I'm 66yrs old now and thankful I grew up during the highlight of the best 👌 👍 Rock n Roll era of all time . I saw Neil Young back in the 70's for $400 at the Autotorium in Chicago at the time . Best show ever. I'm listening in 2024 🎉now so who's with me who grew up during that time?

i remember when this first came out , maybe 1968 or so ? it's been a long time and i was ripped on mescaline and mushrooms that night . took enough for five people accidentally .had to sit down in a corner of the room at a party in SanFran . my spine began to heat up and i sat bolt upright as this came on the stereo. must have been about fifteen people in the room and no one said a word or moved as the entire album played without a break . it's impossible to explain in words the feeling in that room . it's as if the entire group were transported to another dimension all at the same time with neil at the helm of that mind ship . truly psychedelic .

I feel ya! Had the 8-track of Harvest in the F-85, given by my double breasted French-Canadian G/F in H/S as a B/D gift. About wore the tape out, liked it so much! You can imagine the rest, and oh!, thanks Neil for setting the mood whenever appropriate & so often as well!
some say that he isn't a good player. As for creativity and variousity that is not right of course. As for technical ability maybe, but i'm not sure either.
Out of all the great rockers of his generation, I don't know if anyone aged with so much energy left for live performances. You can still feel all of that energy he has in his soul for this music. I think that you can feel that the artist is tired of singing and playing the same song over and over but Neil plays it like its his first time and last time whenever he plays.

I love the way Donald Dunn plays the bass for the song, no embellishment required. Jim Keltner rock solid, with all the fills in the right place, powerhouse rhythm section.

I love how this 50 year old song takes me back to Tossa deMar, Spain, where Neil and Santana were the only North American music tapes I heard in the clubs and on a little cassette player on the beach. 1971 was an amazing time

This was, of course, his first album with Crazy Horse in 1969, release a bit before I graduated from the working-class grist mill--thinking I knew what was what! Hahahahaha.

Neil is intense when he gets in his zone. I've seen him working behind the scenes and he rehearses as if he were playing in front of an audience taking breaks to correct things so when you see him on stage, what you're getting is an extended, amped up version of where he's been at working it out in a rehearsal studio and following his active muse. He loves to play and find new musical ideas and is as genuine as they come.
