    Upgrading to a 100amp alternator from a Highlander or 130amp from an RX300 is a must for these cars. Like you said the alternator was weak from the factory. Also go with remanufactured Denso and not aftermarket.

      I was gonna say the same thing. Don't get an auto zone or advance auto alternator.
      Do you have an empty antifreeze reservoir?

      @Signifikant I think for the most part they are pretty great cars, the only really important issue is previous owners. As long as it's been well taken care of and proper maintenance, should do alright. (Besides the CV axles)
