She's got sass, she's a fighter, and has sympathy. Maybe a little dense, but ever character should have a flaw or two. Overall, the full package for a protagonist!
It wasn’t self defense, but I can’t blame him for not having any sympathy. They tried to kill him, and even if they were hacked at the end of the day they’re just robots.
It’s oddly poetic how Cassie went out of her way to help the animatronics that Gregory destroyed before her, especially considering she’s looking for Gregory. Edit: Jesus I started a war 💀
@@ParrotsAccount I can agree with Monty because he is quite ferocious. But Chica ? She was eating and she compressed her just for her voice box. Plus i'm pretty sure you can find those pieces in a maintenance area or something. Imo Gregory was rutheless compared to Cassie
A good detail that I appreciate about Roxy "coming back to life" is that it was actually foreshadowed and has a decent explanation. We have never seen the Fazwrench Deactivate an animatronic. To our knowledge, it can't do that. But we have seen the Fazwrench used to give Sun/Moon a system Reboot. And that's what I think Happened to Roxy. Cassie simply rebooted her. And the Mimic told her that she deactivated her cause.......... Well he's a jerk and he wants to eat her tears probably.
I agree, and he probably wanted her to move on from Roxy’s “body” quickly, rather than wait for her friend to reboot. Obviously Roxy can put up a heck of a fight, and I’m guessing Mimic didn’t want that if he could help it. But Mimic didn’t expect Roxy to wake up and go looking for Cassie.
Okay but the idea of Cassie becoming the ringleader of the ruined animatronics is such a good concept! She’s such an interesting character due to her relationships with the animatronics and her personality (being sweet and sassy, although a bit gullible). Overall she’s a great character that I really hope to see more of!
That would also give the new animatronics an actual reason to hunt down cassie instead of just "THEY ARE POSSESSED!!!" or "AI!!!" Fazbear ent would purposefully create robots to prevent cassie from doing what she is doing
And it'd give her a good reason to go against Gregory, because even if she doesn't end up believing that he was the one who tried to kill her, I'm sure *someone* would tell her that he's the reason the animatronics are in such bad shape!
Not trying to bring controversial topics into this or anything, but cassie is the first non white character weve seen in fnaf (atleast if the cutouts are to be believed), and it would be kind of weird if the hero good guy is gregory, while cassie is a villain.
You’re not the first person I’ve heard suggest that Cassie could take up the Vanny mantle and personally I think that would be a ton of fun, especially as a foil to Gregory. I hope whatever Carnival ends up being has some sort of confrontation between the two of them, since even if it wasn’t Gregory who yeeted her down the elevator shaft, she deserves to ask him what the hell he was doing.
I love how much they gave Cassie such a huge personality. Unlike Gregory she actually feels like a kid who exploring through an abandonment entertainment center and must defend for herself no matter the cost. Her also feeling bad for the animatronics and trying to help then shows just how much respect you can give this girl for everything.
I love Cassie's design. Her like... design we're supposed to see. I have no idea why she looks like a hello neighbor kid fused with Gregory in her model but... yeah. Obviously I've always had a soft spot for Roxy and I'm glad she got a redemption arc and such a cool kid to be partnered with.
@@ultmateragnarok8376 Eh it's a player model you only see from a pretty long distance. They likely just decided that making it look functional from a distance is all that was needed.
Your idea for Cassie as an anti-hero bothers me not because it was bad, it's actually a super awesome concept, but because there's no way I imagine them making a story as cool as that for the future games lol Great video!
Loved all the humane interactions between the ruined animatronics and Cassie. It’s a nice contrast to Gregory immediately choosing violence haha. I definitely want to see more of her as well as more of Gregory. They both interest me for differing reasons and I think their seemingly opposite personalities would play well into a proper character-developing story especially if it means we get more interactions with Freddy and Roxy (and hopefully the others). Security Breach was the least scariest game because it feeds into the friendly side too often and way less into the scary atmosphere. If we could have a friendly animatronic or two, the risk of them being potentially turned to villains in a desolate place (like the Ruined Pizzaplex) I’d be so excited. I’m honestly still really disappointed with SB because there was JUST SO MUCH potential.
i think that humans and animatronics having actual bonds could be cool. if there was some things to reference that in the next game i think would be interesting
I honestly love your idea of Cassie becoming the new Vanny. I could really see this happening especially since in her eyes, Gregory betrayed her. She only has the animatronics now. Also I love your idea of an older Gregory being haunted by his past actions. Of course if it’s him that did it lol. That would really be a great fanfic idea too ngl. But I don’t think they’re done with Cassie. The elevator ending seems to be telling us that we haven’t seen the last of her. If lets say this is the last… what’s the point of bringing in a new child character that has connections to Gregory and seemingly a father who will most likely be in the next game? It would such a weird writing choice to not have her be one of the important characters in the story going forward. They really have a good thing going here with her. I hope they don’t waste it. Besides that, I really do love Cassie. She was a really nice addition to the story.
I really enjoyed her character ! She was a very sympathetic protagonist and I liked the contrast between her and Gregory. It's pretty obvious that Gregory knows more than we think about what's going on and has a darker side to him, even if he has good intentions. Cassie is a more naïve child, who has struggle with making trust worthy friends and bonding with her distant father. I do think after being betrayed by Gregory (or the Mimic baiting her into thinking that) she is going down a dark path, especially considering she's pretty easy to manipulate, at least when it comes to her feelings. I don't think she'll become evil tho, just disillusioned.
Totally agree man she could get manipulated by the mask or either get dependent of it finally I think she could go down a revenge path or delusional like you said.
Evil is subjective. We see all of the time that "evil" acts are done for the good of the people having them become heroes. We actually have a very interesting situation with Cassie and Gregory where we can have multiple games where one or the other is the focal character dealing with the situations around fazbear entertainment. Gregory is connected to Freddy now while if we go with Cassie accepting the Vanny mask as a part of her developing identity, she would become more connected to Bonnie.
