Spider man: Homecoming with the Vulture in the car.
If you looked closely in the same shot, his eyes go from brown to the Sith yellow in that same moment the light changes
@@Josephdquinn Yeah definitly! I didn't catch that the first time around!
@Bjarne Prien... perhaps Obi wan even felt the reduction in the dark side, that's why he called him Anakin...I admire u guys that have attention to detail, I had to go back to watch that scene again to confirm what y'all sed
Yeah for sure. Like in Rebels
Spot on. I took from that line was Anakin wanting to take away some guilt Kenobi felt for failing him but then Vadar took over again. Kenobi didn't kill him because he felt some good in Anakin, empathy and pure sorrow for his brother.
I liked the line "nobody can ever know" when talking to Leia. I think it was a soft nod to how the message is presented in new hope. Leia is a brilliant mind and I can totally feel comfortable making the stretch that she planned it around NOT giving away the info that, if r2 was caught, she had a more personal connection to obi-wan. Definitely a stretch, but something worth considering nonetheless!
That’s absolutely how I perceived it. I was wondering how they were going to explain why Leia only referred to Obi-Wan in R2’s message as someone who fought with her father in the Clone Wars after this series. A subtle nod, but perfect nonetheless.
Idk how Heavy Spoilers missed this
@@kerrh4715 Doesn't that make her message to him in A New Hope sound that much more desperate? "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope." *sniff* (I'm not crying, you are)

I love the whole dynamic that Obi Wan and Ahsoka slashed opposite sides of Vaders helmet, then Luke was the one that got it off. The remnants of his past culminating in his son finally turning him back.
This is an amazing thought
I'm happy for a couple of seasons of Kenobi just trotting around Tattooine and having more local adventures, and a few extra scenes with Qui-gon training him wouldn't hurt. They set it up by saying the boy is safe. We don't need Vader in it anymore, Vader can have his own cameos and spin-offs elsewhere.
Why would the emperor be in it then obviously it’s gunna be about Vader in season 2 again
@@lewiscook129 no it'll be about maul
I really hope we get a Darth Vader spin-off show
@@lewiscook129 what makes you guys think we’re getting season 2 lol
@@lewiscook129 for a Darth show, maybe? I don't know lol, I was just saying
So many brilliant things in this episode
But one thing that I think was easily overlooked, is Leia saying "will I ever see you again?" akin to Anakin to his mother in Episode 1
Acting off young Leia gave me chills and the show as a whole, amazing
"Don't ask questions, just consume product, then get excited for next product."
...and she actually never sees him again. (Unless they make it happen in season 2)
She was fantastic. I predict Disney will do a G-rated "family" spin off of Young Leia. At least they'll keep the actress on speed dial as she becomes a teen/adult because she has a gift in channeling Carrie Fisher which I would have previously said isn't possible.
Yeah they still don't explain how Leia in Return of the Jedi still has memories of her birth mother. Obi-Wan told her one sentence about her but that doesn't create memories
@@radrobd123 Yeah, that was always a problem when they had Padme die just after giving birth.
A theory could be is that she gets "memories" of her mother through the force (being a Skywalker = OP in the force) but as she isn't trained, she doesn't know any better?
But most likely just poor writing decisions xD
When obi wan said “I will do what I must” and Vader responded with “then you will die” it was a nod back to their mustafar fight when obi wan said “I will do what I must” and anakin saying “you will try”
That exactly what came to mind when I saw it. I'm sure Ryan Arey at least will get that.
This show is full of copy paste call backs. It’s garbage
@@trayvonandrews6278 shut up, "it's like poetry, it rhymes"
@@trayvonandrews6278 this episode was basically the only one with call backs, make an actual critique, not a bullshit one thrown out from watching one clip
There was alot of moments like that like when Vader gave himself the high ground, also obi’s beginning stance was the same stance as when he started his fight with grevious, there was even a second when Vader and obi fought they did exactly what they did in episode 3 and had to adjust/switch forms because of how close they are saber wise as they fight and how close they are with their emotions
I think in the context of the show it makes sense that Leia spoke as though she didn't have a personal connection to Ben when she records the hologram in IV - she was using her diplomat voice and was being "Princess Organa"
If she was using her fake British accent, that's her tell.
