I appreciate the honesty of a legit video laying it all out there to see. WORLD CLASS is a level HRM aspires to be but it falls short on a few areas which you mention. It's basically a large small city with growing pains. Cheers
Halifax as a coastal city, has so much potential for an economical hub for Canada. I wish their was more incentives for global businesses to set anchor in the City.
You fail to mention a few things, parking…very little parking, bike lanes have taken out not only parking but the other half of the street…parking down town is limited and expensive…the city is small and compact…there is no room to improve streets by adding another lane for example…Bedford highway is an example…congested most of the time, the two bridges are also congested most of the time..our immigration is through the roof…not much to rent …and most rents are above 2000 a month…traffic is congested on most highways …it takes hours to get anywhere if there is an accident for example…all highways are connected and back up…taking a bus will take an hour or two…to get where your going…the more the city expands with housing the less parking…and the more congested the traffic becomes…there is no room to expand roads…none…I have lived in Halifax all my life…it’s a great place to live but frustrating when it comes to traffic and parking…maybe most cities are the same…thank you for taking the time to make this video…👍
You cherry pick the worst indicators. Everywhere gets storms for instant, but I’ve lived in 5 provinces and the South Shore of NS has the best weather by far. Winters are remarkably mild, there is no rain like Vancouver, and if it snows, it’s gone in a day or 2. The weather in Halifax is even milder. As for transit, you need to get out of Halifax and see the country. No cities the size of Halifax has transit beyond buses (KW has light rail but that’s a region, not a city). Growing pains? It’s the same everywhere, which is uniformly tough in the locals. Cost of living? About middling.
Really enjoy your content, makes a nice change not being focussed on Toronto. I know you are based in Halifax, but I for one would be really interested in a video(s) about other parts of the province. For example, if people can't afford, or want to pay the prices in HRM, where would be some picks for better value an hour plus away? I drive in to Dartmouth for work, it takes me 1hr 15 each way, and find that it is worth it as we got better value for money where are, more space, quieter roads etc. Are there places to watch out for, places to avoid etc?
Nova Scotia in general, including Halifax, is very expensive to live in. Higher taxes all round. Higher cost of living (grocery, rent, transportation, etc.) It is best to just avoid the region as a whole.
#1 should be oversaturation of "Come From Aways" as this is the cause of "High Cost of Living", "Growing Pains", and "Lack of Affordable Housing". Bonus: Diminishing East Coast culture.

I’ve had this on my list in general! Lots of amazing towns in NS. Will probably do this when the weather improves 👍

Do you really think there will be same population increase with the recent immigration cuts

Crazy how much has changed over the last 5-10 years
Not agree
Woke mindset. I can tolerate everything else but that.
yeah don't move to NL either, its just as bad maybe worse
computer generated music ruins this not to mention the fake M.O.
This guy sounds very confused.
We have higher tax rates in CBRM
Halifax is cheap compared to Ontario
Not when you factor in taxes and cost of food and other things that have to be imported here from Ontario
Ya if you live in a tent. 😂
Great info fella !👍👍