@wafagdplqs4421 What if the kid was the anti-christ. Or was an active cog in a genocide. The morality of the situation is shaped by the situation. That all said I have a lot of hope that Cassie and Gregory can be used to tell worthwhile stories in the franchise for some time.
I remember talking with a friend about the normal ending and she brought up the fact that the elevator in security breach was a one-way trip, so maybe this one was too and nobody sabotaged the elevator, it just fell on its own. Idk if it’s true but it’s a neat little hypothesis
@rfurthegamer3412 It's difficult for me to find theories on Five Nights at Freddy's when all that pops up is matpat or someone who just says the exact same thing is him just worded different to give the illusion of a different version of a theory
I do want to point out that the Fazwrench is only used on one other animatronic, that being Sun/Moon, and when used, it merely reboots him. I think that Cassie merely THOUGHT she was deactivating Roxanne, but instead sent her into a reboot mode. This sort of reboot seems to possibly enhance the strength or logistics of the animatronic and helps them reassess the situation they are in. This would imply that, after rebooting, Roxanne would know where Cassie was going and promptly followed her after she frees herself from under the forklift, allowing her to reach the sealed room mere moments before the Mimic can grab her. On another note, if there is a second DLC, it will be interesting if it focuses on someone who's favored animatronic is Chica. It's unknown what sort of threat they could face as the assumed canonical ending is where Cassie destroys the Mimic with the scooping machine.
@@prufan That is the "default" ending and the game is glitched in most copies in that after Cassie falls, the game ends and nothing else happens as she's presumed dead. If there is a sequence that plays after the elevator falls, 99% of players don't know about it. The reason the scooping ending is presumed the true ending is because it requires extra secret steps to take and when performed, the Mimic is dressed up in a disguise of the cobbled together mascot outfits, referencing the book story featuring said Mimic.
@legionbeast idk which is the canon ending but it certainly feels like the 3 endings are basically a good, bad, and neutral ending. (Scooper, Brazil, and Neutral respectively.) On one hand it's weird to go with the neutral end over the good, but the good ending takes extra steps that might make it confusing if it is the ending they use. I also think the cut dialogue is from the scooper ending, which makes me wonder if was cut to make it clear that's not canon or just because they decided to end it before any dialogue happens. Regardless I hope Cassie returns (and has a better model my goodness)
@@wakkaseta8351 Sister location also had an additional mode confirming what the true ending was as well as the false ending literally having an overlay telling the player it was a fake ending.
It would be nice if Cassie could refurbish the animatronics. They could possibly work through their character flaws together with her so that they would all grow as antiheroes for a future title as well. She already assisted Sun/Moon/Eclipse in that manner to some extent, so it seems within her character. I would favor a future title where we get to play as her doing all of this, but I agree that it seems more likely that it will all happen off screen so it's a dramatic reveal.
Imagine a fixed Bonnie being an even more anti- version of them as antiheros. There could be like four different factions around. Gregory and Vanessa and Freddy, Fazbear entertainment, Cassie and the Shattereds, and Bonnie against them. Maybe even bring back some of the characters from the games up through 6, though I'd prefer not. It could be cool, but unfortunately I doubt Steel Wool has any interest in any grand story arcs. But in my heart there's a JRPG scale game about the conflict between Fazbear as a company, Gregory and crew, and Cassie and the gang, where you play as a random Fazbear employee who gets to choose which faction to side with. And you have a boss fight against the CEO of Fazbear's who's literally just some guy that you can punch in the throat and kill in one hit.
I can imagine her giving them new casings that make them the "super" animatronics and her standing with mask on and hands on hips in the middle of them haha
@@therandomcommenter6629 the real monster is always the man behind the killings. William Afton. As the series has gone on people have been wishing for some good guy animatronics ,and I think we saw that as far back as the "good guy foxy" theory.
I hope I wasn't the only one who knew what you meant by "rainbow highlights" on your Community Poll, because I totally agree with you. Vanny has so much potential to bring the slasher vibes that the series needs back, and Cassie is such a breath of fresh air that I wouldn't mind them giving her a darker story arc at all. Whether she's our new protagonist, or new antagonist, I hope she returns
Honestly, I would love to see her possibly sneak them out and repair them. Or even just slowly repair them in the Pizzaplex, slowly turning it into a hidden 'sanctuary' of sorts to her. Since I honestly doubt that Fazbear entertainment will ever actually repair it, it would be the perfect place for her to learn the skills to be a technician like her father. Just this time her sympathy to them means she tries to find out ways to bypass the issues they were deliberately built into them(Such as needing charging areas). Imagine she starts off with Roxy and Eclipse, learning how to do basic repairs and replace parts safely before moving onto Chica who has damaged herself to the point she is being forcibly shut down at times, and maybe even eventually working on Bonnie(since we aren't sure if they just never found him, acted like he was missing after failing to repair him, etc) and maybe even trying her hand at Monty(since I think it would be funny to have his arms bound and have either Chica or Roxy treat him like an actual gator and hold his mouth closed while she worked on him). Either way I think she could be a great foil with Gregory and Freddy, even possibly driving a wedge if she did successfully repair even just one or two of his friends from the Pizzaplex. If she managed to repair most if not all of them it could be extremely interesting to see how Freddy would feel with the option to stick with Gregory and Vanessa, or be able to hang out with his friends as how he remembers them before the virus/whatever it was. Especially since I can see it being an issue that Gregory has to win back Cassie's trust along with the animatronics(since he was admittedly ruthless to them), meaning that Cassie has an ultimatum to Freddy that he can either have Gregory or his friends, but not both.
