- This was a fun project that we shot over the course of three days on a $500 budget. Wouldn't have been possible without the love and support from the cast and crew, so much mahalo's to everyone involved.

I love how they both exchanged gestures with how the other guy does it in the end. It shows how much respect they gained from each other. Really great writing.

@@robb5522 $88 mil, yes. Because of expenses for everyone involved: think of all the pizzas, hot dogs, cold drinks, alcoholic beverages, massages, personal drivers, cigarettes, pills, powders that are daily essentials for everyone of the crew involved!
Oh yeah and I guess they have to squeeze out a little movie at the end of their partying too.
I was going to be rather critical of this project until finding out that it was made in three days and a $500 budget. This is really damn impressive work, given the circumstances. You guys should be proud of the final product -- great work!
It's much better than the last 2 official movies-2018 and especially 2022. The last one is total BS. I understand it's trendy to shoot strong and independent women but it's just ridiculous. They made a mockery of Predator. The same with black people shooting in some fairy tales and movies about specific times and areas in the past where there were definitely not black people.
It is certainly a sign of the times, when they make movies today. Snow White played by a minority? The 7 dwarves changed into something else? I would rather watch a short film like this. @@Tintovino-28
I’ve always loved military history, especially in the Pacific theater during WWII. The acting, the uniforms, the weapons, the military jargon, the soldiers body language, everything is amazing; and then to throw a Yautja right in the middle of it. You guys did an awesome job; I love this video!! The big studios could take some pointers from you guys!

This fan film is set in 1944, all branches of the U.S. Military were segregated until July 1948.

Dude, most troops were white, they had native code talkers but most fighting was by whites and some Latinos and Jews for good measure, blacks were forced to drive trucks and such. Those helmets look off, they don't look right
One of the Americans are holding an ak47 + there’s inaccuracies regarding headwear because they’re all supposed to be wearing m1’s whereas a couple are seen to be wearing another helmet. On top of that units at the time were segregated. From a historical point of view - it’s not doing so well.
For anyone who doesn’t know or remember, when a predator dies, it’s clan mates will pick it up and carry it away, whilst rewarding the victors for their feats.

@@nicholasburton1474 yes however that was before any major lore, and when they are solo they will kill themselves so their technology doesn't fall into enemy hands, or they will use those devices as massive bombs like in AvP.

While this little piece is showing here on youtube for free there isn't anyone on the planet that would want to pay 10 dollars (let along $2) to watch it let alone find a distributor that would release it or a theatre that would show it..lol.........Its a nice little film they made. They obviously use the original as an outline for what they did here. Its also just 9 minutes etc......Hardly anywhere near the quality of a full length feature film in any way, shape or form.
Imagine putting a lot of deep lore into fan films like these.

@@dalebecause2467 Hey, trying to be encouraging here. They put forth a solid effort, on peanuts, in a few days and accomplished a lot! I've been involved in a couple of student films and those kids worked their asses off, I was very impressed at all of the behind-the-scenes work that has to be done just to make a very short little film. These folks did that X 100.

I love that this is set during WW2. One of the most compelling aspects of the Predators is that they've come to our planet during many different time periods. I love seeing the Predators fight humans with different equipment and tactics throughout different time periods in history. It adds something fresh and different to the table. I also recommend The Predator Dark Ages fan film if you're interested in stuff like this!

A lot of fan films I just skip right around to the end. This one is insanely good no matter the cost of production and I was compelled to watch every second. I love the camera angles chosen that make you feel like you are right in the middle of the action.
That was twenty times better than the last one they released!

Taking it to the next level with this film. Great concept, I absolutely loved it. I'm a big Predator fan, so this film is forever imbedded. Super badass short film.
Congratulations on creating a great short film! I was impressed by how much you were able to pack into such a short time frame. My favorite aspects were the music and sound effects, which really added to the overall atmosphere. I also appreciated the way the soldiers from both sides worked together to defeat the common threat. It was a refreshing and effective portrayal of unity in action.
Better than any Hollywood studio could ever do today, bravo.

