      Agree 100% nice to see someone else who is prepared to just get on with it and be prepared to fail but win by learning what one does wrong .
      I actually am looking for the same car to do myself. I love the way it looks. the only thing I will do differently is widen the rear fenders

    Car is stunning. Love watching u work . You can't leave that head lining like that. I suggest u use a sheet of colourful fabric, sew some slips into it to allow you to thread canes through. Fix the canes at each end to the roof so that the fabric is suspended from them as they did in the old days. Then u will not see all those lumps and bumps on the roof showing through.

    She's looking great. You did a fantastic job on this car and it must feel great going down the road. She still needs something on the trunk to fill in the area but I can't say what. If you pin strip it, it would need a big pin striping and I don't think that would work. Can't wait to see how you're going to figuring that one out, if you do anything at all with it. Love the stance, and the total look of the ole girl. Great job on this and I love it. Later.

    ***** Brent, I'm not too wild about the rear License plate position. What about you? How about putting on a taillight stem style bracket like the original cars had? ...or if you want to get crazy, extend the rear bumper back a foot and build a continental kit for your spare and fit the license plate in the indented area of the mid-wheel. Also Try using a hair dryer on the flabby parts of your headliner. Sometimes the heat will tighten the plastic and remove the 'rolls'.

    • @HalfassKustoms
      @HalfassKustoms  4 года назад +1

      meh I think it looks better there than it would in the stock location. Distracts from the over all car sitting that high, looks like a picket sign. I'm just not a fan of continental kits so personally I would never run one on my cars.

    On the diff pin. I had two ways of getting it. One was an 1/8" drill that was 12 " long with reverse cut. Found it at swap meet guy looked at me funny when I bought 6 of em. Chucked in a drill spin reverse but has enough flex to clear. Spin slow the bit catches the pin and spins it out. The other when I had the old arc welder was to turn the power down and stick a thin welding rod on it. Both ways saved my rear on a bunch of occasions
