Led Zeppelin did a live reunion concert in London in 2007. Over 20 million people tried to get one of the 18,000 seats sold. They killed it. Brilliant performance. Jason Bonham was an official member of Zeppelin that night and absolutely channeled his father’s spirit. He had studied every bootleg of their live performances and knew every nuance and fill his father had done, and performed it flawlessly. Seeing the three surviving members (Robert was 59, Jimmy 62, John Paul 61) playing with their beloved John’s son.........Can you imagine the emotions on stage that night?

Welcome to Led Zeppelin... and you’ve only heard one of their songs... strap in, you’re in for a ride. PS The hat that Jason and the choir at the end were wearing were an homage to John Bonham.
Yep, I watch this performance alot, and I agree best live cover I have seen...a brilliant arrangement and only the legendary Ann Wilson could pull this off. SO good
Jason Bonham is not merely the son of John Bonham, He is also the godson of singer Robert Plant. Jason also wore a bowler hat, as did most of the choral singers, as an homage to the late John Bonham. It was his signature in performances to wear a bowler hat. Jason has performed with Robert, Jimmy, and John as a part of Led Zeppelin on a tour years ago, and he is also an in-demand drummer for many of the hard rock legends when touring. He even dipped his toe into being an actor. He played the drummer of a fictitious 1980s era heavy metal band called Steel Dragon in the movie 'Rock Star' with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston. LOVE to see young people appreciating music from my generation. This is from the Kennedy Centers Honors (which is why the President and First Lady are there, along with all the celebrities in the audience). Every year they induct artists from various fields that have contributed to the arts and had an impact on our culture. I've watched the show every year and seen some great performances honoring great artists, but NEVER has the Kennedy Center ROCKED THE HOUSE DOWN like they did that night. Only fitting to honor the greatest rock band ever.
I'm SOOOOO glad that you watched this performance. I'm a 56 year old Englishman and been aware of Led Zeppelin for as long as I can remember. I began my musical journey as a drummer and was a huge fan of John Bonham. Jason was just 14 years old when his dad died in 1980 but he has gone on to become an exceptional drummer in his own right. Not only does this outstanding performance demonstrate just what an absolute masterpiece of a song it is, but also how overwhelming it can be when played to this astonishing standard. What's also beautiful is seeing the reactions of the 3 remaining members (from left to right on the balcony in evening dress with their awards attached to their lapels) John Paul Jones, bass and keyboards, Robert Plant, vocals, and Jimmy Page, guitar. They were evidently blown away by the performance and Robert Plant is reduced to tears. 😃
I love Zeppelin and I love Heart. This was a fantastic cover of this legendary song and IMO you two young women do the best reactions of anyone out there. Can you imagine how you would feel being able to do that song in front of Led Zeppelin and they love it that much?! Wow! And you even brought tears to Robert Plant's eyes!!!
The thing that gets me every time in this video is the look of sheer joy on Jimmy Page's face when they show the remaining members of Led Zeppelin. He has the unbridled enthusiasm of a child, seeing his music interpreted in this way, and it's great to watch. And Ann Wilson.....absolutely legendary voice. Wow. For the most part, she sings this much more true to the way Robert sang it on the studio version. And by the way, no one in the band knew that Jason was going to be there. Apparently the sight of him was what brought tears to Robert's eyes, thinking of his old friend Bonzo. This is powerful stuff.
its wonderful to see how these musicians can affect you guys so personally. The true power of music.... if youre open to it. Fantastic reactions...Keep it up ladies. Respect from the UK.
One of the reasons Robert Plant looked like he was about to cry during the Heart tribute performance was because he had just prior to the show been talking to his bandmates about Jason Bonham, the son of the Led Zeppelin drummer, the late John Bonham. Robert Plant was best friends with the father, and told his bandmates that he regretted that they had not invited Jason to the Kennedy Center Honors to enjoy it on behalf of his Dad. Then he all of a sudden Jason appeared on stage with Heart and Robert Plant was overcome seeing him.
11:52 Jason looks up. He's not checking out the balcony. He's asking for approval from John. I didn't see any kind of response, but I know what it MUST have been. "Well done son!"
These kids are pretty smart to recognize the moment this was. They get how emotional impact it had on the band, Jason, and the audience. Gotta love these kids!
Ann Wilson is one of the greatest singers you could ever hear. You spoke of the pressure to perform. Think about it, you are on the stage, performing one of the most legendary songs every written by one of the most legendary bands that ever existed IN FRONT OF the legendary band that wrote it. They absolutely killed it, and I'll admit, it puts tears in my eyes every time. I saw an interview with Robert Plant a couple of years ago. He said he was talking to Jimmy Page and said "We should have invited Jason. I can't believe we didn't bring him.." He said he lost it when he appeared behind that drum kit.
When Led Zepplin 4 came out in 1971. I had just turned 19. I was living alone and a friend showed up with this record album. We put in on the record player and started listening. I thought the first 3 albums were good but this is the gold standard. There were also some vegetables consumed that night. I will never forget it. It's weird how music can bring back memories. After all most of us were conceived while our parents were listening to music. Or the music put our parents in a romantic mood. Stay home stay healthy.