The best aspect of Obi-wan, is Vader gave him the opportunity to forgive himself.
When Vader says, "I killed Anakin." You can see Obi-Wan's facial expression change from self-loathing, to sadness for his friend. I think Vader showed compassion for his friend by taking ownership of his path, allowing Obi-Wan to forgive himself and move closer into the light of the force. This also showed there is still good in Vader, and he is still a complicated person.
In the beginning of the series, Obi-Wan had placed himself in purgatory, by the end, he was on a path towards enlightenment.
Yep totally right makes prefect sense
Man man man I cheered when obi said HELLO THERE!!! And man when qui gon showed it was hell of a episode!!
I don’t think the emperor was concerned with him teaming up with kenobi. It was more of the fact that he wants anakin dead. If anakin is dead then Vader shouldn’t care about kenobi or anything to do with his past. However him caring (even through hatred) shows the chosen one is still alive. Honestly palps should have took this same approach with Luke and keep Vader in check and away from such conflict of interest
I really think it's the Emperor knowing that if Vader keeps persuing Kenobi, it'll end up getting Vader killed. They both know his fatal flaw. Palpatine just tells him to drop it and obey orders.
I'm surprised they kept palpatine off screen until the very end. Its always a pleasant surprise to see the senate
@@letstalkaboutstarwars3532 it really shows that Vader is just a pawn given the fact he’s savage af. Emperor makes him look like an inquisitor
I think good ol' Sheev was interested in replacing Vader with Luke as his apprentice, that was why he didn't order Vader to stop searching for Luke or trying to turn him to the dark side.
@@Raul.Alejo1098 right of course! All I am saying is he should have never took his eye off Vader, especially while killing the man’s son lol
Theres like 2 hours of great content here. Would have been a good standalone movie
Once you take out all the easter eggs, cameos and "hidden details", there's actually no plot left. It would make a decent trailer I guess :D
Something that you missed that I think was massive to the story telling was the lighting effects during the Vader fight. When Obi Wan takes control, and starts to apologize, both him and Vader are cast in a blue glow from his saber. This shows the humanity, the sorry and empathy that Obi Wan was carrying for what he had done in letting Anakin down, allowing him to turn to the dark side and live in a half dead state. This was his thoughts, his feelings, and why he was turned off from the force. But once Vader told him that it wasn't his fault, that Vader killed Anakin, and did it on purpose, then the tone shifts and both of them are dominated by the red glow of Vader's saber. At that point, Obi Wan's face is covered in red, but then slowly turns back to blue as he realizes he wasn't to blame. He then left, knowing that leaving Vader in that state would eat at Vader rather than if he killed him, which would only result in someone else taking control and making the future unpredictable.
That little detail brought it all in for me and made the show complete.
Same, I’ve watched two breakdowns so far, and they both failed to mention this. I noticed while watching too, it had a similar effect on me.
Honestly i completely agree, i was thinking the same thing during that scene, it was soo good
Me: Finishing the finale, unsure of who to look to to break down this masterpiece.

‘Proceeds to let Anakin live again’

He’s just bullying the poor man at this point lol
I think in Vader's mind, the only two viable outcomes of the fight where his, or Obi Wan's death. When Vader realises that Obi Wan is walking away, and that killing him is no longer possible, I honestly think that Vader was screaming Obi Wan's name out of frustration that he wasn't going to finish him.
That last OBI WAN!! gave me literal chills, as well as hearing Hayden's voice full of hate once again, that was awesome
That hadn't even occurred to me. That's a great thought.
I was fully expecting an "I HATE YOU!!!"
... frustration definitely, but lined with desperation IMO. 85% Vader rage, 15% Anakin desperation underneath. As on Mustafar, Obi-Wan bested AND left Anakin to die for the second time. Without Kenobi to still see good/light/humanity within him, the sliver that remained of Anakin knew he would continue to be crushed by his Vader dark side, making this final scene epically tragic.
I like Obi-Wan’s recognition of Luke’s need to grow up as a regular boy. One of the BIGGEST problems with the Jedi was their detachment with fellow life from near birth.
