Correction: I mistakenly said Ruined Roxy got trapped under a go-kart. It was actually a forklift. Technically she did get run over by a go-kart, but not then. XD
6:14 Not true, While not directly stated she does have a bond with Monty or that's atleast hinted at... In ruin the only posters that aren't torn up are of Roxy and Monty, there are no pictures of Freddy and all of Chicas are ripped apart with Roxys claw marks. (i even put that up in my community tab.) When Monty came to the band the gondella ride story shows roxy as bored or sour about her place in the band but when monty showed up she was drawn as happier. While i know thats not as much of evidence as the posters because its a cover up story, Roxy and Monty are shown everywhere in the marketing TOGETHER while Chica and Freddy are shown in marketing together and we know Freddy and Chica are close so Monty and Roxy should be too. Heck Roxy probably knows Monty killed bonnie because her precious Xray eyes lets her see through walls. But she doesn't care because it gave her a boost in popularity, She didn't kill bonnie but she doesnt miss him thats why she and monty dont have bowling balls in their green rooms. AT THE BARE MINIMIM roxy and monty are on good terms or atleast better terms then their relationships with the other animatronics. The most likely is that their best friends, At the maximim...their in love. like Freddy and Bonnie....
Perhaps Roxy is so insecure because she has to fill in the shoes of the fan favorite, Foxy. Its also heavily implied that Foxy never existed in the Pizza plex but was planned to, but the plex collapsed before his log flume was finished.
Theirs aslo the theory that roxy used to be foxy, and that they are more insecure because they are more aware of their situation because (at least partly) to that
I also think she received a lot of backlash like Monty over the fact that they replaced the originals. That's why both of them have anger issues and are egotistical. Low key I also think that they usually tag team and bond a bit. Like how they are usually close when looking for Gregory.
There's probably something to be said about the irony of the last thing Roxy ever heard being her own voice saying she's awesome, said by something she couldn't beat. Considering how often she'd try to talk herself up, it's kind of interesting...and horrifying.
It's definitley sad, but I also find it somewhat... comforting? Like after her whole "life" of trying to prove how cool she is, she gets told in her final moments that she is awesome, always has been. It's sweet, even if the Mimic didn't intend for it to be.
I feel so bad for Roxy. She had no self esteem already, then the worst things imaginable happen to her, it honestly breaks my heart. As a guy with self esteem and depression issues I can't help but see a bit of myself in her. I just want to give Roxy a hug and tell her she's the best.
As someone who has suffered with self esteem issues as well, I can agree. It’s such a sad situation for her. I’m really hoping that she makes a return in a future title, fixed and recommissioned.
HW2 also more clearly shows that Roxanne's pep talk at the start of SB isn't just her talking herself up, but also calming herself down. Vanessa told Freddy his system crash ruined the show (and a note would have told him a child's birthday too, probably would have broken down again if he'd read that), but Roxy's dialogue implies it went perfectly. Or more specifically, HER part/performance went perfectly. She didn't mess up. Everything is going to be okay. She was probably doing her best to not to break down into fit like Monty was next door, to not break character when spotting Gregory eavesdropping. All these bots need therapy. For me, the most lucid she sounds in SB when in hunter killer mode (Glitchtrap influence levels unclear) is after being shattered when she asks "Why are you hiding from me?" Could be interpreted as her asking why he's hiding when she's supposed to find and help him as a lost child, or and thanks to HW2, her indirectly asking how bad her damage is. Beauty salon hard mode has her possibly referencing this when she says "I'm not a monster." Going into "stay over there" territory and probably not worded best, but I wonder if her Eye upgrades caused her more distress than before she got them with her self image issues, as since she could see through walls and was noted to be talking at other bots through them, if she had trouble realizing who could and couldn't actually see her or interact with. She couldn't vent or break character privately until closing. "Everyone was watching you. Your fans are watching you right now... I know." Also the Image of Grimic reaching for Cassie screenshot you used has him saying "Yo."
To follow you with how bad her eyes may have impacted her already existing issues, I’ll just say Freddy had a identity crisis upon seeing the endos. He started asking if he was the « real » Freddy and all. Now, please remember Roxy can see through walls. So it means every single time she had to go to parts and service for maintenance, she could see the walking memento mori that are the endos. « Remember that you are replacable. Remember that they have a dozen like you. Remember that if you’re not good enough, you can be scrapped and another can take your place, so that **nobody will miss you** ». I’m pretty sure in Ruin, you can hear her saying to herself « You aren’t trying hard enough… » and I could totally see it being a rehearsal of this traumatic experience.
Grimic saying "Yo" might have been a result of Spanish subtitles, since "yo" means "I" in Spanish. "Yo soy Gregory." That, or Mimic is one seriously laid back killing machine. Jokes aside, good analysis.
That would mean Chica was somehow the one who handled the situation the best despite being the most affected since she's the one who ran to Freddy's side.
I totally agree. I think she was the 3rd most in depth animatronic next to roxy and Freddy considering how well she was able to be characterized in help wanted 2. But I think from a story and game standpoint as of now, I’m not sure if we’ll get much more of her, character wise, but I am definitely happy that we got more in help wanted 2
Theres a lot of theory crafting with comparing roxy and mangle as well, they kinda fill each other too well, and given that 87 Jeremy is coming back, its likely that this is a least partly planned for
I agree, they are quite similar in that aspect. Even if, I feel like the « positive vs negative » things Mangle says is closer to a Dissociative Identity Disorder than a « make-believe inner voice ». I don’t know if that makes sense. Since those lines have 3 differents (yes 3, not 2 for the 2 heads but 3) voice effects, I think it was supposed to be different personas. But it’s true that the « high-pitched » persona is also saying stuff like « I don’t regret the events making me the Fox I am today » or « Don’t tell anyone but they are all jealous about how pretty I am » which is a high level of delusion. Yet, that same voice is lucid enough to state « Why staying in one piece feels like a full time job ? » or « Why was I made only to fall apart like this ? » So yeah, I totally see where you are coming from. And somehow, Mangle being my favorite of Clickteam Era and Roxy being my favorite of Steelwool Era makes way more sense XD
@@ultimate-phenix Mangle is just made of two animatronics ( that's why they have a normal head and an endo head that originally wasn't supposed to be here ). They don't have any personality disorders... They're a programmed robot. lol
@@redpanda6497 That's what I thought originally too but some lines like "So many friends... So little time... So many pieces of friends..." or "I am now so many pieces of people, all making me the fox I am today" seems to imply there is way more than only two bots in Mangle. Also, you can hear three different voice effects in FNAF : AR : A "high-pitch" voice (used 90% of the time), a "low-pitch" voice (secondly more used voice) and a "strange unstructured" voice (the most rarely used voice). Examples : "Hello there stranger (high-pitch), Hello there victim (low-pitch)" "We can hear you (high-pitch), we can smell you (strange unstructured)". But yeah, I may have used the concept of "DID" unnecessarly. I just wanted to say that Mangle's lines seems to be litterally different people talking while Roxy's is trying to deal with her insecurities by talking to herself, not quite the same dynamic.
