    How can NBA Officials be THIS bad?!
    The NBA's own “2 minute report” regularly finds pivotal non-calls, major infractions and fouls that the REFs got flat out WRONG!
    …Or maybe they're NOT wrong at all…Maybe the REFs are actually just doing what they’re being TOLD to do…

      I now only watch my home team hoping that its in the NBA script that my team wins. I Remember when the Miami Heat with Shaq, Gary Payton, and Dwyane Wade, beat the much better Dallas Mavericks with Derk. Dwyane Wade shot more free throws than the whole Dallas team. Mark Cuban filed a law suite and then dropped it. Two years later, the much better Miami Team with Bosh, Lebran and Wade lost to an inferior Maverick team. I believe this still goes on. The NBA sucks. College Basketball, still with flaws, but much more real basketball and not sports entertainment. Congress should make them advertise as sports Entertainment. Also, Now that betting is legal, NBA basketball seems more suspect.

    It's not the physicality. There's a rule book. Follow it. Travelling, double dribble, carrying, moving screens, over the back on rebounds, charging, dislodging, offensive players swiping hands of defenders away, the right of defenders to their position, verticality, the "eurostep", "gathering the ball", the rules are written down and coaches coach to the rules, don't let the rules fly out the window, no more special treatment, no more complaining to refs, no more players speaking to refs, the players play, the coaches coach, and the refs call the game fairly. It's insane now.

    From a product standpoint, the biggest problem the NBA has is consistency. It's so hard to know what is going to be called and what not, whether from minute to minute or game to game. Yeah, they are a business and want to maximize their profits. I get that as a driving motivation. On the other hand, I've tuned out of the NBA for months at a time because I just can't stand to watch the refs swallow their whistles as one guy gets murdered, then cough them back up again for inconsequential contact.

    It's called NBA Entertainment for a reason... All major sports are considered Entertainment businesses, meaning, they are Entertainment, like wrestling, because they can influence the final result.
    There's a reason after scoring went through the roof early in the season, the commissioner said he would look I to changing that scoring without mentioning any players. It's simple. The refs called less tik tak fouls and allowed defenders to actually touch players and cut down on freedom of movement....

      Yeah last I was told if you throw something on court during a game as a pedestrian that's black balled for life from ever going there again. Meanwhile nothing was done to Murray except some pocket change fine. That should of suspended him for at least a game. Go watch game 4 of the Cavs v Boston series. Tell me how 24 Boston free throws to Cavs 7 makes sense. Cavs ran into the paint 18 more times! Whole league is rigged and the fact the playoffs of all things are is just pathetic.

    • @lightbeforethetunnel
      @lightbeforethetunnel 24 дня назад

      @Negotiability Murray not being suspended is an issue but the way bigger issue is the way the league decided to call super soft style reffing after Denver went down 0-2.
      Given the matchup, with MN being an all-time defensive team and Denver being good when given open looks .. that decision HEAVILY favors Denver to the point that it's unfair.
      Playoffs have always been reffed more physical. Always. Why would they suddenly change that mid-series when the defending champs are down 0-2 to such a defensive team. It's obvious

    • @lightbeforethetunnel
      @lightbeforethetunnel 24 дня назад

      @Negotiability The thing is, Denver has way more fans than MN. So the league knows they can rig the game for Denver right now and most fans will turn a blind eye to it and even defend what the league is doing.
      That's how the rigging works, they know how human beings are. They know we're biased and defend our fav team no matter what. So they can rig for the most popular teams (resulting in more $) and at the same time there will be more people defending the rigging too.

    The NBA put refs in a difficult position by allowing more and more to increase scoring and flashy highlights. NBA today, especially guards, is more like Globetrotters basketball with all the travel and carry, then like technical FIBA basketball. So there’s no longer a bright line between what is within or outside the rules, and calls have become more and more inconsistent.

  • @lightbeforethetunnel
    @lightbeforethetunnel 25 дней назад +2

    What convinced me the NBA is rigged is Denver VS MN, when Denver went down 0-2, the sudden unprecedented change in ref style on D (combined with no suspension for Murray) handed Denver Game 3 and probably 4, too.
    The league made the mistake of listening to all the new bandwagon fans for Denver who don't understand the playoffs have always been reffed more physical. Always.
    But since bandwagon fans don't want to lose (hence, why they go to the defending champs), they declare it must be because MN is getting away with illegal defense. The refs listen and give them what they want by switching to super soft reffing on D to nullify MN's all-time D.
    And the inconsistency caused MN to come out playing physical D - as expected for playoffs - only to get their entire starting 5 in foul trouble by halftime. This meant MN can't play D and Denver gets open looks all night.
    The league effectively stripped MN of their all-time D and gave Denver, a team that excels on open looks, open looks all night.
    The outcome wasn't even hard to predict. Only 5 mins in, i predicted a blowout win for Denver. For Denver fans, how did I know? It was still close at that time.

