Sad fact about Ofra Haza (RIP), the original singer. She was considered by Hans Zimmer to do the vocals for the 2000 film Gladiator, but passed away before she could be asked to do it. Lisa Gerrard’s vocals on the soundtrack are awesome, but imagine what it would have been like if the woman who gave us that awesome delivery of Deliver us had sung the vocals. RIP Ofra. He listens and then gets drawn in, now desperately trying to find who this voice belongs to as it gets closer. He then finds the voice and stares in awe, watching the woman sing before he steps or bumps into something, causing the woman to stop and then fleeing in embarrassment or something. That's just the vibe I get from her voice since it's just that angelic and powerful at the same time.
