  • Here is an update on the second version of my 15-10 SSB transceiver. Here I describe progress so far, and focus on the innovations that make this rig different from the early mono-band BITX20 rigs.
I talk about the Low Pass filter, the narrow Bandpass filters, why we use TIAs, the 10 pole crystal filter at 25 MHz, my use of Pete Juliano's EMRFD nulling circuit for a diode ring, and my use of the push-pull "transformer-less" audio output circuit from Revision 4 of the uBITX design. I also talk about the overall pineboard/copper tape construction, and a bit about the transmit circuitry, specifically the microphone amplifier circuit, borrowed from the uBITX design. The next video will cover the RF power amplifier.