I refuse to believe this was made on a $500 budget. The cinematography, sound design, editing, camera composition? *EVERYTHING* about this short film was excellently crafted with the utmost care and finesse! Plus the fact the colors mimicked those of an old, colorized war film was an exquisite touch among other things, even the story of two enemies becoming brothers-in-arms against a common foe was nothing more than the cherry ontop! The only fault this film has is the audio not being visibly synced properly, but that isn't anything sound programs like Audacity and whatever video program you fancy using can't fix! 9.5/10!
I can attest that it was 500 roughly, I worked on it.

MY MELANESIAN AND POLYNESIAN BLOODS, LOVED THIS AND LOVE TO SEE MY PASIFIKA PEOPLE SHINE ON SCREEN. This Franchise really NEEDS a Pacific version, perhaps during the world war, but also pre colonial times, our mythology and warrior culture would be amazing to see represented in a stand off with the yautja as the skypeople. Love the way the japanese and the pasific soldiers worked together to beat it.

That was simply astounding! I could see the low budget from the first few minutes, but the screenplay, acting and action sequence was magnificent, I didnt give a shit about the budget, I was grateful to have those 9:36 minutes in my life.
That predator score and sound effects are what make it magical. Awesome job

Even though they got oscar-winner Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne and Danny Trejo along with other little-known actors, they aren't really that in demand and therefore their salary for that movie wouldn't even have compared to other actors in more popular movies.

They were Marines , not soldiers. Marines definitely deserved the Reward
when 500 bucks of shoestring budget, but made with passion, outclasses any multimilion dollar bs hollywood churns out.
This deserved a whole feature lenght movie. It is incredible just how much you got me invested in the characters with only 9 minutes.
Now imagine if you gave this crew the multimillion dollar budget hollywood usually gives. What a gem we could have.

I'm going to be honest - I liked the alien hunting dogs in the last movie and I like that the scientist adopted the injured one. That's the sole reason I like the movie.

Not gonna lie. The idea of a predator movie set during WWII is awesome. I mean we learned from the first 2 films that they are drawn to combat. Makes you wonder why they haven't made a movie about it already. But these guys? 3 days and 500 budget? Brilliant short film. Well done lads. Loved it.
Instead of a WW2 with zombies (which there are plenty), ww2 with predator would be awesome. A predator in the western front and another on the eastern front.

YES!!! I haven't even watched the video yet and I love the concept! I've been hoping this concept would one day be adopted for film. I think I remember coming across it in a Predator comic called "sands of time". I say that but I could be wrong because it is a distant memory from childhood when I collected comic books. So glad you took this on as a fan film, I can't wait to finish watching it!

From 2019 to 2023, with a budget of $129 million, The Meg 2: The Trench looks much worse than this. I cannot IMAGINE what you guys could do with half the budget and time. Absolutely fantastic stuff.

I'm bettin he does believe that film to be some damn good work. Can you do better Oz? Don't go criticizing hard worked films saying its bad. I did notice some mistakes in the vid though. Like at 00:30 when their crew took out the mag on the AK 47 to probably make it look like an old WW2 Carbine of some sort. But come on, it was decent work.
No way in hell this was made with only 500 $, all the needed equipment rent fees would already be over 500$ let alone that really amazing Predator Costume. That alone would take several hundred dollars to make. Maybe they had alot of donations. They could only shoot this for a low budget since they already had tons of equipment from the peoples involved and cause they are doing short films for a while.
They had some really professional stuff there no wonder it looked like a real Movie ^^
But i hate when they try to force this we only made this with a hand full of dollars on you, like anyone could do it with a few bucks^^

Myself as a vet, period correct guns, clothing, and gear were well implemented. This was enjoyable to watch, and only having a $500 budget, the results were impressive, Well done!

Now imagine a b-roll dialogue. Building structures of lore and tactical reasoning for their quest. Slowing some of the hit scenes with realistic smoothness. Drawing in detailed armor closeups and better morph mirror fades when coming into visible character. That all comes with a budget, and if these writers had that. They would make a top selling movie fast!
Super well done. With the proper budget and script this could’ve be expanded to a great feature film
