    I’m seeing as I watch your videos that you not only show how to do a specific project like this one, but you also pass along tips and tricks to help on multiple projects.... ya just never know what you’re going to learn! Just like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates! Thanks Becky.

    Adorable bag! Sooooo cute! I enjoy making bags from time to time. I add pockets to the lining before I close up the sides of the lining. I keep my phone in the pocket and usually another pocket for my sunglasses and a pen - so I don't have to dig to the bottom to get those things. Thanks for another informative video!

    I have been making projects like this for as long as they have been making them. Your methods by far are much better than what is provided. Yours looked so neat and clean at each step. Now I want to make a bag and maybe monogram on my 10 needle. Thank you so much! You videos are just what the doctor ordered. Love you friend!

    The bag turned out beautiful, just adorable. Thank you so much for the WELL DUH moment for me, you using the steam a seam to get the pieces lined up before sewing them. I have been fighting the tile scenes I have been doing, just trying to pin them and then have to undo because they are not quite in place. The ironing of the seams works great also (should have thought of that also), I will have to start doing that instead of my "try, rip out, try rip out, try rip out" scenario. I might actually save thread in the process :). I do use the mesh stabilizer on the back of my tile scenes to try and not make things so stiff, but I am doing wall hangings not totes. Thanks for the tips and tricks Becky.

    Thank you for this tutorial! I have tiled scenes, what a great way to put them together. The first one I put together was ok, but not perfect because I was not folding one seam over and securing like you did. I can't wait to finish the one I'm working on now.

    I love the quilt pattern that has the long wiener dog that goes for several rows. Someday I want to make for my hubby. Your bag is really cute! First I need to finish quilting one sofa quilt and one king size quilt. The king size is over half done, but I got some puckering and I have to either take out a bunch of seems, or work around the puckers. I am puzzled, I think one fabric is behaving differently because I got 75% finished before I encountered this problem. Sigh.

    Hey Becky, Love your tote bag. It turned out nice. Did you ever tell us your surprise yet. Can"t wait to hear what it is. I think I may have an idea what it is. How would you incorporate a name to the bag? I was thinking in the front panel, making the name go down in front of the dog.

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  3 года назад

      It was the End to End Designs for Designs by JuJu. I'd put the name in the top border myself.

  • @pjdowell2

    I have my panels made and now ready to tackle putting this together. This will be my first time making a tote bag so wish me luck!

    Thank you so much for this video series. I watched about five times before I finished. I did not have cutaway and used no show mesh and I think that my fabric choice for the background may have been too thin. I got some puckering and when I tried to iron it, it got worse :-( Overall, I'm happy with the turn out, but wish I could get through all the learning curves faster!

    • @debbiewhite3270

      I choose to use SF101 on every piece of fabric in my bag pattern. Then I follow instructions. I think it keeps everything from wrinkling & puckering

      That's the Sapporo 527 Gravity Fed iron. I absolutely love it. I've had it for 5 years and it is on all day, every day. Best iron I've ever owned. So glad I left what I call the "Row*** money pit". lol amzn.to/38vUbVv

      @@PowerToolsWithThread thanks I ordered it! I too am over the other brand , and was just using the cheapest Walmart one but like the gravity fed irons!

    • @PowerToolsWithThread
      @PowerToolsWithThread  3 года назад

      @@annastaz1 Since this one does not have an auto-off, I recommend plugging it into a power strip that also has a lamp plugged into it and only use the on/off switch on the power strip. That way, when the lamp is on, your iron is on and you won't accidentally leave it on overnight or when you're not home. You 'll notice I have two rests under the iron: the red one came with it and an aqua one from FQS. This is needed because this iron gets HOT. It is fairly heavy too so you get great seams. Once you learn to navigate the cords from above, you'll never go back to a regular iron.