Obi-Wan’s connection to Leia and Luke helped pull him through his fight with Vader. I think that among other things helped him see the value of Luke living like a normal boy. That and his newfound hope and trust that things will work out.
I wish they had done more with Obi Wan’s Jedi philosophy. Him coming to admit the flaws of the Jedi would have gone a long way to make this series more compelling and deep.
It sort of only scratched the surface on many of its themes and never really explored them that well.
Well said. A new hope if you will.
That was hinted at when Obi-Wan heard the parallels of the Empire taking kids never to be seen again.
The scene in which Reva carries back an unconscious Anakin, as she begins to turn to the Light is symmetrical to the scene from Attack of the Clones where Anakin carries his Mother, Shmi, as he begins to turn to the Dark side. Both scenes are poignant, ripe with the feeling of despair in the paths each of them (Reva/Anakin) had been on till that point.
I liked how when we first see darth’s face it is illuminated by the light of obi wan’s blade giving the small chance of hope for anakin to return and then is extinguished and overcome by the red light of vaders lightsaber. This showing that the hope is gone and only Vader remains. Great use of lighting in the scene to show that as they spoke.
Is possible, that just for a moment, Anakin found his humanity to allow Obi-wan to be absolved of guilt by saying “I am not your failure”? Maybe I’m reading too much into it. But I had a thought that before succumbing fully to his “I killed him” line, Anakin’s humanity fought back just for a second.
I think you're right and think the Emperor picks up on it. Vader could have killed Obi Wan but couldn't bring himself to do it when he had him in the fire. I think it's more of an act that he wanted to kill him and he definitely wasn't trying to kill Luke in the OT. Underneath all the rage and the anger Annakin remained
I don't think so, I think he wants Obi-Wan to suffer. I think he really hates him. I think he just hates himself more. Everything he did was to save Padme, but in the end he killed her, and he killed Anakin in the same moment. Now he is Darth and doesn't want redemption because he is punishing himself. All the pain of her death and his life is his to bear, and it fuels his power. That's why he says the line, or at least thats how I read it. He isn't showing Obi-Wan any kindness or humanity. He us punishing himself.
If you watch, his face is cast in the blue lightsaber light when he is saying those lines. I believe that reflects exactly what you’re saying- that was Anakin saying those lines. But then the lighting changes and his face is totally cast in the red of his own blade when he says he will destroy Obi-wan. Signifying that Darth is still the “one in control.” He is very much still conflicted, as is obvious by how Return of the Jedi ends. And I also believe the pause when Vader answers the emperor at the end is proof of the inner conflict.
I mean all in all this is a very tragic freaking story when you step back and look at it with a wide Lens angle. Maybe Vader realized he screwed up his life long before this show reunion and maybe wanted to end his guilt by either telling Obi wan, he was not responsible or just killing him out right… but it is strange that the times he fought Obi wan he always told his subordinates he would take care of him by himself
I really feel like it was. The blue light, the Hayden voice, the way he said it, and the torn look on his face...only to switch to Vader as if he caught himself. The emperor sensing his doubt felt like a wink to the audience telling us that we were right to get that geeling...
You didn't see force ghosts in the prequel trilogy because becoming a force ghost was a secret which Qui-Gon himself rediscovered. It is all explained within the Clone Wars TV show.

Being a dad has made the dad jokes level up
I got wet-eyed twice. Some of the middle episodes could be trimmed or omitted but this finale was incredible. The Darth defeat scene was tragic, little Leia was as adorable as ever, and Mcgregor is just always a pleasure.
Young Leia still astounds me. The way a 10 year old girl could nail a complex actress such as Carrie Fisher in this role is still amazing. I'm sure Disney will use her as Leia again.
@@mattblom3990 That little girl is the sole reason that my 7 year old daughter is binging all the SW movies right now. There are moments where she actually captures the facial tendencies of Fisher and it just caught me off guard every time. They’d be silly not to bring her back for more SW properties and I hope she gets all the work she wants
@@thetruebatman4632 Honestly, thank you for sharing! I'll refer your comment to my sister...I think my 6 year old stubborn niece would quite like young Leia too.
Young Leia was a surprise, for sure, but a welcome one.
