- Théo de Blic's tutorials is a free web serie where I give a few usefull tips on various aspect of paragliding. The tips I give are coming from an already long career as a professional pilot in acro paragliding.
This tutorial is the latest episode for this season's tutorial. In this episode I am talking about the 2 stage stall technic which is used in order to stall 2 liners or even high Aspect ratio 3 liners. This technic is very important in order to practice stalls and backfly with nowadays gliders. Some EN B also need this technic in order to have perfect stalls. It's a very good technic for every pilot interested in stalling whatever their glider are because it increases your control over stalls and allows you to enter backfly without actually going through stalling. As an SIV instructor I teach this technic very early in my students stall program.
This technic might also be called Acro Stall, or Pro Stall it actually has many names. It's not a new technic since it's been used by acro pilot for a very long time but it's fairly new that this is regularly taught in SIVs and so on and therefore everyone has a different name for it.

oublie la commu xc c'est souvent des rageux, puis d'après ce que j'ai compris c'est quand même utile quand tu fais du cross de savoir décrocher et maîtriser la marche arrière, donc savoir que c'est possible avec une deux lignes c'est plutôt cool !! merci Théo !!

Hi Theo. Thank you for your fantastic videos. My question relates to the wing loading flying the xenon. How do you find it flying about 10kg below max? Does it maintains a good handling, and do you notice the glider less pressurized ( glider with more movements int turbulence)? Thanks !

So the “2 stage” reduces pitch excursions in entry and exit keeping open so less cravating.. … like Seko’s exit and entry remeniscent of deep stall (heli entry , parachutal training or tailslide)
I’m curious if this would also apply to reflex gliders (for paramotor) which tend to stall in a similar fashion with the tips going first.

Thanks Theo , can you maybe do a tutorial on Backfly and maybe slow down the video as some of these videos are a bit fast to wath. How do you know if you are in backfly. What ar ethe risk of trying it/practising it. It seems like a really useful skill to develop. Thanks for your efforts and keeping us safe.

You can change the speed of the video reproduction. Just click on the Configuration Wheel on the You Tube viewer. It is really useful.
Can or should we do a 2-stage stall also with mid B-wing when it's not strictly necessary? Does it give any advantages over the "first-SIV-full-stall-A-wing" technique?
It’s a more efficient, cleaner, less cravate friendly and more controlled way to stall. But it’s more technical. Training it on mid B is really good !

t'es le seul capable de nous aider. Quoi arrive s'on fait le decro directe? S'il te plait, fais un video de ca! Ou de erreurs frequents dans le decro en general! Parce que si tout va bien c'est jolie, car le problem arrive quand on ne maitrise pas la tecnique...
