I have the DDM console (came in car)and we love it! The cup holders are too small in my opinion but it’s great to have durable cup holders. It’s covered nicely with an oem feel! It looks like it came like that from the factory! Like your car a lot too!!!!! Good luck with your channel and content!!!!!!!! Keep them coming thanks a lot!
It really is great...DDMWorks definitely stepped up where GM didn't, and I'm glad they did! Thank you so much, but as nice as it is, there's still much I need to do to it. Thank you so much again, I don't plan on stopping anytime soon, and I have much more planned! You're so very welcome!!
I went ahead and did mine. I have a coleman mug that would cause the cup itself to come out. Other than that, yes the clips do hold everything in well.
Looks cool and convenient! Does it feel weird while driving and shifting gears? I’ve read mixed reviews about it! Also, I really like the shifter knob you got there, I didn’t think it was possible to changed them. I got a short throw shifter from DDM works, and the knob seemed as one piece with the shifter assembly! Great video! Thank you!
First off, thank you so much. Im glad you enjoyed it! After a few days, I can say that it's a bit awkward and is definitely a change that takes getting used to. It does hinder your shifting depending on the size of drink you have and which cup holder it's placed in. If you are 'Big Boned', you will definitely find it more of a hindrance. In the end, I think it's come with a tad more cons than pros. But hey, Cup Holders! With the Shift Knob, yes, you can change them out. You just have to purchase DDM's Shift Adapter, and then you can get to customizing. And as much as I love this little knob, it comes with an unsatiable rattle in second gear, so I'm changing it out, unfortunately. I thought of doing the short throw shifter, but the sky already has such a short throw, I figured I was fine without it. I do have a video showing everything I used when changing my shifter and how to do it. In the end it was actually pretty simple. Once again thank you!
@@Kaswells_Kappa Thanks for the quick answer. I’m not big boned, so I guess I’ll get on with ordering it. You right, CUP HOLDERS lol! I must’ve missed that video on the shifter, I’ll check again lol! Thanks man!
Absolutely! Yeah, as small as I am, I still get hindered a bit, but nothing is perfect, especially aftermarket parts! I'll give you the link as well, it should be titled 'Gear Shift Mod' And anytime man, thanks for checking out the channel! Link: ruclips.net/video/J4O7bv65o4Y/видео.html
There's a few others like RPM Motorsports and Norms Finerglass that make products for the Kappa Platform, but nothing really as far as replacement kits such as the timing chain. DDM really is the best though!
You are correct. They don't allow for a flush fit. But if there's any moment you use a tight cup, it won't come out with the cup. I prefer the screw believe it or not. Also, it keeps the console from moving or shifting. So there's a give and take.
You can buy it from the link I'll provide below. It's from DDMWorks. Be aware that they are out of stock and on a heavy back order. They took several months to get me my order. Link: www.ddmworks.com/Center-Console-with-cup-holders-for-Solstice-Sky-by-DDMWorks_p_901.html

Cup sweating will run into those holes, get the carpet wet underneath and mold eventually if you use them alot.
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to look into putting some kind of coaster inside.
Great videos. Very informative.
Thank you, that's exactly what I aim for!
i didn’t know they made this! i’ll look into adding that to the list of upgrades for my saturn
It's a very nice addition, albeit pricey. I am very happy with this upgrade!
@@Kaswells_Kappalooks like they have a waiting list
They usually do. They're typically out of stock and on back order by a few months at a time.
@@Kaswells_Kappa thanks
Absolutely
I didn't bother screwing mine in. The clips seem to hold e everything in place pretty well.

Now I have to figure out Google drive.
It definitely takes some getting used to. If you need help navigating the menus, just give me a holler, and I'll do what I can.

Im Glad DDM is still making products for the Kappa, i believe they are the only one left.....Gotta keep our cars running.

The screws seem like overkill and make the cup not set right.