I love the Complete Breakdown, I’m not a fan of actually playing Fnaf games. However watching the lore is good entertainment & your videos are the best in my opinion. You completely breakdown all there is in game, add context & finish out all the pieces people like me would’ve never know about. Thank you & please keep up the fantastic content!
I can *definitely* vibe with Cassie!Vanny. I’d like to imagine she and the animatronics working with her would be semi-neutral parties. They would help average security guards, lost kids, or anyone who was being hurt by Fazbear. But also going after anyone associated with Gregory or the shady parts of Fazbear. Plus, the two animatronics most likely to help her, Roxy and Eclipse, already have some kind of beef with Gregory (Roxy’s eyes were stolen by him, and Sun banned Gregory from the daycare) so they’d have a reason to fight Gregory and his associates. And I don’t think they’d think too kindly of Fazbear after they *literally* left them to rot. Overall, it makes sense, and it’d be really interesting to have a character like this in fnaf. Whether she’d be an anti-villain, anti-hero, or a character who’s role depends on who the player character is

Hmm, the part going over the pondering of Cassie being an antagonist force and taking over the Vanny role to a degree. If she did help the animatronics to the best of her ability, she'd almost be an antagonist human Puppet. A human who puts the animatronics back together and seeking revenge on the humans who left them all behind, Gregory, Vanessa and maybe even Fazbear Entertainment itself. Which could work even more, as Cassie's father is a Fazbear technician, so maybe Cassie could learn from her father to rebuild Eclipse, Roxy and Chica in secret, maybe in conjunction with a repurposed MXES system. Although now my mind went, "If in a future game Gregory has a show down against Antagonist Cassie, she could die for drama and then become an animatronic for greater drama." Granted, sure within the theory realm there's some rumbling of annoyance at the possibility of nobody staying dead, but I would say having a character we've gotten to know for once making a come back or two isn't all that bad. And there is a bit about where the Mimic would fit into things. Honestly I am lukewarm on the Mimic, so if they wanted to wave it away as like "Cassie survived the elevator, got rescued by Roxy then tricked the Mimic into being scooped so Cassie is the antagonist now" I would be perfectly fine with that I do wonder where the games will go now. I could see Help Wanted 2 be a kind of step back into the familiar as they reevaluate things after the fiasco that was Security Breach, but Ruin was a pleasant surprise, and I hope they take the positive reactions to it and do cool stuff. I mostly want actual up front and interesting stories from these games, as the original Security Breach trailers had such possibility to them, that sadly didn't come through in the final product. What will Help Wanted 2 entail and what will come after? Hopefully lessons learned and cool stuff forward. That they don't panic about if people guess where things might go because that's how stories work Steel Wool! In the end, here's hoping cool stuff can come in the future, just with better scope and realization of ideas.
" and then become an animatronic for greater drama." I'd guess she possesses Roxy. I do like your theory though. " Cassie could learn from her father to rebuild Eclipse, Roxy and Chica in secret," Considering how he's absent for who knows how long and Cassie is underneath the Pizzaplex, I don't see that happening, Cassie doesn't need her father in order to make repairs, Gregory was able to upgrade Freddy by himself and Cassie likely learned enough to get by. I think the idea is stronger if Cassie has to do it all herself, with the animatronics of course.
I really love your Vanny/Cassie idea. She could even call herself Vannie. Lol Like with an "ie" XD Also, something I always found interesting about the Brazil Ending is that... Vanessa appears in it with the same plaid purple she wears in PQ ending. Which is so strange to me, because it means Cassie knows who Vanessa is. So the timeline for Gregory and Cassie's friendship is that she knew him before the events of Security Breach. He went missing (probably when he was homeless living in the pizzaplex) and she was devastated by him going missing. Then the events post-security Breach, Gregory must have found her and reconnected again as she speaks about Gregory as if they're still close, and that's really the only way she could have possibly met Vanessa. Although, judging from the picture... she was never close to Vanessa or knew her that well. I just find the timeline nature of their relationship wonky/odd.
It is very odd. O.o Especially since we don't know how long Ruin takes place after SB. Though I could imagine that Cassie might've seen Vanessa in passing- maybe as Gregory's 'mother'- and just doesn't know her too well.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 Yeah, that would be my best guess. I also have another smaller theory that the post-it note room is actually Gregory communicating with the Mimic. Since the mimic would have had to know about Cassie beforehand to exploit her venerable and lonely nature. Though that's all conjecture. the mimic might have learned of Cassie when Gregory sealed the mimic down there.
It would be interesting if Cassie became something more villain like unsure about another one like Vanessa but something maybe more personal to Gregory in some form. I really hope they do bring her back in some way and that she isn't just one game and gone.
Cassie reminds me a lot of Charlie. They are both very kind characters that care a lot about animatronics. And they look very similar to each other. I'm just hoping game theory doesn't think Cassie is a robot of Charlie. Even though they do have some similarities, it's a bit obvious that they're a lot different.
20:34 I love this idea! It would be amazing to have her as an anti-hero version of Vanny. For everything that she's been through, I think you're onto something. Seriously, I'm surprised you haven't been hired by Steel Wool yet. ❤❤
I really love Cassie a lot she was a really good nice and interesting protagonist with a good and interesting personality that I hope we get to see more of in future games since her story doesn't seem complete neither with Gregory story or the security breach story in general so im excited to see more of theses characters and if she may hate and want revenge on Gregory in the future or if she may become another puppet for the evil glitchy rabbit glitchtrap/mimic1 But either way im excited to see what you say about Cassie and your opinions on her and stuff
I think her father is dead. She seems to use past tense when talking about him. I suspect he died during the employee night meeting. I also don’t believe Gregory dropped the elevator. Next to the elevator door is a generator or some sort of battery. It’s right within the Mimic’s reach.