I see Safe Mode as a way of seeing the real version of Roxy, one not affected by the virus. This is Roxy before the Mimic/glitchtrap happened and screwed everything up. And great job with the video, it was very interesting. I love Roxy as a character, she's my favourite and I appreciate having such a deep dive into it all.
As for the end of the Mimic vs Roxy fight? I don't think that was just Mimic speaking, nor was it saying "I am awesome" I think it's the real Roxy saying "I" and then Mimic saying "Cassie" in a noticeably distorted and robotic way.
Roxy is probably the clearest example of an animatronic being a real character with a complexe personality. While SB was very flawed and Steelwhool are still improving, their decision to make the animatronics actual characters and not some possessed robots with very few to no personalities (even when counting UCN) is one of their best yet in my opinion. I truly think she has not only won the hearts of many fans but also become one of the best characters in the franchise. I hope we can see a bit more of her after Ruin because I feel like there is still room for her to grow. Same for Chica btw (if she's not "dead" of course).
I like how fnaf is kinda going thru “eras” of itself. The steel wool ear is more focused on the AI and technology of fnaf and I really like that. And I don’t love the concept of confused souls and possessed robots coming to hunt you in this poorly cared for restaurant, and the eerie feeling of the first few games, I love the AI part of it and having sentience on the animatronics. This is one of the reasons why I love sister location so much. I also would’ve loved to see the animatronics portray their thoughts and feelings on being possessed and/or mistreated. Like if the animatronics had some sentience already and then they become haunted by another consciousness. I really like that idea
The series kinda lost it's scariness at Security Breach because the animatronics are so alive. Sure, they're something you should be scared of, they're dangerous, but they're not as scary as Springtrap or any of the animatronics in the earlier games. FNAF used to have atmosphere, but now the only scary thing about it is the anticipation of a jumpscare. That's kind of a bad thing since FNAF is supposed to be a horror game.
35:15 "Have you booked your party? I'm sure your friends will show up this time" "I need to clean up before we open in the morning. Oh, this place will be flooded with kids!!" All fluffy and all with the sad music in the background. And then Freddy's- *"A fountain is a decorative reservoir used for discharging wat-"*
First it was a go-kart, then it was a forklift…The next time we see Roxanne, she’s going to get crushed under a road roller like some kind of Jojo reference
Hot take: Glamrocks are the best thing that has happened to FNAF. Having to survive nights against murderous robots without ability to defend yourself/strike back, was cool. But evolution from this to being able to strike back and not wanting to do that - even cooler. A good irony. One can only hope that Steel Wool wont waste Roxy's potential, as they did before with Vanny.
So, that "100% of fatal accidents involve human beings" sign made me wonder... does that imply Bonnie's fatal accident involves a human being too? Or is he still alive?
Or the "fatal" part only concerns humans. After all, why would they think you could "kill" an animatronic? Not like Fazbear Entertainment would care, since their animatronics can't sue them anyways; They're just property after all.
It means they don't consider an AI to be a person, so that's not a fatal accident, just an expensive equipment failure. Or maybe saying 'heads will roll' for such an incident is more literal, either way.
0:33 Not only can they think and feel, They can dance, they can sing! They’re equipped with a built-in helium tank for inflating balloons right at their fingertips. They can take song requests. They can even dispense ice-cream.
I never knew about how detailed the scuffle between Roxy and mimic was. It makes me like Roxy even more and have a little more attachment to the mimic, seeing/hearing the physical mimic doing stuff in the actual game is pretty cool, and it mimicking Roxy in her last moment gives me real meet the spy vibes
Roxanne wolf is by far my favorite character. I found her to be so sympathetic especially after she gets shattered. I love her design. I really hope she survived her fight with the mimic.
To be fair, about Roxie being more concerned about her appearance than the fact that her eyes are missing; for the animatronics, their eyes are, demonstrably, easy to replace; The fact that they're missing is an issue so simple a child could fix it, and there's likely plenty of spares in Parts and Services. However, damage to their shell or especially their endoskeleton might be harder to deal with; that's something that might require the fabrication of new parts (which could take weeks) or, in extreme cases, might result in them just being replaced altogether. Although, if we do go with your interpretation, it IS important to note that when Roxie catches up to Cassie, what she says is "Give me back my eyes".
i just realized, roxy ends up in safe mode, powers down, and then manages to come back and save you when your in danger, sound familiar? freddy dose the same thing, an animatronic in safe mode having a "second wind" and coming to save you, and now the daycare attendent is in safe mode, so maybe JUST MAYBE sun moon and eclipse still have a chance to come back as important characters, who knows? eclipce is pretty naive (enough to maybe be tricked), maybe vanny will come back for her craine game claw?