That Ryan's mom joke got me good lol
The puns are on Musta-fire today, Paul! hahaha
I thoroughly enjoyed your recaps and equally the series. It was a gift to see everyone from the prequels return to reprise their roles in live-action and the acting was top-notch. Like Moses' character's motivation wasn't revealed until the previous episode, but she sold it in that great scene with Ewan.
Plus, I enjoyed how the themes were interwoven between characters in different scenes - like Vader fighting Obi-Wan, vs Reva chasing Luke. Both had a moment where their true faces were revealed. One ended their fight embracing their darkness, and the other embraced the light. Both were in pursuit of revenge against Obi-Wan. I loved the symmetry.
Also, I just realized that throughout the Star Wars properties, many characters did really questionable things in the first decade of the Empire. I guess it's like the US during enslavement or Germany during fascism, people do their worst until they can do their best.
I wish they had done an 8 or 10-episode series, instead of six so that they could fully flesh out everyone's motivations and spend more time building up to the Vader/Kenobi showdowns. I scored it higher than you, just for the caliber of acting alone, it was an 8/10 for me.
The story of the broken brotherhood of Anakin and Obi-Wan will now be, for me, one of the most tragic parts of Star Wars lore.
Well, fellow Star Wars film fans, see you in 5 years, when Disney Plus premieres; "Rey Skywalker - A Star Wars Story". I bet we love that even more than we've loved Kenobi.
Later Chumps!
A missed opportunity in this episode...having Vader say, "now I, have the high ground."
The only negative I have about this battle was Vader walking away from the rubble without seeing a dead body. It would have been better if they had continued their fight from that position. Vader on the high ground and Obi Wan from the pit. That could have mirror the Obi vs Maul, and Obi vs Anakin on Mustafar.
I was sorely on the fence on this series. This episode pulled me off the fence and left splinters in my ass. This episode was epic. Seeing Hayden in the suit and the voice play between Vader and Anakin was amazing. And the goodbye between Leia and Obi-wan had a lump in my throat. Qui-Gon popping up was just the cherry on the cake.
I think the point of Reva was to show Uncle Obi that there is a way back from the darkness.
Vaders line that he killed Anakin shows us that it was an internal choice. And then from that, Obi explaining to Reva that SHE chose to come back to the light. It proves that nomatter how far gone you are, there is always a way back.
Remember in Ep VI, Vader had to watch Papa Palps try and turn Luke. He saw Anakin in Luke at that moment. The same way Reva saw herself in Luke at that moment.
Both moments were the final catalyst that snapped their connection to the darkside and brought them back.
I personally liked that.
"It's kinda like poetry"
I see your point and correlation. I am still confused why Reva went after Luke in the first place? Her goal was to kill Vader and she lost miserably. Somehow she survives (again) and just decides to go hunting another kid??? That plot confused the heck out of me. Unless her goal was Vaders seat under the Emperor? There is a hole there.
@@ShadowDancer6990 agreed
The jerk on Tatooine was the foreman at the fish factory where Obi-Wan works in the first episode.
I love how Vader immediately once the table turned forces Obi-Wan to the low ground straight away ahahaha! And OBI STILL WINS!
Confirmed, Confirmed Obi is the high ground wherever he goes.
Didn't like Reva in the start but I'm actually intrigued where she'll show up next. A redeemed dark side user is so interesting to me
Same. Her confrontation with Luke had me emotional. I wish her well on her journey to the light.
Facts can’t believe they racially abused her character was annoying to begin but was not one dimensional like most characters
I agree with your rating and summary. It’s good but we could have got more. The episodes with the most meat were definitely 5 and 6. Should have been 3-4 episodes or ~10 episodes.
Reva magically being in Tatooine while the chase scene picks up almost immediately after last episode ended was the ONLY thing bad with this episode.
And Beru learned the Tala slap ! Unfortunately Reva put stat points into defense and survived it.
Now it makes sense why Vader burned the home. He knew he had to snuff out the power or lethal slappage
I actually think his line to Leia about not telling anyone because it would make them unsafe is how they chose to address the continuity issue between this and a New Hope. She didn't say, "Help me my old pal Ben, you're my only hope," because he told her not to disclose their history.
Your puns are always top tier!
Just watched it this morning...loved it! Can't wait to rewatch the whole series again this weekend.
