    the reason why Dr. Tyson is liked because the way he explains in a right and clear way and not twist the question.

    • @eeetee792
      @eeetee792 6 лет назад +8

      no its because he says things in a lay person's way of understanding. Because he is an affirmative action baby and can memorize what smarter people than him have explained to him. He has never produced anything original, period. He is famous because he is rare, an African American that is portray in the media as an intellectual (please don't take that statement in the wrong way, I'm not saying its rare that Africa Americans are intelligent, I'm sayings it's rare that the main stream media portrays them to be intellectual). A bit like that same way Morgan Freeman is famous.

    • @mastervrse4165
      @mastervrse4165 6 лет назад +23

      EEE Tee He is smart and everything everyone knows was taught to them. Including you, like name something you discovered yourself? Nothing, and just because you don’t discover something or learned from other people, doesn’t mean you aren’t smart. Everything you will learn, unless you discover it will come from someone else, sure he learned it from someone else, but he puts his own twists and opinions in it. Which is why is smart, to be smart , is to be curious. And he is, and he is an Astrophysicist, and what are you doing? Also the media, whom I don’t like much, portray him as smart, because he is and expresses what he knows and his opinions.

    • @mastervrse4165
      @mastervrse4165 6 лет назад +8

      EEE Tee But if you want to get technical about what smart means we can. To be smart, you need intelligence. Intelligence is being able to apply knowledge and skills, to everything around you. Even if you don’t agree with what he is saying, he studied Astrophysics and is using the skills he got when he studied it and is applying to everything, and is telling people what he thinks. So, he is definitely smart.

      funny how people use uncommon words to try and sound more intelligent when a simple word would suffice. exotic, uncommon, or descriptive words are used to create more depth in a sentence than would be if you would only use the regular word for convey some meaning. Otherwise it just comes across as obnoxious, conceited and compensating for real intelligence. Actually Nachos you and Neil deGrasse Tyson have something in common ;)

      It's still not too late for you to get into "the world of science" if you're really prepared to make the effort. Leonard Susskind was a plumber before he became a physicist. I, myself, didn't get my B.S. in engineering until I was 47 in 1994.

    Not long heard of Neil and seen some defamatory remarks towards him on other channels due to his laughing nature,but this shows him in a different light. Great interview and when he gets past his jokey nature a serious extremely thoughtful guy.

      What you call a "jokey nature" is intentional to pander to the low information short attention span public with poor educations. He has to talk down to them or not be heard at all. Same with Nye.

    Most people don’t know not only was he a great student and successful scientist with an amazing speaking ability, but he was captain of the wrestling team and a very capable wrestler. So he mastered both academics and sports. It’s not a common thing to have both. Truly a remarkable man. I’m glued to everything he says.

    This interview is so great! I agree that it is so important to expose our kids to every opportunity available to them, especially since schools these days do not provide any extra curricular activities anymore. When I was a kid we also went to museums and zoos and all kinds of interesting places. These are just as important for their development as a textbook, I think even more important.

    This guy is a modern day hero!
    Listening to him is infectious & his passion & curiosity breeds yet more curiosity of the vast unknown.
    If only more people could appreciate we are but a dot in the infinite universe.
    Humans are so restricted in our capability to see past our own existence & we live our lives fixated with irrelevant self made social conflcts that we don't stand still to be in awe of beauty of everything around us.
    It is only when someone so curious as these types of mind speak that allow us to pause & consider how insignificant yet special we are in the greater landscape of the universe.

    • @2fast2block

      Only a hero to unsound minds. 1LofT states that energy can't be created or destroyed, it can't happen naturally. One aspect of the 2LofT shows that the universe is winding down, usable energy is becoming less usable. Creation had to be done supernaturally at some point.

      I’m also curious as to what questions you would ask.
      I mean that non-sarcastically. This is how we as a species reach new heights. We hear everyone’s questions queries and ideas and expand on them.
      If theoretical physics have taught us anything it’s that you have to be bold and ask the seemingly crazy questions because as Neil Degrasse Tyson said himself
      “The universe is under no obligation to make sense to you”
      So fire away, man!