I kind of wonder if Roxy’s “Nobody will miss you.” line is her venting about/taking a jab a her relationship with Foxy? Because you’d expect her to be somewhat aware that she replaced him, right? It’s heavily implied she did anyway. And I think it’s worth noting that when Bonnie vanishes, there are kids actively asking where he went and wanting him back. To my memory Foxy receives no such attention. (Now, a go-kart track honestly fits the Pizzaplex aesthetic better than a log flume and I’m sure customers didn’t really feel like getting wet not to mention I don’t want to know what’s in the water in a Fazbear water-based ride but I digress.) And you could argue that Roxy’s personality would make it so she wouldn’t care, she wants to be the one in the spotlight anyway. But she’s also aware of how fleeting that attention could be. She’s arguably seen it first hand. And that’s why she chooses that specific phrasing for a taunt, lashing out with her own insecurities yet again. Because what happens if she stops being the best one day? Would anyone remember or miss her then?
I wonder if Fazbear might have intentionally programmed Roxy’s self esteem and insecurities as a way to have her maintain the “perfect” image… and if so that’s freaking dark but on brand with the company. The glamrocks never asked to be programmed with their issues and violence, Vanessa didn’t ask to be possessed by Glitchtrap and held hostage in her own body, and Gregory definitely didn’t ask to be hunted down in a neon lit mall after hours by robot furries… ultimately it all leads back to the cut corners and negligence of Fazbear Entertainment allowing monsters like old Willy to perpetuate a cycle of violence that creates victims victimizing victims since 1983. Also I really hope Cassy is ok down there and not dead. Hope we hope we get to see her and Roxy again.
My theory is that Roxy is still alive and survive, but not in her best condition due to battle against the Mimic, although I should not ignore the fact that Mimic singlehandedly pushed the forklift with one hand which is insane. My point of reason why Roxy survived against Mimic is maybe because he may have knocked her down thinking that she was dead and thrown her down to the nearest vent (there's an actual vent just near to Mimics position during reveal cutscene, but it requires for you to go out of bonds for this or just look it up on the you tube videos) or she might've drag herself to nearest vent after the battle and finds Cassie; However the vent is piled with trash which will not make sense of how she was able to go; however, it is possible for her that she still have the strength to dug up the piles of trash, then went down to vent, but that's just my theory on the whole situation. I really hope that we will have a confirmation of what happened to Roxy someday. It's too early for her to die like this.
Really hope there's a continuation to Ruin planned out. There's so much room for story and character building and it'd be a massive waste to leave it at "yeah, they're not leaving that pit."
2 things I wanna say: 1. According to the books, while Roxy does enjoy poking at people's insecurities because of her own self-esteem issues, the virus made her meaner than normal. I can't say I blame you for overlooking this, since it's only mentioned in the books (specifically "The Storyteller"). 2. Not sure if you're aware, but the STAFF Bots are not sentient like the Glamrocks. Destroying them isn't a big deal, so saying it came back to "bite" her is a bit much. Also, question: do you think HW2's Shattered Roxy minigame implies she's inherently evil/murderous, even without Glitchtrap? She jumpscares you for not looking at her, but like you said, she has incite and tells you how to prevent it. Perhaps it's just an exceptionally violent outburst as a result of anxiety/stress from being shattered? Does the jumpscare animation look like ann unconscious outburst? Then again, I've seen one video where she jumpscares the player for not looking at her without giving them time to calm her, though she still played the "arm-raising" animation.
Fnaf again leaving some pretty important info in the books, a short story as well lol Also I thought staff bots were sentient, or at least some of them were. I thought that one ending in HW2 where you get the perspective of that one staff bot that gave Cassie the mask implied that.
I meant bite as in her habit to throw herself in front of go karts without thinking of the consequences was going to bite her. XD And I definitely think it could be an uncontrolled outburst. Between being damaged and partially confused, and loaded with programming, Roxy could lash out without her own control. And being that she's stronger, she could unintentionally hurt them. Like, with the strength of a robot, you could probably break someone's arm just trying to grab them, you know? Doesn't mean she doesn't have a temper, but I think it's a complicated situation.
I don't think Roxy is evil by her nature without Glitchtrap, I think she actually is still hacked in HW2 because Glitchtrap appears on her screen in her minigame
I did NOT hear the audio of Roxanne vs Mimic... and now I'm terrified. I love Roxanne Wolf. She is my favorite character. I am praying that she is ok after the battle with the mimic. She deserves a chance to try and find light in a dark state of mind. And I hope it's through Cassie. Love the Cassie and Roxy content. Maybe having someone she can relate to and protect will help Roxy. Im just praying she survived first.... and that it was HER who found Cassie at the end of the credits. Amazing video.❤
So in Roxy's mind, all of her mean talk toward Gregory is basically aimed at herself because she doubts herself- "Sneak away, you little coward!" = "Am I a coward? No, I forbid being afraid!" "Nobody will mis you!" = "Will Nobody miss me??" "I can hear you!" = "Did someone just say they don't like me? ☹️💔 💜❤💚❤💜
Interesting enough seems like safe mode fixes the animatronics and makes them (at least for the daycare attendant) act like in the roles they were intended, Now i can imagine glamrock chica in safe mode being her just taking about eating food and thats it and monty in safe mode being chill.
I'm betting Safe Mode reboots them into a clean state of mind. Like loading up a game without any of the mods activated, so it's just pure vanilla without anything changing or enhancing the experience. One way this affects them at least is that the glitchtrap virus can't affect them as we saw with Freddy. I might remember wrong, but didn't he also mention he wasn't connected to the pizzaplex while in safe mode too? or was it the other way and he's still connected to it? (Though i might even have recalled nothing here.)
Gregory says that vanessa cut freddy off the network (basically disconnecting him out of the network) but it isn't stated how so yeah probably safe mode also disconnects them from the network.
Safe Mode Chica may be all about nutrition and might even encourage others to eat before she indulges Safe Mode Monty may give golf or just general life advice, since Normal Mode Monty seems the most ambitious (even if it's a bit violent)
If you make another unpopular opinion video, here's mine: Security Breach's was not that bad. If you would've added a few lines about disappearances, had Vanny replace Moon in the dark, and other tweaks, the story would've been largely fixed, or at least better. To me, SB's story was shot in the foot by not having the small details that added things together into a coherent experience. I'm not a great writer, but I honestly think SB could have been saved with small things.
with all the cut files we know a much better game had been there the entire time, but like a bird failing to notice the closed glass window what we got was the stunned half-dead bird of a release version
i honestly had no feelings one way or the other about roxy right until her deactivation scene in ruin and now i have so much sympathy for her hearing that clean sound file from the fight was painful! i really hope we do get to see more of her and cassie together in the future
lol in my head, Cassie and Roxy escaped the Pizzaplex together and Roxy’s CPU was, like, transferred into a robotic toy dog or something so that Cassie can take her everywhere and they can live happily ever after. I do NOT accept a “Cassie and Roxy are dead” ending lol 🙇♀️
I still can't get through everything that happened with Roxanne without having a whirlwind of emotions. I never expected something like this from FNAF, just chuckles and scares. This was a great video, putting everything into one tidy package, thank you for making this.
