A buddy had one at the range yesterday. I was having the same problem while using it. The brass kept falling out. Then he told me to "get a running start". Roll the roller a few inches behind the brass on the ground and the brass in the cage will spin off the bottom and not fall out. Worked like a charm. Had 50 pieces in the cage +/- before dumping it in the bucket.
I’ve picking up brass on my hands n knees for a while. After 20-30 of doing that, it felt like I just did 10 sets of squats. Can’t wait to to use the brass pucker upper thingy miggy.
It is the same thing as the “nut picker upper” or whatever it is called. I bought one (get the small size) from Ace Hardware for less than $20.00. Well worth the money. Saves your back.
My local gun shop has those for $45 and I considered getting one for the matches I shoot, the cowboy action people loose their minds when brass is left on the ground, so we pick it up by hand
Seen these for sale for ages, and I always wondered if they worked. Looks like it works but not for long :) Guess I am still going to have to bend over to pick up my stuff at the range heh
I wonder if there’s an electromagnetic retriever that you can turn on and off. That way the makers don’t have to worry about it being too powerful or too weak.
Maybe if I go shooting at my buddies place...drop brass in his driveway...keep all the gravel I pick up also..keep brass and his gravel...put gravel in my drive...buy more loaded 9mm with money I was going to spend on gravel for my drive..crap did I say that out loud?
Yeah, it IS a lot better than getting on the ground, especially if you’re old and decrepit and it takes the fire department to get you back on your feet!
I had one of those for a while and i was a little disappointed, they do work better on hard clean surfaces, but still really slow... I wonder if there-is a better way - cheers brother man have a good weekend
Pops Quest That Farmageddan place sure sounds fun. Which begs the question, Is Farmageddan a place, an event, a movement, or a state of mind? Or maybe, it’s all of them. I think it’s movement which started at an event held at a place which led to a state of mind. But I have been wrong before.
Well this better then nothing, at least save your back for having a future problem, it F... hard when you shot a lot and you have to squat down for hundreds of times kkkkkk. I like it beer in one hand and the device in the other.
Do you have an email account? I got something to send to you, but not sure you want your email and address posted. How do I contact you and give you my email?

We use those to pickup pecans. Or should I say my wife uses it to pick up pecans. While I drink beer and scratch.
Shootin' with Uncle Dan Hahahahaha that’s a good wife.
seller559 when she wears her Daisy Dukes I can watch her all day. Subbed you by the way.
Shootin' with Uncle Dan Thank you

Thanks for sharing Pops. I'll stick to picking up my brass. Way faster and I can still hold my cocktail.

It was a good idea, but a little weak. But like you said, it's better than getting on your hands and knees.
I'm pretty sure in a pinch it would double as a tv antenna ..
Damn right, wrapped in foil, LOL
Nice thing-a-ma-jig. Still seems like a lot of work though.
I do not mind getting down on the ground if she is good looking. Nice video brother. God Bless..
Me either Bobby!!
Get yourself a 2nd one then you’re dumping less often. It’s a cool idea. Same idea as picking up nuts out of the yard
Still relevant, thanks
It may not be the beat all end all I hoped it would be after all. Oh well, thanks for the info.
Worth the cabbage but it is what it is
Don't know what I'm worried about anyway. Property we used to shoot on was sold so we're without a range to dump brass on anyway. LOL
You can use it with a beer in your hand? Nice to know your priorities.
We here at Farmageddon do NOT fuck around Sir!

YES!!! To all, trying for September this year
Pops Quest No Spring event or movement... ?
Mine works about the same way
Yeah looks like it kinda works okay.

It works better on solid ground, not a semi sandy area
I see guys use those a lot.
There are always a couple guys.... LOL
This thinks work on floor with gravel stones?
Pops....The Family Guy
Stewie is the man
Kids are for picking up your brass.
Now THAT is work...
Yep, something those video games are lacking.
Not too bad.
The lowest setting isn't for storage... its for rick
*Ozark trail brand Bounty paper towels; quicker picker upper*