In 1979 my girlfriend lived next door to Ann.... I was invited to a BBQ at Ann's house, and she asked if I could play guitar. "Yeah, since I was 6 years old !" Ann asked, "You know Beatles' songs ?" This is from the Kennedy Centers Honors (which is why the President and First Lady are there, along with all the celebrities in the audience).
He’s playing it the way his dad would have wanted. And it was perfectly beautiful.🤟🤘👍
Her voice could knock down walls if she unleashed it....she is amazing
I've been a guitarist for over 40 years and it does my heart good to see young folks enjoying the greatest music in history! Your folks have done a stellar job in raising you and being interested and involved in your musical interests. Please keep up your great work cuz it keeps us ..... your fans ...... wanting more. I hope you and your family have a great Sunday! God bless
You're comment is too kind Jeff! Thank you so much! It is comments like yours that keeps us going!
When you have Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones watching from the seats; no pressure!!!🥴
And Jason Bonham on the drums, jajajaja!
Was my aunts favorite song when she was alive. Gets my MoM watery eyes also. We miss her so much and thank you for playing this beautiful song ❤️🙏🏻😎
I tear up every time watching this. It’s beautiful.
Props to Shane Fontayne for giving an excellent rendition of Jimmy Page’s legendary guitar solo
And he managed to give it his own touches while still respecting, but not just copying, the original...well done indeed!!
For well over a year, I've wondered who was playing the solo. Thanks for the revelation!
Was that who it was? Ain't seen him since he toured with Springsteen in the early 90's
@@ryanwakley1640 He has been recording and touring with Graham Nash for the last couple of years
Jimmy's smile said it all !
There is so many rock and roll legends... Zepellin was one of those, thank you
That’s a great reaction girls!!! 👊👊 Loved it
Thank you 7777shayna!
I saw Heart with Jason in 2013. What an amazing show. I also saw Led Zeppelin with Jason in 1988.
What to say about Ann Wilson, the woman is incredible, incredibly talented, intelligent, beautiful and can put soooooo much feelings and emotions into her performances! What a tribute to a fantastic Rock & Roll Legendary Band... Led Zeppelin! Two thumbs up on the reaction... enjoyed it much girls! You two are so enjoyable to watch... 👍👍😎👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much Warren for your kind words!
A standing ovation from the 3 remaining members of Led Zeppelin.
Ann and Nancy Wilson... The Wilson sisters!!!!! The 2 greatest women of rock n roll!!!!
I get really emotional every time I watch this. What a great honor for Led Zeppelin.
Heart did such an amazing job covering this song I sure am glad y'all did a reaction to this
Yes!.... I'm crying 😢
its wonderful to see how these musicians can affect you guys so personally. The true power of music.... if youre open to it. Fantastic reactions...Keep it up ladies. Respect from the UK.
Thank you Mountprospect1!
Imagine playing what is perhaps the world's best known guitar solo live in front of the man who wrote it. No pressure, right?
The gaze of the led zeppelin when they see their work of art. 🥺😭
The expressions on the faces of Led Zeppelin said it all! Great reaction, ladies!
Thank you Michael!
Hi girls. You just heard the best rendition of stairway to heaven ever recorded! This song gives me chills
11:52 Jason looks up. He's not checking out the balcony. He's asking for approval from John. I didn't see any kind of response, but I know what it MUST have been. "Well done son!"
I`ve heard this song million times but this version and performance really puts tears in my eyes.. it`s really touching
Next stop 100, 000.... Whats not to love about these two young ladies? Your The Best!!!
You are too kind John!
I am 60 years old. You both heard more in this music than I did after a dozen listens! Good job!
Thank you John!
These kids are pretty smart to recognize the moment this was. They get how emotional impact it had on the band, Jason, and the audience. Gotta love these kids!
Thank you Gary!
It always brings me to tears too, ❤️
Ann Wilson is one of the greatest singers you could ever hear.
This is my generation of music (70's & 80'). I've been curious about this reaction video stuff and have been watching other channels that do what you do and I have to say your energy is refreshing! You two do very well at articulating and describing these great bands from the past. Well done! I subbed!
Thank you 84 GreenBear! Welcome to our RUclips family !
Heart did an excellent job of Stairway to heaven.... fantastic
In 1979 my girlfriend lived next door to Ann.... I was invited to a BBQ at Ann's house, and she asked if I could play guitar.
"Yeah, since I was 6 years old !" Ann asked, "You know Beatles' songs ?" I said, "C'mon ! Sure I do !"
Sat next to Ann around a campfire and her voice moved my hair.
Have MANY videos of them from 2010 and on ... on my channel !
EPIC performance. Great reaction. 🤗
Who would have thought that these two young ladies would have the best music reaction channel on RUclips? Every video is a joy to watch. Bravo. Brilliant video. I think Ann Wison is the best female singer in rock. They do Zep so well.
Aww! thank you Steve! Those are very kind words you said and we truly appreciate them! Thank you so much!