Woah… This is the first time I’ve heard the isolated Battle between Roxy and the Mimic before. You can hear in the scraping and grinding of metal that Roxy’s putting all her energy into this, even starting to glitch out after taking damage, and that gasp before being crushed really hit hard. Meanwhile, the Mimic, a much larger and stronger endoskeleton, is toying with her, using her own voiceclips to mock her as it tears her apart. Just… wow.
I said it before and i'll say it again Roxy will always be my favorite because of her character. I can relate to all of the negative feelings that come with being an entertainer or just trying to be the best you could possibly be. I've been around that block alot to know and understand that as well as the imposter syndrome that can come from it. It made her shattering and final moments in the DLC painful for me. Anyone who has or can have self image problems would be mortified if something like that happened. and the ruined Salon Segments were painful too none of the work satisfies in repairing her shattered face or her shattered self image. It's very Phantom of the Opera esque when she wants the mask. I want to give her a hug after hearing that. That pain is what makes her so relatable and if she was a real entertainer she'd probably be ecstatic inside to have so many fans cheering for her
I misheard the opening statement as “In the world of Five Nights at Freddy’s, the Mega Pizzaplex is the most malicious project we are aware of” and thought “ah yes, a monument to corporate greed, truly the pinnacle of maliciousness.”
I didn’t make the connection at first but… Would it be possible that Roxy’s holographic appearance in Ruin was the mask’s doing ? I mean, Roxy was frustrated by her shattering and asked for the mask as an emergency solution but the mask itself in nowhere near beautiful or helpful (since it doesn’t have eyes either), so **why** would she want the mask ? Maybe the mask is a connection to the AR system (since it has a faz-wrench plug, commonly used by technician who has access to the AR system), giving her back her original appearance in the AR world. She’ll still be ugly IRL but, at least, she would look beautiful to those in AR. Just a thought.
37:00 Yeah I had some theories about that mask because it seemed like it was the final security node to deactivate before you can go down to the basement and release the mimic but I feel like in reality the mimic knew that if they shut down Roxy she won't get in the way but I have a feeling it did not work as intended and it put her in a system reset
Yeah kinda, but I can kinda see it if you interpret the evil virus as something that brings out the worst in you. Like I doubt that chica is even half as hungry as she is at the night you see her. And now that she’s mostly freed she’s her normal self.
The most common theory (and probably correct one) is that meeting Cassie again messed with her head and caused her to snap out of of Vanny's control and reset her to some default personality. Then being rebooted made her her normal, pre-Storyteller glitch self.
I do hope we see the return of this Roxy, and it can't just be another Animatronic under the same Brand Name, it has to be this. Like with Glamrock Freddy, Steelwool did a fantastic job in fleshing out Roxy as a character that you can relate to, and with Ruin and hopefully what implies in the end that she and Cassie might be able to escape. Assuming we see Glamrock Freddy return in a new (redesigned possibly) shell casing, maybe so the same with Roxy too.
Honestly fingers crossed, that Roxy makes it into the next FNAF game or DLC, whichever comes first. She is my favorite hostile animatronic throughout Security Breach and Ruin and second favorite out of all the animatronics overall, only being surpassed by Freddy. I'm just such a sucker for those Tragic villain, turned hero type of story arc's. In my eye most of the Glamrock's weren't truly willingly villainous " maybe aside for Monty with the whole Glamrock Bonnie subplot" but were merely expendable pawns in the greater scheme of things.
Imagine if Eclipse came down to help Cassie. Like Roxy sending out some sort of signal for help. I think that would be cute. They're the last somewhat functional animatronic there. Chica could maybe help too, but she's missing an arm :(
That is just wishful thinking but damn, I am so down for a « Cassie - Roxy - Eclipse » team in a future game. Especially since it had been said Cassie had passed a lot of time in the Daycare as a toddler (probably while her dad, who seems to be a single dad, worked), meaning the Daycare Attendant is also a relatively important robot in her life. Chica could be a nice addition since she had more characterization in HW2 (and I’d love to see her go out of her addiction) but she doesn’t seem… Sane anymore, infortunatly.
Not gonna lie, this video made me very emotional. In my opinion, I think Roxy had the biggest character development of all three games: Security Breach, Help Wanted 2, and Ruin. Sure Freddy was also a big part in Security Breach, but since most of it was cut (like Freddy being possessed by the virus at some point), his character still felt a little bit dry. I think Roxy has the most emotional story. She’s become one of my favorite animatronics in the Security Breach era, next to Montgomery Gator. Like you explained all of this really well. The images, the voice lines, and the sound effects (including the one of Roxy and the Mimic’s fight which kinda traumatized me a bit imo) honestly really affected me. Like her character is so depressing the more you think about it. And Cassie was the only individual (and human) Roxy was ever close to. She didn’t have anybody else but herself. So if Cassie at the end of Ruin is really dead and Roxy is alive, or if it’s reversed, either way I think they both would be a horrible ending.
Cassie is likely alive, but I wouldn't be shocked if they dropped her from the plot and replaced her with another new protagonist. Probably another kid. We'll see where it goes.
7:50 Correction. We have many notes stating that Roxy CAN drive the gokarts and either doesn't care or can't see the staff bots on the track and frequently demolishes them. She also initially had a "boss fight" where you would have to actually race her on the track with a cut line of her outright saying "On your marks... Get set... GO!" in a very angry voice. This would presume that you would beat her and, once you do, she abandons her kart and tries to jump Gregory, at which point the encounter plays out like the final game.
