Just got the tuf oc to replace my 6800xt gaming x trio and I'm super impressed. The msi card was an absolute monster. Weighs a TON. The tuf 3080ti runs just as quiet but weighs far less and runs cooler than the 6800xt despite using about 75 watts more most of the time.
@@synkra4836 no problem with the vram here . I am using H500M casing , a couple of noctua fans and black chromax on the CPU . Vram is about 70-80c playing games , 56-58c for GPU . If I am using 3DS MAX which push the GPU to 100%, it runs at max 85 c . Room ambient temp 30 c , yes I live in a hot country . If you ask me , the performance is so good . The fan noise is low , the performance is amazing and it only requires 2 x 8 pins . Yet it often peaks up to 2000 mhz despite using much lower power than its STRIX brother . Yeah. I have the 3070 version of it, and it's a really fancy card. Quiet and powerful! But expensive. This is the card that I managed to buy so overall I can't complain
I have the 3090 version, it's a great card and my only complaint about it is that the fan speed when using the SILENT BIOS is too conservative and the GPU temperature exceeds 80℃ under heavy load. Of course you can set a custom fan curve using Afterburner but some games crash when you use it.
The prices are absolutely insane here in the Netherlands. There is no way you can grab one of these for under €2300. The problem is not even that you cannot get them here, looks like nobody is buying for that price.

Did you hear the sound test and not realize how much smoother the fan sounds? The numbers are obviously not the end all be all, FE and TUF have noticeably loud whirring and popping sounds with FE being significantly worse.
Thank you and thank you Best Buy on Aug. 26th. That's when I waited all night but was able to buy a RTX 3080 Ti FE. I did have a choice of that (US$1200) or a 3090 for US$300 more. 3080Ti's sadly are selling more closely to the 3000 dollar mark in my country, the Netherlands ^^; I wasn't able to snag an FE anyway, the 'buy' button never did anything for me even after repeated refreshes and then just disappeared roughly 10-15 minutes in.
I really wanted to upgrade to this card, but I hoped for a 999 USD MSRP. Sadly seems like another year using my 1080Ti.
I love that Asus is really pumping the TUF lineup back to what it was before
suprim x 2300€
tuf oc 2200€
day one in France (renown retailer) no stock xD
glad i could buy 3080 at 930€ back then (same retailer)
i was fortunate enough to buy a MSI ventus 3x 3080 ti (that model bc it was basically the only one in the microcenter that day) and am having a great time. If I can get a 30 card, you can too
I went to BestBuy to see if I can buy a $1200 card, which I can't really afford. But when I got there the 52 tickets they gave out were long gone and many people had to leave.
I just managed to order the RTX 3080ti Ventus 3x for 1260e, it will arrive next week.
What happened to the asus 3080 ti strix review that was promised in the last video? Did you mis-speak and mean the tuf?
Btw which monitor are you currently using? It 🔥🔥
Looks like you ran the Asus TUF in quiet BIOS mode. (They have a Q - quiet, and P - performance switch on them.) ... Only saying that because the TUF run around 62'C in Q mode.
The best GTX3080 Ti is the GTX3080.
Second best is the one you can actually find and afford...
the whole 'Tie' thing is dumb and a mere cash grab on behalf of Papa Jensen
Yes mom, I need this to run zoom calls.
Australian 3D animator here - FE cards near impossible to get here. Can these triple fans style designs be stacked as I will need two for 3D rendering. What's the solution? Thanks!
Can you please water cool the 3080 using EK-Quantum Vector FE waterblock? I just contacted EK and they confirmed it works with the founders 3080 Ti. Would like to see the results before I order the block.
Yeahh that's great. But how to buy it?
Tuf 3080ti non-OC is 1199 whereas a Tuf 3080ti OC edition is 1899. These are some crazy times..
Ummm - New set up in the background. Looks great. Tour please!
Keep up the great work!! I love the videos
Got my 3090Fe 4weeks after release from eBay for 50€ more.
Aktually 100 because i had to drive some distance. He ordered a Trinity^^ for waterblock.
After this 1,5 shitty years the best buy i ever did for PC-stuff.
The cooler of the 3090Fe is incredible.
The nvidia 3080ti is limitied by this small cooler. And the customs are superoverpriced...
Should I get Msi ventus 3080 ti or nvidia 3080 ti foundation?
No idea how the suprim X managed to be the loudest card with such a massive cooler.
MSI in a nutshell. Mostly bark, little bite. Plus, they scalped their own products.
50w more power and 100mhz higher clock speed. If you normalize this, they are very similar
Did you hear the sound test and not realize how much smoother the fan sounds? The numbers are obviously not the end all be all, FE and TUF have noticeably loud whirring and popping sounds with FE being significantly worse.
The slight improvment in performance isn't worth the big price diffrence
Thank you and thank you Best Buy on Aug. 26th. That's when I waited all night but was able to buy a RTX 3080 Ti FE. I did have a choice of that (US$1200) or a 3090 for US$300 more. Everything else is available that I want for my buile at Amazon or Newegg right now. Of course I'm not going to build the computer, I'm chicken. But a friend is. Thank you again for another great quality video.
Honestly let's save for a 2500 dollar 3090 at this point.
I'm saving up already for the RTX 4090 lol, but then I managed to get my hands on a RTX 3070 to go by with.
What is that monitor setup iam really imtrested for what the monitors and the stands are and if you could do a video on it
Loved this thank you!
What kind of "accent" this is? I love it!
In my FormD, I got a TimeSpy score (graphics) at 19052 drawing only 255 watts with my Sapphire 6800XT SE after UV/OC. The Radeons are so much more power effective than Nvidia. Stock was 18732 at 279 W. How about a Radeon vs Nvidia comparison for heat/noise/performance in smal ITX cases @Optimum Tech?
I miss his arms, no hoodie next time
Does anyone know who manufacturers Nvidia's FE cards? I am willing to get in touch with them directly.