    • @Negotiability
      @Negotiability 24 дня назад

      The reason you're seeing some complain is because the call down on the other end is usually favoring the other team and bailing them out. They go up half assed and sometimes don't even get touched and STILL sell the call for the refs. Jumbotron shows the play and yet STILL the player receives his free throws. Those replays should ALWAYS come into factor on the refs call at this point. Point blank. And there should be a checks and balance system where a group or handful of people audit the refs each game. In turn if they decide to miss their auditing the players then get to audit said secondary officials and their jobs can be put in question. Checks and balances. Makes it so no one has the advantage... But of course the league will never do this because scripting is how they make money. If you don't think a bunch of rich people got rat holes to make their bets for them... idk what to tell you. Refs, Silva, players, coaches and even GMs all probably have their guys they go to for betting when they know.

What used to be faul it is no longer faul. If this doesn't get fixed or balanced and phisicality comes to the front of being the most important thing, the teams will opt for big men more than anything and will follow the t wolves roster example. The league will reduce in smaller player and overall skill level will drop. This to me is way more detrimental to basketball. I think basketball should be a game of skill and not who is bigger and stronger.

      MN was not doing anything inconsistent with how playoffs have always been reffed.
      The inconsistency is the fact the league parachuted in to save Denver after they went down 0-2 by switching to super soft ref style mid-series, which set up Wolves... because they came out expecting normal physical playoff reffing and their starting 5 was all in foul trouble by halftime cuz of it.

    It’s not that I don’t think the NBA has a referee problem, it does… but I don’t think your video had very good points and could’ve been better.
    1. You were using quotes that aren’t even incriminating really. Like the “instructing refs” criticism and the former ref saying he was told not to miss a call. How are refs supposed to learn their job with no instruction or coaching? If others missed a call, if I ran the NBA, I would emphasize to my best refs especially for the call not to be missed next time too. A better clip to prove your point would be an inside source or a ref saying that he’s told to make a call that’s not in the rule books or lie about calls or a ref saying he was encouraged or kinda pushed or persuaded in a sneaky way to be unfair to particular players or teams.
    2. The blasphemy about Jordan while kinda insulting him in the process. I didn’t expect Jordan to catch strays in this video and I’m not gonna lie, I hated every moment of it. And then you used Isaiah’s lying, Jordan-hatin’ a** to make your point. The rules were changed mostly to improve the game (and it did!), and to entertain fans, not to help Jordan score specifically. The man didn’t need help from the damn refs and would’ve dominated either way. It’s also silly to imply Jordan wasn’t as great as we think he was when 99% of your audience likely admires the guy for his godly talent and credits him for the best years of the NBA. Even if it was true that the NBA rigged the entire NBA for Jordan (it’s not), business-wise and subscriber-wise, it’s just not smart to tell your audience who are mostly Jordan fans and have high respect for the man, that the NBA had refs rig games all for Jordan.
    3. You talk about rule changes like lowering the score (which was greatly needed BTW) but fail to see that it has impacted all team averages and it was league-wide… which makes it fair. Although refs make horrible calls that are sus AF sometimes, overall, team averages went down and it improved the game. And that’s not unfair in my eyes. What was sneaky behavior however is Adam Silver saying they made NO changes to the rule books or how the NBA refs make calls and that they aren’t attempting to lower the score. THAT part was valid criticism of the NBA ref calls because he’s lying to the teams and the fans. That deserves criticism because he’s being sneaky about rule changes and flat out lying. The rest of this video was kinda weak argument-wise. Hopefully, you see this as constructive criticism for future videos and don’t see it as hate cuz it’s not. I wanted to like this video. I really liked the thumbnail though and I will still watch the next video from you because it’s clear you have a talent for creating.

    Go watch Cleveland vs Boston this playoffs game 3 and 4. That upset game 2 made the league pay the refs to force the series one way. Bostons overhyped ass was dropping in stock the second that game 2 happened. Game 4 - 24 free throws to Boston.. 7 (2 of which were techs) free throws giving to Cleveland... Make it make sense. They made more than 60 drives to the basket... 7 free throws??????? Game 3 I already forgot the free throw disparage but it was the same story and frankly I'm over the NBA. Once this Cleveland series is up I'm done watching the rest of the playoffs. Fuck the finals. Fuck the league.

      I don't believe you. I can agree with your argument but because of that exactly is why I don't think you can just not watch more b-ball. You're too deep into it, too mentally subscribed to it.
      I stopped watching over 10 years ago and never went back.

    And at Denver, just like that, they help the Timberwolves win, the refs control everything, the whole NBA, they tell who should win with their whistles, the whole NBA is manipulated by the referees, at the Lakers they whistled everything for the Lakers, now all of a sudden they let the Timberwolves get away with everything with their fouls strange or