I don’t know if it’s out right stated but I think it’s implied that Roxy can’t win at the race way, she’s hard coded to let the guests win. Which must be pretty hard for her. Her whole identity is being a winner, being number 1 but when it comes to the one time she actually gets to do that (racing) it’s literally impossible got her to win.
You know, I was a bit surprised that your take on the last Roxy line was "I am awesome." Because I heard it as a despair filled "I... Lost..." Which not only ties into her obsession with winning, but the inversion caused by Safe Mode. Tragically, while her selfishness was turned into altruism - that she gained the freedom to act with humility in front of someone - she was finally able to admit when she lost. And lose she did.
I think the reason why SB sucked was clearly bc there was no Pluto parallel character. Think about it Freddy: Mickey Chica: Minnie Monty: Donald Roxy: Daisy Daycare Attendant (what a bland name tho): Goofy But no Pluto :(. Or maybe Dj’s Pluto? Idk
@@Mathivich istg I want someone to make a funny yt series about the in universe Glamrock characters. Like I think they’d be more perfect for a s1-3 SpongeBob type show rather than horrifying mechanical monstrosities.
@@itstheblandman8734 ye the names sun, moon, and daycare attendant are all so bland and uninteresting. Why don’t they have acc names like Freddy and Bonnie
@@waggieentertainment9387 eh I think sun and moon are cool names for that sorta opposites thing they have going on with each other, though yeah daycare attendant is a lame name. (Also I just commented that cause my names “Itstheblandman” lol)
at 36:49 when you say "regardless if she's in safe mode or not" I have a feeling that she might not be fully in safe mode anymore when she does this, mainly going off of your point earlier when you talk about how her speech mannerisms change. It feels like when she tackles the Mimic back and tells Cassie to run, her voice gets those more human-like qualities back instead of sounding fully robotic again. That may just be me though. Great video by the way! Roxy is probably my favorite character in FNAF at this point! She has a ton of potential for her character and I personally think that she should be a major player in upcoming games - if Steel Wool doesn't have that happening in the next game I'd say they dropped the ball lol
I'd like a story where Gregory & GL Freddy try and deal with the escaped Mimic and at the same time where Kassie & Roxy try and fix Kassie's mistake also by tracking down the Mimic. All the while the Mimic throws off both teams by pretending to be the other. It could end with a 4 on 1 fight. Gregory causing distractions, Freddy throwing fists, Kassie hacking environment stuff with her Fazwrench, and Roxy constantly getting between the kids and any danger. Probably works best as a Tales of the Pizzaplex style thing. Maybe something overarching like the Stitchwraith.
I feel especially bad about Roxy in Ruin, because the first thing you hear from her is her berating herself. Except, it's not about her appearance this time, it's about _why_ she's the way she is. "You're not trying hard enough." She was already upset about her appearance being ruined, but then it always had this feeling of 'you did this to me.' Here, she's placing the blame squarely on herself and hating herself for it.
I noticed something interesting, Roxy's line in HW2 "Do you think all this just happens" is the exact same line the voice actress of Roxy said before in the same tone and delivery in a stream with DAgames when he was playing security breach, she was even wearing Roxy inspired makeup.
4:40 Heh, I recall Superhorrorbro showing a zoom in at the audio, and it's just her idle sniff animation. In fact, while Freddy's jaw moves in sync with his dialogue, Roxy's first self compliments was pretty much the only other jaw movement in base SB (and most past FNAF games with dialog points now that I think about it - just offscreen usually) . In terms of cutscenes Monty's jaw moves a bit when he roars but we zoom in on his eyes in "rock and roll", Roxy just grunts, and Chica's head is turned away at "I smell pizza". Roxy gets a step up in Ruin, while Monty and Chica not as much. I imagine the new "I smell pizza" and some new snarls is how they have voice credits when Freddy doesn't. With the way Vanessa just blanky looks back and forth on the lost and found monitors, I almost believe that was them not animating her mouth. Though Faz friends shows it does move in the first aid scene of her reprimanding Freddy. Back to the green room, during that bit of Vanessa about (and it has been fixed for her chasing you), i would think Roxy would be summoned as she just went out (follow her to the door quick enough, she just blips out). So I was quite shocked when I first Chica spawn in Rockstar Row. Monty can too, and I remember he came in the downstairs doors. Feels sensical as, if you trigger the mop bot down there, you can trigger Shattered Monty (though I did see Roxy there a couple times). Fun trick: that partially opening shutter to the photo pass? If you try escape a Roxy (or whoever) chase through there, she'll take a long way around: across the Row to rehearsal room, then down the curved hallway of Staff bots, up to the shutter beside the Freddy cutout. Head back under to resume the process. X) And yeah, despite the captions i haven't heard Freddy say "I'm going". :/ With your mentioning of this being the Glamrocks' only interaction we've seen, I almost wonder about a video idea of 'Fnaf character dynamic potentials'; might you have any headcanons?
Well, I definitely think there's enough evidence between Freddy and Chica being close. I have a crack theory going that Bonnie was actually like a major jerk. XD I don't know why, but I do. But that aside- a video on potential character dynamics could be really neat!
Is there going to be a Monty video or was everything answered in the “is Monty evil or misunderstood” video. I would be ok without one because we have basically no character development for him or Chica
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 I certainly hope there’s a DLC, I think Carnie was just to get Cameron Miller on the project so they could have him on standby for a dlc, you never know. Thanks for letting me know. Also, great vid, lots of stuff I didn’t know about Roxy I now know.
@@CoolDuelGamingme too he was my favorite when I first started off discovering Security Breach. I’m tired of Steel Wool making him seem like some villain with the theory of him possibly killing Bonnie and how dangerous and ruthless his state was in in Ruin.
A truly heartbreaking story. I think part of her insecurity might also come from a fear of being scrapped and replaced with another endoskeleton. Vanessa hinted at this with Freddy in parts and services. Perhaps she's afraid that if she doesn't play the role of her character perfectly, then Fazbear Entertainment will scrap and replace her.
