The videos on my RUclips channel portray some of the typical day-to-day activities that I do for relaxation. This video was produced with relaxation in mind and hopefully has some ASMR qualities. Too much stress is harmful to your well-being and in today’s fast-paced world, stress management is more important than ever, and so I hope this ASMR video acts as a stress reliever for those watching and a sleep-aid for anyone having a difficult time falling asleep.

I have a similar bag, but I have a few extra items. that you might consider. The water purification tablets are good, but they actually do expire. They have a usable life of about 4-5 years. I always keep a Lifestraw in my bag, which gives you immediate access to virtually any water source. I also have a small, but powerful EDC flashlight and extra batteries. Streamlight and OLIGHT make excellent ones. The lighters and matches are great, but I'd add a magnesium/ferro rod firestarter. I'd also add a signal mirror. You might also want to include a blood clotting agent to your first aid kit. Most don't have one. Finally, if you can get it to fit, a 12 gauge shotgun is always a good choice.
Shotgun might fit next to the guitar pick in that front pocket.

I agree with the flashlight. I don't have an example though. I'm never opposed to a different Firestarter, to me it just depending on where you are going. A cheap lighter works in 99.8% of situations to me,

You have made me realize how special all the little things and gadgets I’ve either taken for granted or never thought much about really are.
back in the day before i discovered asmr, I would watch these types of prepping videos to fall asleep. This was a nice nostalgic trip and great relaxing tingles. Thanks for the great video.

I’ve had the same Maxpedition wallet for 11 years, and it still holds up and functions very well. I can hold a lot of change in one zipped pouch and I keep my spare keys along with movie tickets and guitar picks in the other one. Their products definitely stand the test of time.
I'm always in awe of your organization & preparedness. I would love to hear any stories you have about times where you needed to use any of these tools to magiver your way out of a survival situation. Always a treat to hear your voice!❤🙌
Although zippos aren't great to be packed away for long periods of time, they do make excellent survival items. They are hands free, wind proof, and unaffected by temperature, unlike a bic lighter. They can also be refilled and run off of many different types of fuel, making them quite valuable if resource scarcity is a problem.
If you ever ran into Mr. Fisher, it's possible that he gifted you that pen. I had the pleasure of meeting him once at a convention and enjoyed his company and conversation, and he gifted me a pen as we parted. An enjoyable memory, and it comes back to me when I handle that pen. 😁
The guitar picks made me smile. I also have several which are many years old now. I don't play guitar but always thought they might prove themselves useful one day - you never know :)
Guitar pick shavings make very good fire starters.

I have a couple questions, mostly revolving around stuff you said in past videos about getting some of your items appraised like the 1920 Silver Dollar from your trinket box video and various jewls from your "Special To Me" Video.

Years ago when I was a kid and taking lessons I would use the ue medium picks. Now years out of practice I tend to just strum with my nail. Wish I had the time to sit with a teacher again.

You should definitely get a portable battery that u can plug a cable into and charge any device and get the one that has a solar panel that can charge when out in direct sunlight
Good video, the only thing I would add to that is Duct tape and Kevlar cord, both very useful.

I use a backpack and it's just filled with more or less the same but more first aide. I keep it in the trunk, spare tire sub well floor.
I have a slightly smaller version of that same bag. In the summer it holds the things that would otherwise be in a jacket pocket - car keys and wallet. Permanent residents are extra house keys, a Classic SD SAK, a Fenix E15 flashlight, and all of the extra cards that would make my wallet too fat.

You should consider buying a leatherman to add to that EDC bag. I personally own the Leatherman Signal. It’s the perfect outdoor survival knife, but has good EDC applications as well.

For the emergency phone charger get a Gallium nitrate charger brick. The one you have now is extremely slow and in a case where you might need it topped off quickly that one won't do.

I am always relaxed by someone handling things. I find it very calming for some reason. I will watch this at bedtime many times, I’m sure.
Those matches are cool. Look into the uco matches. They come in that sort of case but the whole stick has that stuff on it. It’s like a torch. I’ve stuck them in water while lit and they still burn when I pull them out. Super cool

Id argue that you could use a zippo if you had those butane insert for it. But yeah regular zippos dry out quickly if not used on a daily basis.
You're quite correct, there was a wave of prepper content around the 2012/13 mark. I put together something similar but never actually used it (as in carried it) and have never needed it (not to discredit the practice). I do try and carry a lighter on me after a came across a young woman in some distress (sat on the floor of a bus stop, no shoes or outerwear at night). she wouldn't accept any help I could give, only asking for a light for her cigarette, which I didnt have. Maybe I could have helped her properly if I had just had that lighter.

Very cool carry, I swear everything I'm into, you eventually make a video about it haha 😅. The only thing aside a good pocket knife I'd add is a simple yet high quality flashlight! Maybe that's something you already carry on your belt though, but certainly an important emergency item.
I have a small compass the size of a quarter, or maybe half dollar, also, a battery backup power supply might be good - they DO make a few in small sizes, that could fit in the bag. Good for an emergency charge of your phone if it dies on a hike.

This gave me some good ideas for items to add to my kit.
I would definitely suggest adding a notebook. You can get a little "Field Notes" notebook for fairly cheap. They even have ones with waterproof pages.
The water purification tabs are good, would suggest also adding a filter straw maybe. Might not always have a vessel to hold water but with the straw, you can drink directly from a stream or even a puddle if things are dire.
Though I suppose the contents could easily start drifting more towards survival situations rather than potential everyday needs, and that could grow in volume rapidly lol.
a small hand mirror is also good, a clamshell type to protect it. Good for looking around/behind/under things or checking your face, or even signaling a plane if needed.
Ha. My first thought when you opened it was "needs a pocket knife", but I'm smart enough to know to wait.

Well . We don't know that he IS do we . All kinds of folks carry a small emergency kit with them but do not carry a gun . They may call it an EDC , or not . Both of my grandmothers called them ... PURSES ! And I promise it would have been one FOOLISH individual that tangled with them .
I’m in Sheboygan so I’m not far from the power plants as well. Every time I pass it on my way to sturgeon bay I always think what if. It’s good to know there’s pills that might help in that situation thanks!

They make credit card size fresnel lenses for quite cheap that make starting a fire very east. Just a thought!

Nooo.. EDC in this case ... in most cases actually stands for Every Day Carry . Used to be just survivalist folks and ones who loved their gunzz waaayyy too much but now it's all sorts . Basically anyone practical

I also have a EDC bag grated mine is a lot bigger I actually have two EDC bags they that I carry in the back of my jeep.
And I have a little bit of everything in them one is like a gym bag and the other is like a large duffel bag that you can wear like a backpack both came from my local military surplus store that I’m a regular at as I’m good friends with the owner I’ve known him for awhile.
And as someone who’s big into prepping and military surplus stuff and has a lot of stuff I must say for someone who’s just trying to keep a small bag this is good.
