Oh such a shame. Now in 2024 I realise that we should all work the land together, educate our children at home and keep our beautiful communities going
Nice Video! Nice Wedding!😊Yes the whole town had to be invited. Imagine what would have happened if some werent invited and others were!!?? My Goodness!!!! She would have definitely Had to leave town!!!!!.😂😅😂❤️❤️❤️
My family on my mother's side are from Devon and I loved holidays (still do) there as a kid. My husband who is originally from California, loves Torquay and is very impressed by the beaches and beautiful countryside!
Strangest of weddings, the wedding march is played randomly followed by a hymm to which the bride enters. That's a shabby ceremony and an extremely disorganised vicar.
I just looked it up on Google Earth. The church there, although built in 1933 doesn’t have the bell tower and the memorial cross further along the road is not there. Am I looking at the right village?
\Rough looking they were not what a thing to say / Each person there were country people ,country workers . wages were poor low . Country was still poor because of the cost of WW2 paying the war dept back to the Americans / These were the days when a man owned a best suite just one suite and ladies had a Sunday best dress for church or chapel .plus this was the time of the Teddy Boys with Pointed Quiffs in their hair ,and of course the Winklepickers shoes . People tended to marry from 18 years onwards . as for the Vicar he wore the usual robes of the day, spoke in a refined ellequant manner You will also note they were still milking the dairy cows by hand and they would fill up metal churns . A time when manners and respect mattered .along with the Chuch school Baptisms weddings and of course death . A innocent time . a good time to be alive even if one was poor / Look at time now in 2024 Starmer ruining our magnificent country . A TIME THAT WILL NEVER EVER RETURN COME BACK AGAIN IT IS AS SAID INNOCENCE LOST . Will wait for ever for Innocence to be found . I hope they are still alive had children ,Grandchildren and a Happy life together. .
How can Starmer be ruining the country? He's only had it for five minutes! The Tories have been the ones who dismantled every public service, tanked the economy and picked the carcass clean. I don't like Starmer, but we have to be honest.

Lovely video of a more gentler time! Not without their worries either, but a more gentler time!😊
I hope they had a wonderful life together. 🌷

It would be fun to get an update on the couple and the town.
England as it used to be.
I hope Angela and John are still alive and still together and have lots of grandchildren.

Lovely Deefa - he really cheers me up ❤️
I grew up near then 😊
They'd be in their 80's now, if still alive.
God bless them, hope their still together, after many years.
Would like to know!
I hear a mix of a Devonshire, English and Irish accent in the narrator.
More romantic than todays over the top nonsense

Was the groom chewing gum?

Maybe not a church anymore. Might be a residential property now.
It seems to have about the same amount of population that it had 1900
Seems strange that the vicar went ahead before the bride came in!
What year was this
Careful with that cake luv!
If she was any later they'd have Carried on with the wedding without her?😂
They all looked so gloomy 😮
The bride was a bit rough rocking up so late

I think the organist had been notified of her arrival in the porch prematurely

@headron66 Now I'm not sure if you were the bride or if that was an imaginary reply.
@@headron66 Thanks.
(Timing in a man is very important !)
Some of these people were a bit rough looking like the parson.

Are you crazy. They look fine…the village looks gorgeous too! It was 1968!

A wonderful time to be alive. I miss the 70s and 80s x
Also a time when brides were dressed modest and demure..no cleavage on show