As someone with crippling insecurities about her appearance, who frequently talks herself up and tears herself apart in the mirror, prone to fits of anger and despairing self-loathing, Roxy speaks to me. I notice a lot of FNAF fans critique her personality and look at her flaws from an... outside-looking-in, can't relate point of view. Sort of looking at her academically, shrugging and moving on. Nothing wrong with that of course. But I've never been able to look at her with total objectivity; her anguish is my everyday reality. She's beautiful to me. She's my favorite. She's the best.
I got Freddy vibes off the Chpt 9 scene, too. I also mention that Freddy didn't use contractions, though I'm not sure it'd apply to Roxy there. There's also the exuberant Freddy lines in the elevator "hey superstars, *it's* me, Freddy" and the Fazerblast one he also questioned how annoying he is. I often thought that calmer state was maybe Michael possessing him, but this safe mode thing is making sense...
If safe mode makes the animatronics more friendly, does that mean that Glamrock Freddy isn't actually everyone's favorite himbo? Could there be a more complicated version of him? In HW2, he does have that slightly petulant line about the Jimmy/Timmy birthday cake, although he is still fairly naive and trusting. Also, are the Glamrocks supposed to be haunted? Or is it just the mimic programming, random remnant injections or some other mystery mechanic that I haven't been paying enough attention to this franchise to understand.
So, the thing about the Glamrock haunting is that there IS a line that implies Freddy is haunted in the Burntrap ending of SB, but like Gregory randomly mentioning missing children, that whole plot element was sort of carved out. So as of now, we don't know if they're possessed or just AI, or if either will be confirmed in the future. It's... a perplexing one, admittedly.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 Personally, I like the idea of the Glamrocks just being really advanced AI, rather than another set of missing children. I know dead kids is what FNAF is known for, but this is the same franchise that introduced the possibility of sentient AI in the first place.
35:50 Well. I theorise Roxy has a security mode which activates FOR Cassie. Specially considering how her father worked there. And Roxy was HER favourite. There's some dynamic with Safe Modes and the favourite kid of each animatronic.
Roxy definitely has the most characterisation out of the core four. I feel like she'd be the only one besides Freddy who would actually be able to make a comeback after this. Monty and Chica are too far gone, so unless we actually see where Gregory and Freddy ended up, Roxy would be the only one who could gain some more character development. I wish I had seen more from Chica or Monty, don't get me wrong, but Roxy has a lot of potential for further exploration. I want to see more of her psyche.
28:34 I’m honestly surprised there wasn’t some sort of achievement in the game called “I can put you back together” or something cheesy like that where you give ruined Roxy all of her necessary parts
I thought of that too! Roxy's about/mouth is on the roundabout so I thought we could've put it on and then by the end of the round, the next one would change and we could put something like her eyes on her.
If that Vanessa bit is what you referenced in the community post, I'll admit I was kind of already aware of it. I also wonder if Roxy being able to see Vanny could potentially mean something though only bit we see with it possible is the sound booth bit. Speaking of eyes, Freddy's are blue yet have a white light over them (unsure if it's just a flashlight or some Circus Baby relapse), the ocular upgrade doesn't seem to change going by the eyeballs shadows and no lashes, though some angles in the cylinder, his eyes apparently do seem purple (despite Roxy's are yellow), and they're only acknowledged in the fire escape comic, despite Freddy should technically have them in all the endings. Not to mention the eyes are 2nd - wouldn't Monty's hands contradict Freddy's lighter finger?
Actually, I was looking at out-of-bounds videos and one of them mentioned it. I don't remember what channel it was, but I'll try to find it! The lighter finger thing miiiight be a leftover mistake from the fact that Monty's upgrades were initially his legs. So, the hand thing was probably not a problem when they drew up the original outlines for the endings, and then accidentally slipped by without getting noticed.
Help wanted 2 revealing that Roxy’s wearing a mask in ruin makes the idea of her surviving more plausible. it’s a bit hard to notice cause of the angle and mascot suit obscuring its real hand, but at 37:41 you can see how the mimics hand is almost directly over the mask. Picture this, that loud thud heard is Roxy being flung back after the mask is torn off. Because the mimic was in a rush to reach Cassie it failed to noticed that it only tore off the mask not her head.
i think Roxy cares for those who she realizes truly care about her, flaws and all. She's like a fruit in the desert. she's tough on the outside, but once you get to the center, she's soft and sweet. it's a self defense mechanism I have a lot of experience with. her abrasiveness and ego is not just to convince herself, but to protect her from being hurt by the words of others. once somebody shows she can truly trust them, and that they accept her flaws in addition to her outward beauty, she becomes a loyal friend who'll go as far as sacrificing herself for you. Roxy really is the best. If she could see how many fnaf fans love her, i feel she might just burst into tears to know how many of us want to be her friends.
I really hope for some sort of continuation where we get to rebuild roxy and the other glamrocks. Honestly I think they dropped the ball in help wanted 2 by not giving us at least one repair sequence.
38:00 I believe she said “i.. lost him” which lines up because she has a voice line in the end credits shouting out for Cassie, i also believe that the mimic isn’t copying her voice and its only her talking but that’s just me.
Correction: I mistakenly said Ruined Roxy got trapped under a go-kart. It was actually a forklift. Technically she did get run over by a go-kart, but not then. XD
Lol
I wonder what'll hit her in the next game.
Ehh close enough lol
Kinda confused how a forklift just... Tripped and fell on Roxy? Unless it was somehow above her.

Not true, While not directly stated she does have a bond with Monty or that's atleast hinted at... In ruin the only posters that aren't torn up are of Roxy and Monty, there are no pictures of Freddy and all of Chicas are ripped apart with Roxys claw marks. (i even put that up in my community tab.)
When Monty came to the band the gondella ride story shows roxy as bored or sour about her place in the band but when monty showed up she was drawn as happier.

I feel so bad for Roxy. She had no self esteem already, then the worst things imaginable happen to her, it honestly breaks my heart. As a guy with self esteem and depression issues I can't help but see a bit of myself in her. I just want to give Roxy a hug and tell her she's the best.
at least some people like you your like me and Roxy we both have self esteem and self positivity or depression of course.
