- This month is Cancer Awareness month in Canada and this song is something that I worked on with Kevin Hearn (from The Barenaked Ladies) several years ago on a commission from OSF Healthcare in Peoria, Illinois. Kevin has had his struggles with the terrible disease and now has a wonderful clean bill of health. Dr. Jim McGee is a friend of mine who has consulted with many Canadians over the years regarding cancer therapy and I am proud to say OSF Healthcare (of which Jim is a big part of) has opened a new $500 Million Dollar facility in Illinois. They are an amazing, absolutely amazing health care group. Please support your local fight against Cancer.

So very touching and extremely emotional for me. I have lost too many family, friends and even pets to this terrible disease. My road warrior partner fought her cancer for about 4 years but I know she was tired of fighting and she missed her brother and parents very much. I think she just decided it was time to leave. I will miss her friendship forever. She became another sister to me over the 20 plus years of our friendship. Praying she is with them now. We became friends from the love of your music. it was a blessing to me. I like to think she is listening to your voice up in heaven because surely, your voice is the favorite of all the angels. God bless all those fighting and living on with this beast. May you all beat it and live on.

Heartbreaking. I have seen so many people who faced their illness with courage and confidence and who ultimately had to leave at the end of the way. It reminds me of a time when I worked as a temporary ward assistant in a hospital for two years. I also admire the way you interpret your songs. Soft, emotional and yet powerful. A beautiful experience to listen to you .