I’m fairly certain this is also the first time he hear the imperial march in the series
I was confused as to why it wasn’t in Vader's building cottage there but looking at it I think it symbolises his let go of the last remnants of anakin’s emotional attachments as he gives up on his hatred of kenobi
I think that Leia doesn’t forget Obi-Wan from that message she leaves in R2, rather, not only was it another decade after their goodbye, but Obi-Wan tells her that it’s important that they must keep their friendship a secret, meaning that message has to be somewhat formal and as if they have no history
While I have my issues with some of the other episodes, this episode really won me over on the series and truly reassured me on my opinions. The way everything was wrapped up and left to wait for the future we know is to come was truly special. In my opinion, this is some of the best Star Wars content we have received.
only ep 4 was bad, 1 and 2 werent great but good openers and 3, 5 and 6 were amazing
I fully believe Anakin telling Obi-Wan he didn't fail...that Obi-Wan didn't kill Anakin...was a kindness, even if he ended by saying "I did". It was part of that one glimmer of good Luke sensed, and it hit hard...really hard. The way Hayden said the lines...it was absolutely incredible.
I’ve finally figured out what is missing with these shows.
It’s the wipes.
The end doesn’t feel right with a cut to black.
The closing circle wipe to the credits should be there.
the scene where vader yells obi-wan feels like a reference to the clone wars where obi-wan faked his death, plus maul screaming kenobi
Best Episode. This Series is fantastic. Absolutely love it
I enjoyed it, and its made me want to watch clone wars and rebels now, keep up the good work Paul
I believe the guy Reva knocks the water out of the hand of is the same muscle enforcer who harassed the other worker when Obiwan was clocking out. Good call back to there always being a bigger fish like Qui-Gon said in episode 1. 😏
SW has a problem with letting characters take light sabers to the chest and just walk it off. Reva (twice), Grand inquisitor, Maul in clone wars, etc... It is starting to feel like no one can die, especially if a light saber is involved.
Thank you! I have felt like this for so long. Even Obi Wan takes a light Saber and disappears into a force ghost who hangs out with Luke. It seems the only people who die are storm troopers. 🤣🤣🤣
@@ShadowDancer6990 So true. it's getting absurd
Everyone can tank a lightsaber stab to the chest, except for Qui-Gon
@@gakeon963 haha exactly

I loved all the call backs to a new hope and the origin of the scar we see in return of the Jedi
I have a lot of complains about the show too, but people need to stop complaining about Hayden looking to old, because he is! And just be happy you got to see Evan and Hayden together again
Yup! And this is why sometimes actors/actresses choose not to return!!!!!
LOVED the show. Biggest retcon I have ever seen in my life but still LOVED IT!!! We ate good the past two weeks. I love it here!!!
Your pun game's on point today!
Takk!
I might be crazy, but as Qui Gon slowly appeared, his silhouette was standing in front of a rock formation that looked like a man in profile facing to the left, and became slowly bluer as Qui appeared. Some very subtle Thrawn easter egg?
One thing you didn't mention in the positives was how amazing the child actress was that played young Leia. She absolutely killed it and stole every scene she was in. Super underrated performance in my opinion.
Thought Reva actresses performance was fantastic when she broke down, like she was ridden with guilt but also relief, she suddenly came alive, like her in the dark side was forced but her in the light felt natural, bit like Kylo ren
Paul, with so many things to both like and dislike in each and every episode it's incredibly hard to pick my favorite episode. This one ahd some truly moving moments, I really could feel Obi-Wan's greif at seeing Anakins charred face. That retort from Vader that he killed Anakin, omg I had goose pimples! That said we also got crazy unmoving moments like the ridiculous argument on the transport while they're supposedly dodging star destroyer fire🤦🏽. At any rate I was going to give it a 6 but I ultimately agree with your score of 7, the good I suppose did outway the bad, I'll also admit to giving it 1 extra point for nostalgia. May the force be with you always!
May the Obiwan Kenobi be with us.....ALWAYS!!
The transition bewteen Anakin's and Darth Vader's voices...
The conflicting reflections of the blue and red light off of Vader's face...