FR
*sigh* …yeah, same here.
I hear you there.
Beauty salon hard mode has her possibly referencing this when she says "I'm not a monster."
Going into "stay over there" territory and probably not worded best, but I wonder if her Eye upgrades caused her more distress than before she got them with her self image issues, as since she could see through walls and was noted to be talking at other bots through them, if she had trouble realizing who could and couldn't actually see her or interact with. She couldn't vent or break character privately until closing. "Everyone was watching you. Your fans are watching you right now... I know."
Also the Image of Grimic reaching for Cassie screenshot you used has him saying "Yo."
@@ultimate-phenix dam… honestly no words… just… god dam.
@@wakkaseta8351 Well Chicas flaw is very different to both Monty’s and Roxy’s so it makes the most sense that she handled it well lol

Listening again to Roxy's voice lines gives me AR's mangle energy. Saying a positive thing, followed by a negative thing and responding to herself.
So yeah, I totally see where you are coming from.
Examples : "Hello there stranger (high-pitch), Hello there victim (low-pitch)"
"We can hear you (high-pitch), we can smell you (strange unstructured)".
But yeah, I may have used the concept of "DID" unnecessarly. I just wanted to say that Mangle's lines seems to be litterally different people talking while Roxy's is trying to deal with her insecurities by talking to herself, not quite the same dynamic.
Wow

Given her... track record...she might get hit by the aftermath of Joseph Joestar's plane attempts

That pun hit almost as hard as the go-kart, well done
I mean, given her name has room to be explained as a music reference (Roxanne by The Police), she is definitely fit to be a JoJo character
Roxy coming to attack Gregory
Gregory: ROADA ROLLA DAAAAA!!!!
pretty sure kellen goff (freddy and moons voice actor) voices a character in the jojo, so this is definitely canon

They're probably still pretending Bonnie just 'disappeared'. XD
Oh it was no "accident"

WAIT THE MIMIC KILLED ROXY AND TOOK HER VOICE???
@@WarFoxThunder most likely didn’t kill her, but beat her at that point, and then mimicked her, as we know he can do that.
Although, if we do go with your interpretation, it IS important to note that when Roxie catches up to Cassie, what she says is "Give me back my eyes".
i just realized, roxy ends up in safe mode, powers down, and then manages to come back and save you when your in danger, sound familiar? freddy dose the same thing, an animatronic in safe mode having a "second wind" and coming to save you, and now the daycare attendent is in safe mode, so maybe JUST MAYBE
sun moon and eclipse still have a chance to come back as important characters, who knows? eclipce is pretty naive (enough to maybe be tricked), maybe vanny will come back for her craine game claw?
I kind of wonder if Roxy’s “Nobody will miss you.” line is her venting about/taking a jab a her relationship with Foxy?
Because you’d expect her to be somewhat aware that she replaced him, right? It’s heavily implied she did anyway. And I think it’s worth noting that when Bonnie vanishes, there are kids actively asking where he went and wanting him back. To my memory Foxy receives no such attention. (Now, a go-kart track honestly fits the Pizzaplex aesthetic better than a log flume and I’m sure customers didn’t really feel like getting wet not to mention I don’t want to know what’s in the water in a Fazbear water-based ride but I digress.)
And you could argue that Roxy’s personality would make it so she wouldn’t care, she wants to be the one in the spotlight anyway.
If only Monty and Chica had a friend like Cassie, perhaps they too could’ve risen above their vices like Roxy did. Even if for only a moment.
I could swear after the elevator feel Cassie can hear Roxy's voice, is that assumed to be the mimic? I thought it was confirmed that she was alive
Really hope there's a continuation to Ruin planned out. There's so much room for story and character building and it'd be a massive waste to leave it at "yeah, they're not leaving that pit."
2 things I wanna say:
Fnaf again leaving some pretty important info in the books, a short story as well lol
Also I thought staff bots were sentient, or at least some of them were. I thought that one ending in HW2 where you get the perspective of that one staff bot that gave Cassie the mask implied that.
@@itstheblandman8734 Most likely the player character (possibly Cassie's dad) had their body/mind/soul placed inside Mask Bot.
I meant bite as in her habit to throw herself in front of go karts without thinking of the consequences was going to bite her. XD
And I definitely think it could be an uncontrolled outburst.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 Thanks for replying and giving a heart. However, IIRC, Shattered Roxy is no longer Glitchtrapped in the minigame.
So in Roxy's mind, all of her mean talk toward Gregory is basically aimed at herself because she doubts herself-
"Sneak away, you little coward!" = "Am I a coward? No, I forbid being afraid!"
"Nobody will mis you!" =
"Will Nobody miss me??"
"I can hear you!" = "Did someone just say they don't like me?
☹️💔
💜❤💚❤💜
“I bet you don’t even have friends” = “My band mates don’t like me”
Interesting enough seems like safe mode fixes the animatronics and makes them (at least for the daycare attendant) act like in the roles they were intended, Now i can imagine glamrock chica in safe mode being her just taking about eating food and thats it and monty in safe mode being chill.
Safe Mode Chica may be all about nutrition and might even encourage others to eat before she indulges
Safe Mode Monty may give golf or just general life advice, since Normal Mode Monty seems the most ambitious (even if it's a bit violent)
If you make another unpopular opinion video, here's mine:
Security Breach's was not that bad.
I actually agree with you
I agree. That would be a cool topic. I also wish they added a lot of the cut stuff with the Ruin update after it released (after *Ruin* released).
Hard agree
I would love to see this as a video
i honestly had no feelings one way or the other about roxy right until her deactivation scene in ruin and now i have so much sympathy for her hearing that clean sound file from the fight was painful! i really hope we do get to see more of her and cassie together in the future
lol in my head, Cassie and Roxy escaped the Pizzaplex together and Roxy’s CPU was, like, transferred into a robotic toy dog or something so that Cassie can take her everywhere and they can live happily ever after. I do NOT accept a “Cassie and Roxy are dead” ending lol 🙇♀️
@TKDPrincess1Gold I think most people share a similar headcanon, I've seen so many 'Cassie and Roxy survive the Pizzaplex' stuff online.