The BEST OF ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!
Jimmy, Robert, John Paul Jones had said wouldnt it have been grand if Jason could be here with us on this night , they had no idea he would be joining Heart to perform this song ... and thats why they looked stunned in the moment ... wow , how it was kept secret is incredible !
I am 77 and Led Zepplin was a band I saw many times. Great to see young people discover music I grew up with. Nice jog girls.
Thank you sosguy!
Shared tears ... this rendition of the song is just brilliant. Thanks girls!!!
Best reaction I’ve seen to this by far. ❤️❤️❤️
You are too kind!
Stairway to heaven is just one of those songs that so deep it pulls your heartstrings! Incredible performance! Great reaction ladies!
Thank you Judge Dredd the Law!
Welcome aboard, youngsters! The two of you are blessed, to have experienced the wonderful talents of the Wilson sisters. Heart, has recorded such a large catalog of music, all of it great!
Great job with your reaction to Heart covering Stairway To Heaven from Led Zeppelin . That a cool backdrop behind you.
As always, thank you Eric for your support!
@@danasfaith5738 Your both welcome.
There is so much going on in the video that this song you must listen one time all the way through with your eyes closed,,and really isolate Ann's vocals......totally amazing
This was a tribute to Led Zeppelin, who were in attendance. Thanks, girls.
You girls already have the capacity to listen and hear. You're going to have so much joy!
Thank you Lewis!
It is refreshing to watch you girls react, the look on your faces is epic! Before Heart both Ann and Nancy Wilson used to do Zeppelin cover songs, it’s there favorite group! Later Nancy joined a band in Vancouver B.C. called Heart, they needed a singer and Nancy, who thought her sister was a remarkable singer, invited Ann! The rest is history! Ann Wilson is the best female rock singer in history and Nancy is the best female guitarist! You girls rock! Love the background mural! Keep up the good work!
Thank you Muzicman!
Don't be embarrassed about this tribute bringing you to tears. I'm an old grizzled Vietnam vet and it brings me to tears every time I watch it.... It was perfection!
You are watching two Rock legends paying homage to Rock royalty
Great reaction girls! Love seeing the younger generation appreciating these artists.
Thank you Lori!
Hi girls I was a teenager in the 60s I was listening to all this great music when it first came out it makes me happy they you girls are discovering it . Keep on ROCKING.
I love watching Zeppelin's reactions in this video, as well as yours.
Thank you !
Very powerful song. This version gives me goose bumps all the time considering Jason is playing for his dad, and that Heart are playing a song by a band they site as one of the influences. The orchestral parts and the background singers make this stand out and also help make this performance all the more special. This is definitely a song that is ok to tear up on. Excellent job again, ladies! :)
Thank you Strathaczar!
Led Zeppelin - That's the way (Live at Earl's court) must watch!!!!
Hi my beautiful, Juliet has no reason to apologize, you are reacting to a great song, I was always thrilled, especially with the presence of the members of the led zeppelin, it was wonderful !!
😘🇧🇷
Thank you Dhemi! it was an amazing song! And we loved that Led Zeppelin loved it!
I'm a retired Marine. Those girls father was the Camadant of the Marines back in the 70's They Rock
If you notice the chorus wearing a hat .. that's was an homage to the drummer John Bonham who used to wear a hat like that ..............love your reactions you look very genuine, and one can feel the love you have for music no matter from what era ...
I am surprised for your reaction and i love it. Thank you Ladies.😘
Those old men are the remaining members of Led Zepplin they keep showing imagine the pressure 💕also when I was your age I cried as well
I've seen this so many times and i always tear up at the end. Led Zeppelin and Heart ruled the 1970s!
Heart started as a Led Zeppelin cover band. 😎😎
The best Led Zeppelin cover! 🤯🤯
I know u probably don't know the deal about the hat . Jason wore his dad's hat and the choir, of course, had their own . Very moving tribute !! 👍
Told you! You guys are awesome! Freakin WOW, every single time I see this, my heart goes wow. I'm a 49-year-old man and I cry every time.
Thank you Rob for your kind words!

U need to request *CRAZY ON YOU* by Heart. ( Live version)
"Sounds like angels " when you said that it brought a tear to my eye and I thank you for that.
Jason looks to the heavens at the end, bet his dad was smiling down.
I pull up this video a couple times every year just to restore my faith in humanity.
Yo tb me sentí así... es una de las canciones más hermosas y significativas en la historia del Rock... sigan así con sus reacciones! 🇪🇨
Gracias Omar!
First time I have seen this awesome performance thanks to you young ladies! Great performance and in a way I think it may have left both of you speechless. Keep up the good work!
Music that evokes emotion is what MUSIC IS ALL ABOUT! Never let someone dictate what you should and shouldn't listen to. Follow what moves you! I cry almost everytime I watch this cover. It's incredible
So beautiful to see really young people react and enjoy to this magnificent cover. Everything here is outstanding but it still amazes me the courage it takes to play that iconic solo in front of Jimmy Page himself. And having Robert Plant tearing up as well as. Well done, girls.