The dramatically dynamic choice is to have the normal ending be the canon ending, and to say that cassie survived because the real roxy found her. It leaves the most pieces on the board to move the story along in the future. The scooper ending in particular would be a waste, since the Mimic dying not only wastes a potential new antagonist, but also render Ruin kind of..... pointless? If the mimic is gone truly gone, then virtually nothing that happens in Ruin has any weight to the rest of the series.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 That would be 100% on brand. *glances awkwardly at Vanny*. But I was just making a suggested direction. Not trying to guess at what they'll do. I imagine long term contract negotiation probably plays a role? Does Steel Wool have an ongoing arrangement with Scott for a given number of titles? How far ahead is it that they can actually plan?
Cassie is definitely one of the most interesting characters we have seen so far, since I personally found that Ruin was a disappointment, especially with The Mimic because I believe the only reason is here is because to have a connection to the book (seriously, the only reason the books are still coming out is because of the lore) Plus, Cassie did made Roxy look like a nice character, acting like a type of mother-figure / sister-figure, so yeah, she's a nice character
I gotta say I felt a similair way about Cassie. I didn't care for her too much at first but now she's definitley one of my favorites and I'd love to see her come back. I'd love to see her return as a vigilante Vanny someday, that would be epic! Also, great video! Your fnaf content is some of the best out there
Cassie has become my favorite protagonist just as Roxy has become my favorite animatronic. I find them both very relatable. I'm not fully onboard with Cassie evolving as an antagonist, but I would love to see more of her ability to befriend and repair animatronics allowing her to build up her own personal army of loyal animatronics that serve her out of love rather than as mindless slaves.
I think Cassie's amount of personality and backstory comes from complaints fans had about Gregory as a character in the base game. If you think about it, a lot of Ruin seems made in mind with what people didn't like about SB (good on Steel Wool for listening to fans), and I think Cassie works really well because she's not as flat and mysterious as Gregory. Despite only appearing in one dlc so far, Cassie's very interesting to me, and I like her as a character
Vanny!Cassie is a really neat idea! Dunno if we can trust Steelwool to see the potential in such a concept tho. I mean, Ruin was fine for the most part, aside from the budget Ennard/reskined Burntrap that was the Mimic and a couple of other things. Having Cassie be an antihero of sorts would be really cool. I imagine it’d be similar to what Michael could’ve been if given more screentime. A fresh take to benefit the series after the many dumpster fires from the Frights and so on. Hopefully Steelwool can craft this kind of storyline. They’ve proven they can make unique things when they’re not reusing ideas for the nth time. Otherwise it’ll be a shame if they stick with the lore-bait and half cut storylines. Very nice video with an idea that I never would’ve thought of. I loved it^^!
But does she really think Greg betrayed her? She just found out about the mimic, who was mimicking Gregory the whole night. For her to suddenly just believe the voice on the speaker is the REAL Gregory, doesn't make sense. With as gullible as she was thought Ruin, she was starting to ask the right questions in the end of Ruin.
Great video! Cassie is a great character! So much better than Gregory in my opinion, I really hope she and Roxy return in another DLC or more added chapters for Ruin or a full on sequel in Security Breach 2, I really love their relationship and I hope it doesn't go to waste. They really can't leave us hanging on a massive cliffhanger like that, I definitely think they both will return at some point, I always loved Roxy and Ruin made me love her even more! Her development was amazing! I also hope in the next DLC or chapters or sequel, I hope Glamrock Chica joins them too since we give her back her voice box, I think she deserves development too. As much as I love Roxy and Eclipse's development, I don't think it would be fair if they only did it for them. I also hope to see Glamrock Freddy, The real Gregory and Vanessa return as well to end The Mimic once and for all, That would be awesome! But only time will tell, Great video once again.
Because Gregory was hampered by cuts in the game (removing lines that made him more “human”, even in the ruin where he also has a line cut), they must have learned from their mistakes and thus delivered a great Cassie character . I'm so happy for Cassie, they really made her better than Gregory, but I'm also sad for the boy. By the way, your theory is great, it would be a good outcome for security breach.
I like the idea that Cassie would be the leader of a group of rag-tag robots. They follow her because she repaired them close to their original state and they'd have a common enemy in Fazbear Entertainment. Not necessarily a villain, but a morally grey character going after an evil company with questionable methods.
I do love how solid Cassie's character is. While it still ends in a mystery, I hope we get to see more of her. That last minute talk about how upset you were going to be when Cassie will be related to Cassidy lmao
If the game Mimic has a similar backstory to the book Mimic in any way, it would also be interesting to see the contrasting methods of Gregory and Cassie play out in regards to how to defeat it. Gregory seems to seek out destruction as his first answer to dealing with things, while Cassie might end up reasoning with it or finding out how to beat it with it's own flaws. It would be interesting if Greg's methods, while more technically savvy and direct, end up making things worse, while Cassie being more familiar with interacting with the animatronics as "people" ends up doing more to help diffuse the situation. Maybe the game can strike up a conversation between the characters over that.