The comparison of her attraction to her personality just made my heart drop.
I still can't get through everything that happened with Roxanne without having a whirlwind of emotions.
I never expected something like this from FNAF, just chuckles and scares.
This was a great video, putting everything into one tidy package, thank you for making this.
I mean she has some good in her because she didn’t attack cassie (and recognised cassie)

Woah…
This is the first time I’ve heard the isolated Battle between Roxy and the Mimic before.
Just… wow.
Roxy was slammed into the walls and finally the floor, not quite torn apart.
FR....
@AGR_678 Not really.
@AGR_678 No really, the audio doesn't sound like Roxy was torn apart.
And I'm aware of how big and strong Mimic is.
@AGR_678 I'm very aware of how strong the mimic is *thanks*
That pain is what makes her so relatable and if she was a real entertainer she'd probably be ecstatic inside to have so many fans cheering for her
"Roxy has special eyes"
My brain immediately: MY BRAND!
I misheard the opening statement as “In the world of Five Nights at Freddy’s, the Mega Pizzaplex is the most malicious project we are aware of” and thought “ah yes, a monument to corporate greed, truly the pinnacle of maliciousness.”
I think the Roxy voice in the audio file says "I, lost to him"
I didn’t make the connection at first but… Would it be possible that Roxy’s holographic appearance in Ruin was the mask’s doing ? I mean, Roxy was frustrated by her shattering and asked for the mask as an emergency solution but the mask itself in nowhere near beautiful or helpful (since it doesn’t have eyes either), so **why** would she want the mask ?
Maybe the mask is a connection to the AR system (since it has a faz-wrench plug, commonly used by technician who has access to the AR system), giving her back her original appearance in the AR world. She’ll still be ugly IRL but, at least, she would look beautiful to those in AR.
Just a thought.
There’s a theory that the mask itself was the node, not Roxy.
37:00
Yeah I had some theories about that mask because it seemed like it was the final security node to deactivate before you can go down to the basement and release the mimic but I feel like in reality the mimic knew that if they shut down Roxy she won't get in the way but I have a feeling it did not work as intended and it put her in a system reset
Weird direction in Ruin in my opinion, going from a self centered wolf to a compassionate one.
"The Wolf of Rockstar Row" 😉 😘🐺
I think it'd be really funny if Roxy's attitude with Cassie was "I hate everyone except you"
@@amethyst_cat9532 that would be hilarious
7:32 "Looks nice, cracks beneath the surface."
Ouch! I never actually thought of that 😢💔
💜❤💚❤💜
I think your theory that Roxy and Eclipse were in safe mode is spot-on. Also, perfect image for Freddy during his fountain quote XD
Cassie is still alive, Roxy is likely too. There wouldn't be another game with Cassie otherwise.
Cassie is likely alive, but I wouldn't be shocked if they dropped her from the plot and replaced her with another new protagonist. Probably another kid. We'll see where it goes.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476I think the idea is for each Glamrock to progressively get a new kid.

I didn't see any notes saying that Roxy could drive go karts, unless you mean scrapped ones. Though I do think you're right about the minigame.
@@notrealnamenotatall2476 it might have been cut then since I haven't actually personally played through SB, so I do apologize on that front.
roxy is genuinely my favorite. she's so cool and pretty, and her character is fascinating. I love her so much.
I love how Freddy sounds like an older brother checking in on his little sister if the “Freddy get out of my room” exchange is initiated
You know, I was a bit surprised that your take on the last Roxy line was "I am awesome." Because I heard it as a despair filled "I... Lost..."
Which not only ties into her obsession with winning, but the inversion caused by Safe Mode. Tragically, while her selfishness was turned into altruism - that she gained the freedom to act with humility in front of someone - she was finally able to admit when she lost.
And lose she did.
I think the reason why SB sucked was clearly bc there was no Pluto parallel character. Think about it
Freddy: Mickey
Chica: Minnie
Monty: Donald
Roxy: Daisy
Daycare Attendant (what a bland name tho): Goofy
But no Pluto :(.
Or maybe Dj’s Pluto? Idk

at 36:49 when you say "regardless if she's in safe mode or not" I have a feeling that she might not be fully in safe mode anymore when she does this, mainly going off of your point earlier when you talk about how her speech mannerisms change.
Roxy at her lowest hurts the most. So broken :(
I feel especially bad about Roxy in Ruin, because the first thing you hear from her is her berating herself.
17:05 My god I am late to this BUT I think what Freddo meant on "dealing with Roxy" just how to deal with her chasing him that's what I always assumed
35:18
Roxy: Emotional speech
Eclipse: Calm delusion
Freddy: FOUNTAIN! (And the eyes xD)
And yeah, despite the captions i haven't heard Freddy say "I'm going".
Roxy did not have the right of way. This is what happens to pedestrians who walk infront of my car when I have the green light.
Is there going to be a Monty video or was everything answered in the “is Monty evil or misunderstood” video. I would be ok without one because we have basically no character development for him or Chica
I'm going to hold off on Monty and see if there is a dlc and if he returns in it. Then I might have something to say!

Michael is long gone, Freddy is just Freddy the sentient animatronic, same with Roxy etc.
Interesting how Roxy Raceway is themed after an American desert, just as Foxy gets some cowboy theming.
I hope she does survive and wasn’t destroyed by the mimic
We all do
Personally I wonder what would happen if Cassie and Roxy reunited with Gregory and Freddy.
*Snout*
I would love to see a cobbled together repaired Roxy, with some miss-matched parts and patches to cover up her damage.
It's been so much fun to watch your channel grow. Congrats on a well deserved 90k!

HOLY SH*T!!!
It didn’t occur to me that could have been The Mimic imitating Roxy at the end....😮😳
i think Roxy cares for those who she realizes truly care about her, flaws and all.
Roxy got into the sinkhole with✨the power of friendship✨

38:00 I believe she said “i.. lost him” which lines up because she has a voice line in the end credits shouting out for Cassie, i also believe that the mimic isn’t copying her voice and its only her talking but that’s just me.
