What a RIDE.... listen to this, close your eyes, no visual needed, this is a pure audio experience / Journey ... but the better your headphones, the more it makes sense!
I love the patient, plodding, gut punching bass line in this song while everything else is so frenzied and almost frantic sounding. Attaboy Billy Talbot...
Just look at that marquee from the Fillmore in 1970! For six or seven bucks an evening, you could watch more all time great musical acts in a month, in a single venue, than you can in a decade now, spending thousands of dollars chasing acts at venues around the country.

What an amazing time and concert venue.. I mean Neil, Miles then Mayall, Cocker, The Moody Blues. And on and on. The Airplane, Hendrix, Charles Lloyd. When there weren’t cell phones, TikTok.. just all about being enveloped in the music and open to whatever.

Jack's keyboard work is amazing. It adds another level to the great lead/rhythm guitar counterplay by Neil and Danny and Billy and Ralph's bass/drum laying down the surface of the song.
Around four minutes in there is the best lick I ever heard running down the A minor scale... The fact that Neil Young says he doesn't know his scales just blows my mind considering how well he does this... Wow....
He could have not performed this any better. It's the best performance period of this song. I love U neil young. Southern girl who sang u a song with her college roommates at the Omini in Atlanta un 1972 the concert where the weirdo jumped on the stage during Cinamon Girl. Not the 4 of us. Some people ask, "did you have a wife?" I answer, "No, I had dozens. I had one here, and one there, wherever I could find one."