I will say, if steelwool does decide to wait for people's reaction to see what they do with Cassie, making her an antagonist might be very plausible, the idea seems to be getting very popular, and with the elevator ending, both her and roxy definitely have some feelings againts Gregory
From what I've seen I think the normal ending may be the canon one, mainly due to the security camera. The light in it's lens is yellow. Where else have we seen that light? Helpi's eyes when he's being manipulated by the Mimic/Glitchtrap and in the eyes of the Mimic itself. I think that the Mimic used the deactivation of the security nexus to start taking over the system after Roxy was rebooted and used that control to drop the elevator to keep Cassie from getting out and linking up with Gregory, while also using her as a lure to get Gregory to come back to the Megaplex. Why is it fixated on Gregory coming back? Roxy's eyes and Freddy's head. I think the Megaplex was purpose built to cover the ruins of the original pizzeria that housed the remains of Afton, but it's purpose was lost to time as the years wore on. The Glamrock animatronics were made to serve as guardians of the site, integral parts of the security grid that helped cover the sinkhole. Each animatronic seems to have some form of weapon to use against the Mimic if the need arises, Monty's claws (formerly Bonny's), Chica's voice, Freddy's ability to evacuate/hide kids in his chest cavity and his independant nature (hence the prototype markings on his foot we now see, he may well be the prototype model that the rest of the Glamrocks are based off of) and most importantly Roxy's eyes. Roxy is the key because she'd be the first line of defense against the Mimic if it somehow breached containment, she'd be able to see it's endo through any disguise. That's also why her attraction is built on top of the sink hole, if something did breach it the go karting track and all of that tarmac and steel would go tumbling down into the sink hole, filling it and providing time for Fazbear workers to get on site and assess the situation so they could attempt to contain the Mimic/Glitchtrap once more. The problem is that after so many years of running the purpose of the site was lost, funding and corners were cut by the Fazbear Corporation and the security system and it's guardians corrupted by the Glitchtrap virus, which I see as Afton's dark, supernatural influence seeping into the software above him and tainting it, resulting in the character flaws we see in the Glamrocks. Ultimately it resulted in Vannie as the Glitchtrap virus finally got to interact with a human properly via VR and had time to work on them, resulting in them becoming it's puppet and letting them indirectly tinker with the security nexus, but it couldn't tinker with the lynchpins directly for fear of getting the puppet fired. Then Gregory showed up and royally threw a spanner in the works of that plan. This is why Cassie is so important to it. Cassie has a direct connection to the security system and therefore the virus through the mask and it's implant and is indeed a viable replacement Vannie that can bring it's plans to fruition, it's seen what Gregory can do and wants to alter it's approach to use this tiny agent of chaos as a new avenue... And perhaps ultimately a new way out, given that the basement location has a scooping room. And it's paid off for it brilliantly, Cassie has demolished the remaining security nodes (rebooting Eclipse to clear it's security status, destroying Monty, shutting down Chica, rebooting Roxy and Freddy's off having adventures well away from the security grid with Gregory) and made her way right into the beast's lair, ready to be claimed... Until the rebooted Roxy followed it's protection protocols and spoiled things. But now it has a way to get the last potential threat to it out of the way: Gregory, Freddy and Roxy's detection system. I can see the next instalment of Security Breach maybe doing something new: having two active protagonists that we switch between. Gregory would be drawn back to the Megaplex with Freddie and Vanessa to rescue Cassie and reinstate the security grid. We'd play as him as he rebuilds Freddie, Chica, Monty and Bonnie with the help of Eclipse while Cassie works her way up from the depths with Roxy's help, facing the unearthed horrors of the basement complex as she goes. The two would then pair up with the rebuilt and upgraded animatronics to seal the basement site for good and destroy the virus before leaving to finally give us that happy ending we've been wanting for a while. Though, perhaps only for them. Who knows how far the Afton virus has spread through Fazbear's networks and sites?
Cassie on the teaser image is actually black and white, except the obvious bright color on her shoe, any color you see on her is perceived by the brain and isn’t actually there
Perhaps, but the light highlights of the hair look more blond than brunette to me. Plus, interestingly enough, you can see that her clothing slightly changed!
I honestly love that idea of cassie being a new vanny. It could also eventually have Vanessa as a main character. It could make her have some more character as well woth wanting to make up for her mistakes and see herself in cassie and want to make up for her mistakes and sympathize with Cassie. Cassie also has good motive to be a driving force against Gregory Vanessa and even Freddy since she doesn’t know she wasn’t attacked by the real Freddy. Her being trapped down in the pizza plex for a good amount of time would completely traumatize her. Especially if that wasn’t actually Roxy and was the mimic. That would mean she would need to be hiding, finding some source of food, trying to find a way out AND running from the mimic all alone for who knows how long. That’s something that would live with her and make her a bitter and untrusting person. There’s just a lot they could do with her especially if they go down that route.(although i highly doubt it seeing as they never choose the good options for the story. And they’ve never had a good written protagonist since Michael and even that was limited)
Wow. That idea of Cassie being the next Vanny is actually so interesting and would not mind seeing it 😂 you should def be a screenwriter you are so creative.
Very interesting idea! We’ve already warmed up to Cassie so it wouldn’t be too hard to see her as a sympathetic antagonistic character (perhaps not full villain like you said), and the odds being in her favour ups the scary factor! Let’s just hope this isn’t a MatPat type scenario and you don’t get a message from Steel Wool Studios telling you to stop coming up with fantastic ideas lol
Yeah, but a human is different. Muscle structure is important to keep things together. Plus- *looks at rusty, gawky Mimic who can barely shuffle around* Yeah, I'm sure this thing can make it work.
That megamind reference! I really like your idea, it would be like rebooting FNAF, this time with robots being controlled rather than haunted, and with a a different type of revenge, to boot! I hope Cassie sticks for long, she's really neat. You're really awesome, thank you for another video :D
15:00 Oh my god that would be AMAZING! Cassie as a vigilante with the Vanny mask and abilities being backed by Roxy, Eclipse, and Chica would kind of make her a hybrid of Vanny and the Puppet (Also with the revenge fueled vigilante wearing a high tech mask angle... probably Red Hood lol). And considering all the parallels and cameos we've seen of Charlie/the Puppet/Nightmarionne that would be SO fitting. We'll probably never see that but it would be so good! Dangit Scott/Steel Wool we NEED this!
I like the idea of Cassie becoming the new Vanny. I think it would be thematic and cool, because whenever we see a rabbit in this series we always go “Wow it’s Afton woohoo…” but with this it can twist things up. Edit: This could also open the opportunity to make Gregory more likable/not so confusing. I like Gregory and all, but I thought him being patient 46, and some master manipulator behind the scenes just bloats his character and make him too confusing. I think it could have been better to make him basically a homeless child hiding from Vanny, then in Ruin add the extra stuff because he’s now had history with Freddy’s. (We all know from the books that this series isn’t afraid of giving these children horrible lives.)