Love that Obi Wan explained that Leia would have to be careful if she were to ever contact him again. fixed a plot hole i was very confused about. She had to pretend she’d never met him in the message in case it was intercepted by the empire
fantasy episode. 8.5 or 9/10.
wish there were less cuts in the fight.
story was best of this series. fan service wasn't over the top or just dropped in; it served the story well.
SW needs to stop with characters surviving light sabers to the chest. What used to be the deadliest weapon is useless now. Reva twice, grand inquisitor, Darth Maul survived being cut in half then came back fine in clone wars. It's getting ridiculous
@@johnfulco8313 GI has 2 stomachs and got stabbed in one.
Presumably Reva had mechanical parts from the 1st stabbing to help her survive the 2nd.
Since they also cauterize the wound, the biggest threat (blood loss) is greatly minimized. Plus SW universe has more advanced healthcare than our current universe.
@@RealAndySkibba This is a horrible excuse. If this is the case, let's just assume no one will ever die from a light saber again. They'll always be a ridiculous life saving effort then. Maul survived being cut in half in the clone wars. I guess they can fix that too
@@johnfulco8313 okay but you just going to ignore all the people that died? Outside of plot armour, people died so shush about your exaggeration! Maul is literally too angry to die aswell lmao no one is more pissed off then maul in the universe (could be wrong but he’s quite literally pure anger and hatred) and also imagine getting upset at more maul screentime smh
@@darkassassin6457 It's just lunacy. Maul is too "angry to die"... well i guess we should just apply to that to everyone on the dark side. They'll all live forever, they're just to angry to die. Chop their head off, don't worry they're too angry to die, Cut them in half, no worries they're too angry to die and they're back next episode. You have to live under a rock to not hear the continued pressure on SW to stop the ridiculous recoveries from injuries like this and just how dumb the light sabers have become.... Where did i ever get upset for more maul screentime? The point is you can't write a story killing him, then just bring him back with the idiotic logic of forget that he was too angry to die. You seem more delusional than the writers
That final battle scene with Vader made me tear up considering I haven't even seen the prequals.
Also I can't believe those madlads included the famous "Hello there" meme XD 10/10 show!
I fully believe that the dark side of the force can be channeled through all types of emotions as long as they are strong. So I think the scenes where he thinks of Luke and Leia are him channeling the dark side through strong emotions of love and hope.
The hello there in the end is just the best hahaha
It's 'taken' a long time but finally he's arrived.
😑
Yeah for about half a minute after a whole “season” of build up. Shoehorned in there to say “there, ya happy?”
I like how Obi wan called him “Darth” when he left like he did in a new hope.
I am so confused about Reva in this episode. I feel like she should have died in the previous episode and that should have been the conclusion of her character.
I mean, how did she survive a stab through the chest without any medical help even? How did she travel to Tatooine? Where did she get a ship? Why would she even go after the Lars family? There is no indication in Organa’s message that Luke was Anakin’s son, so how did she figure it out?
Also, why would Vader make his entire fleet chase after Obi Wan? Couldn’t he just how pursue him himself in his own ship while the destroyer intercepted the rebels? Couldn’t he at least deploy some tie fighters to track the ship?
yup the writing was ass...
Do not question, just consume. 😅
new to Disney+ star wars show?
I asked myself the same questions. What reason did Reva have to go after Luke???? Vader attempted to kill her for the 2nd time and she magically survived again (I guess she has 3 stomachs 🤣🤷🏾♂️). What goal was there to try and kill Luke? She clearly wasn't trying to kill Owen or Beru. She blocked and pushed past them to hunt Luke. Then after all this pursuit of nothingness she did absolutely NOTHING! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm so confused.
They tried so hard to keep reva relevant in this series. Apparently everyone can take a lightsaber through the chest and just walk it off. The grand inquisitor, reva, etc...
The moon they fought on really looked like Concordia the moon of Mandalore. Ik the audio description just said it was some random moon but it did look similar from space to the visual we got in clone wars season 2 maybe episode 12.
Anyone else wanted or kinda hoped Darth Vader would say
"I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND NOW " when he buried obi wan in the ground.
