    Hello Nianiani,
    ....one interesting thing about light, is our yellow sun, gives us purply shadows. If we had a red sun, we would have green shadows. In light mixing, the shadow is the complimentary opposite.
    Nice little strand of lights.
    Thanks for your calm video, and the great tip when over loading the liner brush, to wipe off excess first.
    Have a great Christmas with you and your family, and friends closeby.

    Excellent video, may I offer a suggestion that would help out the beginners. Alternative color guide. I know early on I didn't own any of the specialty colors, and I'm actually surprised that I have every color in this tutorial except crimson lake. I only acquired the rose of ultramarine and the Moonglow recently. Beautiful video. Thank you!

    • @Nianiani
      @Nianiani  2 года назад +4

      Thanks for the suggestion :) but I don't think that I can include an alternative colour guide as everyone has different brands and it'll be impossible and insufficient with the time frame of each video to name every single one of them.
      I think by showing how I mix the colours, it should be easy enough to match the hues shown to everyone's own set of watercolors. The hues are what's important to understand instead of specific pigments :)
      I also didn't start using professional watercolors until I knew I wanted to get serious with watercolors. But it's very much doable to paint these types of paintings with hobbyist paint :) Hope you understand where I'm coming from

    What a wonderful project. After painting one following your directions, I then challenged myself. I left the white of the paper for the highlights and experimented with complementary colors for the darks. I 'drew' the shape of dark area first with clear water then floated to two colors (example for the yellow light - floated the yellow and a violet) and let them mix themselves for a very exciting effect. Without your clear, concise guidance for the first painting, I'd have been too afraid to let loose and experiment. But your directions allowed me to feel assured in handling the image. Thank you so much

    Stunning Christmas lights, very realistic. Your art is a wonderful reflection of you, such beauty within oneself comes out in your art. Wishing you a wonderful time with family, friends, and pet, over the holiday season, and traditations.