"opportunity to make Gregory more likable" How would that work? He's done a whole bunch of bad things in Security Breach alone, one of which was against her best friend Roxy.
Gregory was also hampered by the cuts in the game, some of his cut lines make him genuinely more "human", even in the Ruin DLC he has a cut line that he would say in the elevator (although there is a theory that says Mimic crashed the elevator, considering Gregory's choppy speech, SteelWool wants Greogy to be the one to take him down). Personally, I think the fact that he knocked over the elevator destroys his character a little, but if Scott wants it that way, unfortunately it will be that way.
It is heavily implied that nobody showed up for Cassie’s birthday. Even Roxy says “I’m sure your friends will show up next time”. Or.. something along the lines of that. Roxy and Cassie do have history, and it’s most likely that is the reason why Roxy is her favorite animatronic. As implied, Cassie doesn’t have a mother figure (possibly), Roxy is the closest she has, really. God I’m reading to deep into this aughhh
I actually think if their going to do a next game… have a option to have both be playable characters with their own “bonuses” - makes for a good reason to play through multiple times. Have Gregory be more of a charismatic engineer. I.e. he has a good ability of dealing with people and making friends and having Freddy’s head he gains quite a bit of insightful knowledge through the bear (+ could throw in that Vanessa has gave Freddy a new body or that he can “take over” bodies you place his head over). Cassie can be a techish fighter who less charismatic but more witty and actually would be able to fend for herself in a fight vs a rampaging endo. Throw in her potential ability to hack stuff including endos and turn them neutral after brining them down somewhat. You can also have Roxy be her second with a lot more combat ability than Freddy and having a full body straight away with strengths, but is very limited in what changes she can make to tackle different opponents.
Also imagine something like Resident Evil 2: Where you two protagonists who each have their own story, sometimes the stories would crossover but most of the time the characters are separate but working towards the same goal
Interesting thing about Cassie, Cassie is stunned by looking monty and chica, and wonders what happened to them but not at all surprised at looking roxy only feeling bad for it which means Gregory has told Cassie about roxy shattering.
Its just a shame knowing that they probably wont make her the next Vanny. If they pulled it off it could be amazing. I just hope they do right by ONE female character anyway, even if that just means she and Roxy miraculously escape and have a happy ending.
I would not be shocked if Ruin was literally Cassie's villain origin story. I beg you Scott please don't just shaft another character I've become genuinely quite attached to Cassie and want to see her again in future games.
God I wish steel wool would hire you for a writing lead, your ideas always ROCK man. In just a few minutes of spilling story ideas, you fix so many issues and the concepts get me so HYPED!!!
You’ve sold me, we need evil Cassie as a major threat now. It would be built up well, be a strong threat, and would be a dark twist that this series desperately needs
FNaF built its antagonist off of a psychopath murderer using the classic trope of employees misusing mascot costumes. When it was later revealed William was one of the co-founders of Freddie’s, it gave way for us to see his twisted mechanical machinations through sister location (my favorite game) and it added even more depth to his character, in a way bringing him back over and over as scrap trap and burn trap didn’t. However, if Cassie were to take up the role as an antagonist but as a sympathetic one, she could be murdering not for pleasure but as a technician behind the scenes trying to systematically overthrow Fazbear Entertainment. And she would be far better set up to take on a new identity with a new theme of killing, potentially in a wolf or fox suit instead of a bunny one like was used for so long. Also, side tangent, but thank you for admitting the men don’t have it much better in the FNaF story. While I definitely want to see some better female protagonists and antagonists in FNaF and in media in general, people sometimes forget that women’s representation being better has been a problem entertainment has been working on for a long time while there hasn’t been much effort to improve the media quality of men. Some of the most evil characters in FNaF and many other series are male or at least masculine-coded, often by the “big scary monster” antagonist trope. I’d say Michael is probably the only likable male protagonist in FNaF with Gregory kinda seeming like a traitor in ruin, and even Michael started out as a bully. It’d be nice to explore a male protagonist like the crying child who’s a victim of the awful adults in this game, but is still proactive and somewhat competent even if broken. That’s what I feel was handled well with Cassie and some of the other characters in this series that got less screen time like the personalities in the Funtime crew and the original murdered children. That’s what all good protagonists in this series should be. Broken, but the only ones who can push forward.
"Potentially in a wolf or fox suit" Why a fox? Seems kinda random, and while I can understand why a wolf, it's unnecessary with Roxy already around. I think her dressing up as a new VANNI is more thematically fitting, since Cassie's dad had Bonnie as his favourite, she loves carrot cake, and she seems to like Bonnie enough to ask what happened to him, and of course the Security Mask. I'd rather see the Vanny identity used for good this time. As for Gregory, he was already not the nicest person in the base game, with his treatment of the animatronics and repeated lying.
@@prufan I had said a Wolf Mask since Roxy is her favorite and she’s trapped with Roxy currently, and I said fox because Roxy is kind of like a new interpretation of Foxy. A Bunny mask would make more sense than a Fox mask tho, you’re right
Lol I’m in school rn I’ll finish this vid at home or lunch Lolol glad ur covering the topic! I’m looking forward to learning about Cassie and Gregory and their connections to the Freddy’s franchise.
I always thought that Cassie would be the next Charlie/Puppet, that she would basically go back through the pizzeria to fix (give gifts) to all the 4 animatronic, and return them to a functioning order (give life). But your idea also makes a lot of sense too.
