John McDermott - presents "Honour Thy Fallen" by Karen Eaton

Today is Memorial Day in the USA, and May 1st was First Responders' Day here in Canada. I thought it'd be a good idea to shine a light on a beautiful soul who left us too early. Karen passed away peacefully at home on Sunday October 9th, 2011 with her husband Alf by her side. She was 53 and a cherished mother of Sean and Adam. She supported her husband who was an officer and the police force he worked for with her song "Honour Thy Fallen". Today I want to honor her.
Be kind to each other. It's a short time we have here.

Wow. What a beautiful tribute to those that are the thin blue line protecting everyone else. I have lost a few close friends in the line of duty. The pain of their loss never goes away or lessens.
