Thanks so much for uploading these. I've just been watching Floodtide again (another Roger Marshall show) which I loved first time around in 1987. This is as good as that. Thanks again. David
@@FoogouFilms The late Philip Sayer played Dr Ramsey who got involved with a French drug trafficking operation. John Benfield played his sidekick copper, DCI Brook. Written by Roger Marshall, made by Granada and shown in 1987. Two series....there was to be a third but unfortunately Philip Sayer passed away the following year. The 2 series, 4 disc, DVD is available, released by Network and available on Amazon. Gritty, like Travelling Man. Marshall was a great story teller. David
@@dsummers1966 Thanks for the extra info, David. I really should be putting together some sort of spreadsheet of possible future programmes to get hold of - usually secondhand, as cheap as I can, off Ebay - or, there's hints to be made with Christmas coming up!
Admittedly, out of the many British TV shows I remember from the 70s and 80s, this is one I have not heard of, though I wish I had. I've never heard of Leigh Lawson, either (I've heard of his wife, though), but I am so hooked right now. I love it already. I think it's one of those shows where your heart really bleeds for Lomax.
Hi, yes l live where they filmed the episode in Warrington Cheshire and Manchester!! I remember seeing it in 1984 and said to Gran. He's climbing over the wall at Walton Gardens in Warrington!!! John Scarrot was a Camera Man in Series 4 moving on!! At the Chirck Aquaduct in Wales!!! He was the Camera Man in the Helicopter and he felt Sick!!!

Floodtide rings a bell, but can't quite place it. Thanks for your comment.

Pleased to hear you're getting into it. He must get fed up of being known as Mr Twiggy!
@@FoogouFilmsLol.
@joesanto4513 cheers!
That bike he's riding looks like something from 'Street Hawk".
I hadn't heard of Street Hawk, but checked it out, and you're right. The long leather coat spoiled the image somewhat though!

Thanks for the detailed info.
Okay thanks ❤❤❤😊😊😊
The travelling man a polite elquint good looking bloke and rustic to boot, how could a lady ask for more 🕯️
13:40 on. Man, this looks like something that came from the TV version of P.D. James' "Death Of An Expert Witness".
Ha, yes. A bit cringey. On a random note, I once supplied PD James with a wheelchair in her later days.
@@FoogouFilmsWow.
Around 17:05. Remind me never to live by a marina.
A very intense series
Filmed around Preston Brook ?
I was wondering where it was. Are you familiar with the place?
@FoogouFilms , no but I did some searching using location clues and Google Maps.