Heres my thing, Gregory and Freddy set up not every animatronic needs to be an evil murder machine and Cassies attitude helps expand this and I want more, I dont need souless monsters any more
Damn. You really hit us with the: “Someone can be nice and still have their resolve break. And who’s to say stepping up isn’t a nice thing to do?” Omg if Cassie becomes a (anti…?) hero/vigilante, you are right when you say this is a huge new spin on this series. Ok, ok, if we believe Michael is out there burning down Fazbear Frights and whatnot, then his arson is, uh, definitely not legal lol. My comparison/thought on how you said that Cassie’s compassion is interesting in her character is that Gregory and her make great foils. Gregory’s environment was the bright, state-of-the-art Pizzaplex where he ruins the sentient animatronics with no want to speak with them or see an alternative way. His logic is that they are trying to kill him, so he has a right to stop them completely through their own deaths. Obviously, this is a controversial part of SB’s writing/plot because we are all very attached to the new animatronic characters and dislike seeing them essentially maimed in front of us. We see it as an injustice because we believe that we can “unhack” them or simply avoid them the entire night. I point out here is that Gregory’s belief is that they forfeit their right to life because they are, well, machines who are out for blood. If a human murderer is chasing us, do we try to subdue rather than kill? Would we care if this murderer is possessed? Is that the same reaction that we would do to a murderous, hacked machine? What if Gregory has no idea that these animatronics are hacked in the first place? … Anyway, Cassie’s foil here is that she is in a terrifying, dark, decrepit place where she sympathizes heavily with the animatronics. Hell, even her voice about Monty sounds more from disbelief and shock rather than straight fear imo. IDK how to really continue with this line of thought because I’m just typing along with this comment, but I love this character analysis of Cassie. Your videos on FNAF are very insightful!
Thank you so much! 8D And I definitely agree with you on the contrast and differences between Gregory and Cassie's experiences- especially if it was used in the future to change who they become.
" What if Gregory has no idea that these animatronics are hacked in the first place?" Pretty sure that Gregory and Freddy were aware that something has infected the glamrocks.
@@prufan Yeah, my bad. Gregory obviously knows that the animatronics are out to kill him throughout the night. I think that it's the daycare charge station (where Vanny is seen for the first time) that Freddy mentions something about his friends helping and Gregory shutting that down.

I'm sorry but just the idea of him doing all of this just to eat her tears sent me to jesus

I'm really intrigued with what Steel Wool is planning if they continue to focus on Cassie's family since they have a connection to the FE.
Don't worry, they won't. If they keep the Fnaf traditional then it'll be a new protagonist and antagonist in the next game
A good speculation I heard is that Cassie's dad is who we'll play as in Help wanted 2.
@@WaallyOne Nah, Cassie's story ended on a cliff hanger and will be continued.

@@viewer6152 i would die for a golden freddy chao

Not just Cassie, but her bond with Roxy was so compelling.
@@RFDN0I agree. Tho, I don't think evil is subjective when it comes to k*lling kids for instance 😅.
@wafagdplqs4421 What if the kid was the anti-christ. Or was an active cog in a genocide.

@@The_Hush_Dragontry watching ID's Fantasy, she has very different opinions from Matt on the timeline
The assumed canonical ending is the elevator one.
(Scooper, Brazil, and Neutral respectively.)
On one hand it's weird to go with the neutral end over the good, but the good ending takes extra steps that might make it confusing if it is the ending they use.
I also think the cut dialogue is from the scooper ending, which makes me wonder if was cut to make it clear that's not canon or just because they decided to end it before any dialogue happens.
Regardless I hope Cassie returns (and has a better model my goodness)
Sister Location's second ending also required extra secret steps, but that doesn't mean it was canon.
I wonder if she'd fix Bonnie. Like- specifically for her to use against Gregory, by taking Freddy onto her side.
This is a horror franchise about killer animatronics when did this change😢

Honestly I am lukewarm on the Mimic, so if they wanted to wave it away as like "Cassie survived the elevator, got rescued by Roxy then tricked the Mimic into being scooped so Cassie is the antagonist now" I would be perfectly fine with that
I do wonder where the games will go now.
I really love Cassie a lot she was a really good nice and interesting protagonist with a good and interesting personality that I hope we get to see more of in future games since her story doesn't seem complete neither with Gregory story or the security breach story in general so im excited to see more of theses characters and if she may hate and want revenge on Gregory in the future or if she may become another puppet for the evil glitchy rabbit glitchtrap/mimic1
But either way im excited to see what you say about Cassie and your opinions on her and stuff
I mean, true, but I wouldn't be surprised if the series did that if they decided to abruptly shift direction.
Im so glad you did a Cassie video, she’s one of my favorite characters in the newer FNAF games. Thanks for the video NotRealName!
You're very welcome!
Cassie becoming a bit of an antihero type protag would be a neat idea. Still a protag but maybe bitter and resenting toward Gregory and after him.
Cassie is definitely one of the most interesting characters we have seen so far, since I personally found that Ruin was a disappointment, especially with The Mimic because I believe the only reason is here is because to have a connection to the book (seriously, the only reason the books are still coming out is because of the lore)
Plus, Cassie did made Roxy look like a nice character, acting like a type of mother-figure / sister-figure, so yeah, she's a nice character
I gotta say I felt a similair way about Cassie. I didn't care for her too much at first but now she's definitley one of my favorites and I'd love to see her come back. I'd love to see her return as a vigilante Vanny someday, that would be epic! Also, great video! Your fnaf content is some of the best out there
1:33 I have never seen this before and thus never knew I needed it. This image gives me life.
I've got to admit that it would make sense for Cassie to become a villain, knowing that Gregory betrayed her
I’m still a Gregory fan, but Cassie is really cool and I’m glad they gave her more of a personality and made her act like an actual kid would.
What’s up shadow bowser! I recognise you from Super rockers streams.
