Hey Kyle. I just noticed at 23:28 you said the car broke up due to being rich, however, an AF ratio of 17.57 is lean as all hell.
For gasoline engines, the stoichiometric, A/F ratio is 14.7:1, Higher is leaner, and lower is richer. Also, your turbocharger increases the density of the air resulting in a denser mixture. The denser mixture raises the peak cylinder pressure, therefore increasing the probability of knock.
As the AFR is leaned out, the temperature of the burning gases increases, which also increases the probability of knock. This is why it is imperative to run richer AFR on a boosted engine at full load. Doing so will reduce the likelihood of knock, and will also keep temperatures under control. None of us want to see holes in your pistons
James Mitchell i always thought it was peculiar how the chemically correct af mix (14.7:1) was consistent with atmospheric pressure.... think it's coincidence or ... am i just dumb and not seeing the connection?

Chb2 Christian Hope Bushnell pretty sure thats a forged crank bro. Unless the journals/snout got nicked on the way down I don't see how a table top tip over would hurt it.
The first time Kyle dropped the wago crank I don't think he hurt it either. Forged steel my man, he did however iirc not measure bearing clearences on that build & was just new to the whole thing ( bruh was torquing the rods down before the main cap ). Not to mention the half ass job they did notching that D series cylinder sleeve cuz they had interference with the rods and STILL went on without going deeper/wider on the notches. THAT is what killed that build.

He got the wago crank inspected and they confirmed that it was bent.. He explained it in a different video
citizenjp yea, the crank may have been bent but who knows what really caused it. A lot of variables.
He did torque the rods before the girdle. That can SNAP a crank and throw all kinds of shit off.

Damn, I never got into tuner scene when I was a kid, but if I did, I would have been damn lucky to have someone as skilled, knowledgeable and patient as Brent at PFI.
Brent is soo freakin helpful to you guys, someone needs to surprise him with something awesome for all the times he has gone out of his way to help everyone. What does he like or what has he been wanting to do and ALL you guys need to pitch in and return the favor to that man.

So much cleaner and safer and the best connection possible by doing the injector plugs like that. I have always done the butt connectors, but after watching this I'm going to do it the way you guys did on my next build or the next time I have to do some injectors. Good work

im surprised he hasnt jumped on the i need to new shop every couple months bandwagon like all the other car youtubers.
KoG GoK It usually only makes sense. Most of the car RUclipsrs don’t have space to work on or store all of their cars at home so they rent a garage/shop. After their lease is up it makes sense for them to move on because they can probably find a better deal on a bigger space or have a larger budget from channel growth. In this case Kyle has a house with adequate space for his particular needs so there isn’t a point renting out a space.

Im more of a small block ford, 88mm turbo guy in a fox mustang, but Ive been seriously wanting to build a nice hatch civic to daily and of course build the entire shortblock, amazing cyl head, and turbo it.
I liked my RB26 big single turbo swapped s13 so I should enjoy a honda I guess?

You could get the injector wiring looking a bit cleaner if you route the loom under the fuel rail instead of over. Would look pretty mint imo. Love the build!

I noticed when you weld, you keep the torch at the end of your weld to keep shielding gas on the end of the weld. Those classes are paying off.

Just a heads up. Most any push loc hose isn’t rated for oil above much over 200 degrees.

Also.. don't be surprised that things worked and came together.. when you take your time and do things right... and don't cheap out... it's always gonna work bro... it's a car... it can't beat you.. just remember that. I rebuild 12,500 lb thrust turbofan engines...(gas turbine engines) and theres gotta be like literally exponentially more parts and if you ever thought engine management in a piston banger was complex..... buddy engine management on aircraft turbines have more sensors for fuel schedulel than an entire car lol and i always took my time...did things right....and lucky i wasnt spending my own money lol

I put a high flow oil pump on my z6 oil pressure is at 100 when cold. 60 when warm.
Hose clamps on push loc hose like that will usually make it leak. You will do more harm with the clamps don't bother. I run 90psi of fuel through -10 push loc
