Type 1 Diabetes is horrible. My husband has it, and while the high blood sugars are dangerous, the lows are terrifying. That insulin costs hundreds of dollars a bottle in the U.S. is disgusting, because Type 1 CANNOT SURVIVE without it. I've had type 1 ever since I was like 6 or 7 years old. What sucks though is I can definitely tell when my sugar is high cause I can get easily irritated then but I can't recognize when I'm low until it's too late. It's almost gotten me into a car accident one time because I didn't realize I was low until it was already too late to do anything.. it sucks and I hope they eventually come out with a cure for it. I can't afford the 3,000 dollar insulin.

In the meantime, read Dr. Richard Bernstein’s book, “The Diabetes Solution,” and eat a ketogenic diet and incorporate some fasting (which naturally produces stem cells, by the way). Bernstein is now in his 80s and has had normal blood sugar for decades. With this approach, you also minimize the insulin the you have to take and any long-tern damage of the disease.

Ok but they failed to mention that in order for the stem cells to work one needs to go on an anti rejection drugs, it’s basically like an organ transplant. It means that an immune system is compromised and in some cases a simple infection might be fatal. I took a part in a study a few years ago and this was well explained to me.

In the meantime, read Dr. Richard Bernstein’s book, “The Diabetes Solution,” and eat a ketogenic diet and incorporate some fasting (which naturally produces stem cells, by the way). Bernstein is now in his 80s and has had normal blood sugar for decades.
With this approach, you also minimize the insulin the you have to take and any long-tern damage of the disease.