@@Five_Night_Vidz Oh, Hi what’s up
Because Gregory was hampered by cuts in the game (removing lines that made him more “human”, even in the ruin where he also has a line cut), they must have learned from their mistakes and thus delivered a great Cassie character . I'm so happy for Cassie, they really made her better than Gregory, but I'm also sad for the boy. By the way, your theory is great, it would be a good outcome for security breach.
I swear. You, IDsFantasy, Fuhnaff, and RyeToast just make life complete. So thanks for being you.
D'aww, shucks! 😊Thank you too!
cassie is the main character in the security breach ruin dlc
very fune
thak yuo
First. Let’s see… Bugeyed Cassie is literal nightmare fuel.
I’m decillionth
Also indeed, it looks worse than Aubergine Man Jr.
She’s one of the crying child’s nightmares
She's seen a little too much. ;)
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 I’m seeing some weird parallels there with Roxy🤔. May’ve been intentional for all we know XD
I will say, if steelwool does decide to wait for people's reaction to see what they do with Cassie, making her an antagonist might be very plausible, the idea seems to be getting very popular, and with the elevator ending, both her and roxy definitely have some feelings againts Gregory
11:55 here my guess is that the overlap is Gregory and the mimic talking and later the mimic using Roxy’s voice
Hard to say who is who,the mimic has a huge story to tell next year
From what I've seen I think the normal ending may be the canon one, mainly due to the security camera.
The way you casually call Eclipse your "child" was random and hilarious.
I love how her and Gregory have a personality, Cassie is so smart and I enjoyed playing as her
My headcanon for her is that she’s Afro Puerto Rican
Cassie on the teaser image is actually black and white, except the obvious bright color on her shoe, any color you see on her is perceived by the brain and isn’t actually there
Perhaps, but the light highlights of the hair look more blond than brunette to me.
Plus, interestingly enough, you can see that her clothing slightly changed!
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 it looks like Cassie originally had fingerless gloves, looking closely at the poster.
21:56 you know I was think the same thing. Now when I talk about Ruin it is the but of every one of my jokes that Cassie is Cassidy.
that idea about cassie becoming the new vanny freakin' slaps!
it's a lot better than my idea of cassie dying & going onto possessing roxy...
9:36 the mimic can compres his body to fit in any animatronics
Yeah, but a human is different. Muscle structure is important to keep things together. Plus-
*looks at rusty, gawky Mimic who can barely shuffle around*
Yeah, I'm sure this thing can make it work.
That megamind reference! I really like your idea, it would be like rebooting FNAF, this time with robots being controlled rather than haunted, and with a a different type of revenge, to boot! I hope Cassie sticks for long, she's really neat. You're really awesome, thank you for another video :D
wait when was the megamind reference? i didnt catch it
@@strawberryshortpup3655 at 18:36! It's little, but it's cool!
@@karldi7648 ty for responding!! I didn't catch that the first time. I love a good megamind reference
I actually really like your idea of Cassie replacing vanny as a anti hero out for revenge
When you said Eclipse is your child, I felt that.
Also imagine something like Resident Evil 2:
Where you two protagonists who each have their own story, sometimes the stories would crossover but most of the time the characters are separate but working towards the same goal
This would be cool. They could even do a concept like this in Dead by Daylight?
1:38 Cassie likes Roxy so much she even has special eyes.
i really like Cassie, she's sweet and i hope she is used more (also if she turned into a new Vanny, i think calling her Vanni would be cool)
I love the idea of Cas-Van (Cassie Vanny). This would totally work!
I'm in love with the idea of Cassie becoming an antagonist. The points made reminds me of Curie from Pokémon Uranium.
A Bunny mask would make more sense than a Fox mask tho, you’re right
Okay the Cassie as our new vanny idea, I cannot get it out of my mind, Steel wool needs to do this oh my god
Theory:Gregory didn’t lie to Cassie the mimic used his voice
Lol I’m in school rn I’ll finish this vid at home or lunch Lolol glad ur covering the topic!
I’m looking forward to learning about Cassie and Gregory and their connections to the Freddy’s franchise.
I just realised that the reason Greg dropped Cassie is probably because he couldn't risk that being the mimic was mimicking Cassie
That theoretical scenario is such a good way to take her character lets hope Scott can actually pull it off
ooh im pretty exited since she seems to be a pretty neat character ironically similar to vanny or vanessa
7:20 👀
Seriously though I love all the little nods and references scattered through each video!
Hearing the idea, it gave me literal chills. I really think it would be an incredible thing for whatever comes next for Cassie.
cassie looks so cute in her cut-out art. her model... is less cute. uncanny, even.
I always thought that Cassie would be the next Charlie/Puppet, that she would basically go back through the pizzeria to fix (give gifts) to all the 4 animatronic, and return them to a functioning order (give life). But your idea also makes a lot of sense too.
Heres my thing, Gregory and Freddy set up not every animatronic needs to be an evil murder machine and Cassies attitude helps expand this and I want more, I dont need souless monsters any more
I missed the part where mimic is copying Roxy, that would certainly help the theory that it's actually the mimic.
It's really hard to hear, but if you listen closely you can hear the second, crunchy Mimic voice. Alas, Cassie and Gregory are chatting over it. XD
I love Cassie's Personality sm she's so sweet 😭
Great video! I too hope they do Cassie justice, and your ideas of her potential are really intriguing!
Damn. You really hit us with the: “Someone can be nice and still have their resolve break. And who’s to say stepping up isn’t a nice thing to do?”
Omg if Cassie becomes a (anti…?) hero/vigilante, you are right when you say this is a huge new spin on this series.
…
Anyway, Cassie’s foil here is that she is in a terrifying, dark, decrepit place where she sympathizes heavily with the animatronics.
I think that it's the daycare charge station (where Vanny is seen for the first time) that Freddy mentions something about his friends helping and Gregory shutting that down.
just love yours vanny!Cassie theory! would be interesting if Cassie, thanks to her knowledge, will even be able to restore and fix the animatronics
