I think a video tour of all of your shacks would be cool. One that highlights your favorite tools, rigs, and most used/favorite test equipment. I'm still building out my shack/workbench. Might build a receiver later, idk.

The first thing that popped in my head when you were talking about the sticker is a crew in hazmat suits removing the sticker........ cause i'm sure it causes cancer in the state of California.🙄

Right around 57:25 there was a little discussion about balanced modulator that aren't quite balanced . My first time dealing with that was an old ssb rig, 10/80, one of the very first solid state rigs, but it had a 4 diode balanced modulator and it had a little 20 pf variable cap you adjusted to balance it. I could get the carrier down to absolutely nothing with that capacitor.
I've noticed my 7300 now has a small amount of carrier and haven't seen anything talked about where you can balance that circuit. It does bug me. I'd like to know a little more about pete's rig ? N6GRG

Oh man, this illustrates the big problem with rigs like the 7300: All the carrier suppression (and most everything else) is in the software! There is no diode ring to which you could add trimmer pots or variable capacitors. Pete found a way to put a trimmer pot on an SBL-1 diode ring can. It is in EMRFDon page 6.57 under Pete's old call, W6JFR. 73 Bill N2CQR
