Recently, ChatGPT became available as a dedicated iPhone app that you can download right from the app store, and so with that in mind, I thought I’d make a video showing you what you need to know about it. In this video, we’re going to quickly discuss getting the app up and running on your phone, and then we’ll look at some clever ways that you can use ChatGPT with your iPhone to achieve amazing results.

I'm really looking forward to ChatGPT being integrated into voice assistants like Alexa, Google and Siri. Now the commands I have to give to f.i. Alexa have to be very clear and don't have any context. A next command has no relation to the previous. With ChatGPT integration that would improve dramaticly is my guess.
One again an excellent and instructive video. Being an OAP I doubt I would use it myself but I do now have an idea what a plug-in is… so thanks 😄🤩👍

I’ve been using chat gpt for a while but hadn’t realized there was an app. I’ve been trying to figure out whether or not getting the premium account would be helpful to me. I believe it will be after watching this and being able to use it on my phone. Thanks..,great job (as usual).

Excellent overview of chatgpt. The issues I have with ChatGPT is that I believe that whatever it does is no longer private and as seen in the news, it makes things up. If I were to use it, I would have to check what it does very carefully.

It's utterly brilliant for tech shit and IT work as well as editing/administrative tasks, but if you're asking an AI that hasn't received new data since 2021 for current events/news information, that's YOUR fault lol

So, I will use the "free" version and hope that it will help with whatever I need a quick answer for. This is a great App and I love what it can do. I can't think of any way at the moment for using it, but if I do, I will let you know. I love watching your videos because you take your time and show how to and I like that! 😊

The VoxScript plugin will chunk in longer videos and do summaries. I have used on videos up to an hour in length and it worked fine.

I am experimenting with code generation in Python and others on my Mac. I would like to try this on my iPhone but direct the output elsewhere: iCloud file, email, message. Might this require an app or am I missing something right in front of me? Thanks for your great videos, they’ve really made a difference here.

I'm curious what the responses if you ask it to summarize the apple contract?
Loved the video. But spent Over 5 mins on trying to get the animal facing in the direction of the hand when the controls don’t seem precise enough to verify who I am. Extremely annoying. Giving up and may try again tomorrow. I would like to try the program after watching your video.

Another tip for future videos, you can tell Chat GPT to limit a spicific number of words for the results. For example "in 50 words, do this". Thanks for your work!

Interesting. Why use an app for this when Bing does the same thing. I inputed the same command you used and it was longer, more detail, and had everyting including cooking instructions
About IPhone making call , Iphone has a very annoying feature for users that is to combine all calls with Zalo, Messenger, Viber ... together to cause confusion every time want to make a call.

I downloaded ChatGPT onto my iPhone 14 Pro Max, then onto my iPad Pro 12.9”. I use the same Apple ID to log into both. On the iPad I ran a chat. Afterward I opened ChatGPT on my iPhone and clicked on the history button, but did not see the chat I’d just done on my iPad listed. My question is, is the chat history device specific and not tied to login credentials, or did I do something wrong somewhere? Also, if this is the case, does that mean that in order to have the paid version, I’d have to purchase it twice? Once on my phone and again on my iPad?

Excellent question. I’ve had it on my iPad but just loaded to my iPhone and used the same login. Would be great to know if there is a trick to getting it to sync.
Excellent video. I’ve watched a few of yours and liked all of them. Found them useful. I have a paid subscription to chat and consider it’s very worthwhile. I use it a lot for writing advertisements reset my iPad at some information from a profit and loss statement and asked for ways to improve the bottom line of the business. The results were really quite good.

It is a pity the app is not optimized for iPad. That’s there, in an iPad, where you can use its potential, since reading and replying an email, or looking for a recipe, is much easier in an iPad screen size.

Yes, it will auto detect your language or you can change the language in the app settings.

I don’t have microphone access
I play with the basic app. They are nuts if they think it is worth $19.99/month.
I asked AI why I did not have access to microphone to ask it questions and I hot this as reply…(which is not what you said)

It should be noted that in order to use the app, you must supply a birthdate and it will not accept VoIP phone number. Wonder if they sell this info. Nothing is free.

It won't send a code if you use VoIP.
@@melgreer Thanks for the tip. My carrier does not allow Wi-Fi calling and to be sure I turned off Wi-Fi on my phone and still no code via SMS

I have seen recent reports warning about the existential danger of AI. Some very intelligent and knowledgeable people have warned us and they say that it’s probably too late to do anything about it. But I’m not sure that it’s a good idea to help in the growth of it.

Is all of this copy and pasting, speaking then asking for. Another version , then proof reading really quicker than just replying quickly to en email? It seems like a solution looking for a problem.
Nobody's forcing you to use it. If it's not for you, don't use it. But for many, a few copy/pastes is much quicker than wrestling with a phone keyboard, perhaps when typing and formulating emails isn't that person's strong point. Your experience won't be the same as everyone's.
@@ProperHonestTech I wasn’t being negative it was a genuine question. I think it can be useful in some situations but as someone who has to send out a lot of emails to my team every day I think they’d realise pretty quickly it was not in my “style” and I don’t think they’d react positively to that.
@@alexpiptom that’s a really interesting point that I hadn’t considered. We all do have a communication style that might make others realize that some thing didn’t sound like us when we reply. I haven’t used ChatGPT a lot yet, but I recently used it to create a communication plan for me to use at work. I had been unable to think how to start, so I used ChatGPT to create a communication plan that I could use as a draft to get me started.
It isn’t all that smart 😩 As others have mentioned after downloading the app and starting the set up it won’t send a code because it says it thinks my iPhone is a landline. Stopped dead in my tracks. Disappointing.
Hmm. I dint have this issue when I downloaded it an hour ago.
Update. They corrected whatever the error was and I’ve been able to complete the installation and it works beautifully!
