Do you think there is extraterrestrial life in the universe?

    • @marcocambray7725

I consider humans on Earth extraterrestrials beings/life. It hard for me to even grasp the idea that only this planet may have life, I'm a believer that as long as there is visible matter and the right time and formula is given life can show up anywhere.

Neil Degrasse Tysson gave rosy a love for the Universe. Gave them the curiosity bug, and a need for exploration. Or at least to study the cosmos. Nothing wrong with regurgitating SOME of Carl Sagan's work to do so. He has influenced many and is an actual icon in the field so it is kind of an obvious and easy approach.
Become the director of the Hayden planetarium and influence thousands to just contemplate their smallness in the universe with a single book. I will wait for the publication. Doubt it will be original.
He is also very original in the way he teaches. He gets the majority excited, which is hard to do in the field of science where there is so many scientifically illiterate. Would have killed for a teacher like him when i grew up.

TokyoTraveller the major one to me is at 1:31:00 where they start talking about Artificial Intelligence. Sean brings up a point with a story about how if mankind builds AI too good that it can learn from its mistakes and continually evolve so it makes itself all supreme. Isnt that a danger to mankind? My take on it was she was dismisve and mankind would never let that happen. Yet here we are in a world where we rely heavily on AI and computers to do things for us including think, and she thinks that is never going to be a problem. While watching these science shows you see many educated people who think we may be on the brink of being too late.
This is the first time ive Carolyn. Maybe its her way of being funny and trying to keep up with everyone else but it comes out more as being your and idiot and im the smarter one.
As for other time stamps i would say the one i gave u would be a good one to start with. Otherwise just pick any spot and watch for 5 min

I like the idea of how in our potentially simulated universe the creators would just decide to throw in a Neil deGrasse Tyson to break the 4th wall and hint to their existence

He has a unique perspective on things that is incredibly insightful and inspiring. He is a great storyteller, able to take complex ideas and make them understandable and relatable. He has a captivating presence that grabs the attention of those around him and he always seems to bring some kind of new insight to the conversation. He has an ability to think both critically and emotionally, allowing him to see a situation from multiple angles which makes his opinions valuable and relevant. He has an inspiring nature that encourages others to think for themselves and come to their own conclusions.

❤I love when I fall asleep and don't touch the remote control, and I just allow RUclips to roll independently of itself....I do it all the time. I feel my subconscious knows what I should watch better than I do sometimes...so I woke up at 5:00 a.m. this morning, with this playing a few minutes in... I'm listening to it half in sleep, half out; voices chattering, Neil's voice and laughter booming. Still groogy, but throughly listening to every thing they're all saying. The guy in the hat was the realiest... the main female scientist is too. I rolled over, and watched it, stopping it at 48:43. My next thought was this.... I'm jealous of every single person there 🥹 because they have the ability to go see him at theater shows like this... or to just be able to be that close to him and ask him questions. My next thought was I wonder if I woke up to the middle of a favorite dream....or if I woke up in the middle of a complete nightmare....💔starring Neil.

It's not true that we're like parasites. Parasites do not think or realize their impact, parasites also do not try so many different methods to renovate and care about their hosts/environnent, neither create technology and environnemental farming and exploration. Anyways, start talk always brings great conversations and philosophical exercises. Thanks for the show, I am subscribed and as always liked, shared and recommended.