Damn this episode was nostalgic and the action is great and not to mention the lightsaber duel was dope 🔥🔥❤️❤️

I think your 7/10 is pretty spot on and also believe without eps 5 & 6 it would be a lot less. If I judge these shows on how much I want to watch reactions/reviews vids on the tube , eps 5 and 6 were the only ones of OBW, where as really great shows I want to watch tube breakdowns every episodes and numerous vids. ( definitely not a fan of the canon nazis though)
When kenobi said hello there i cheered, i cried, i was rejoycing the best line in the series
Honestly there’s a lot a things to enjoy from this series. The new characters and returning ones are just completely crowbarred into it for the sake of a deeper plot. This show should’ve always been what was it was meant to be. The conclusion of the Obi Wan Anakin chapter. The resolution of Obi Wan to stop blaming himself for creating Vader and we got that and I do really like this show for that
Characters like Reva and Leia just drag this show down though. Nothing on the actresses because they did a phenomenal job in their roles they should’ve just had far less screen time. Reva in this last episode could’ve not been there and nothing would’ve changed
I think the point of Reva was to show Uncle Obi that there is a way back from the darkness. There is hope.
Vaders line that he killed Anakin shows us that it was an internal choice. And then from that, Obi explaining to Reva that SHE chose to come back to the light. It proves that nomatter how far gone you are, there is always a way back.
Remember in Ep VI, Vader had to watch Papa Palpa try and turn Luke. He saw Anakin in Luke at that moment. The same way Reva saw herself in Luke at that moment.
Both moments were the final catalyst that snapped their connection to the darkside.
I personally liked that, but each to their own
Good points. It had some incredible vador moment's but SW has a terrible trend of trying to shoehorn characters into the focus of series meant to focus on others. Mandalorian crashed the Bobba Fett series, Reva in this series
@@johnfulco8313 The mando episodes of Boba were the only good part of Boba's show. It was ass if im honest.
I’d argue that Leias role was important. She brings Obi Wan back with a reason to fight for life bridging the gap to ANH. Probably could’ve been fine without Reva story, but I think Leia was connected.
Revas should have been killed off, it’s ridiculous how many people can survive a stab through the chest.
I wish we would have gotten more dialogue between obi wan and Vader in this episode maybe even another flashback. Also this episode was extremely dark, couldn’t see anything. Just didn’t like the sets they chose. So I guess I give the episode 7/10. I did enjoy the good moments but the series was a bit of a letdown.
REally happy with the way this ended. Great episode. I will be happy to see a second season, but also satisfied if they choose not to. Would love to see a Vader show, and would love to see more adventures with Obiwan and Qui-Gon's force ghost guiding him, without needing to have Vader show up again. Their act is complete for a while, so they can both do their own thing without having both clash again in the 2nd season.
Show gets 7.5/10. In my opinion the last episode shifted the rating to a possible 8. I love how again the last episode showed that Obi Wan is anakin/Vader’s worst match up in a dual. Obi Wan is not as powerful as Vader but still knows all of his weaknesses.
I agree with you about Reva.. if you’re going to give her that much screen time then you should have developed her backstory more.
had to pause and laugh it out, I can fathom Vaders weakness is ...his thought of Victory! xD thats too funny man
I love how 9 years later when “a new hope” starts, Obi-Wan has aged 20 years
It's that Tatooine life yo. 🤣
Everyone always wants more! That being said I loved it!!
Why does everyone say that just because Leia says "you served my father in the clone wars" that means that she never met him? It's a weird hill to die on. It's not out of the ordinary that she would say something like that
It did ring of unfamiliarity.
I totally agree- Kenobi just before he leaves even says that they have to keep how they know each other a secret as that knowledge puts them both in danger, so it makes sense she would refer to him as an acquaintance of her father in any communication - even if it was meant only for obi-wan- just incase it was intercepted or over heard by another listener.
I mean, I’m not a huge fan of the show, but I agree. Like who cares, no one gets upset anymore that Leia says she remembers her mother.
Like Ryan Arey’s mum bit down too hard: DUDE, THAT IS COLD!! 😂😂😂😂
Man SUPERHERO WEDNESDAY is it!
I watch your breakdowna of Obi Wan and I'd watch Ms.Marvel breakdowns on Screen Crush!!! You duo!! This is like switching from light to dark side 🤣🧐🤣
