Awesome Vid! In case you didn't see (for another stranger things secrets video) when Will is loading the ammunition in the gun (in vanishing of Will Byers) and you get a close up of his face with the gun, a figure moves in the background, and you get a good view of it 😮 (I dont know the timestamp), hope this can help 👍
I think part of the metaphor of the Upsidedown - as wielded by Vecna - is that it's being stuck in your trauma, in your darkness. In S4, Vecna specifically went after people who had trauma. Dustin had been scared for his friends before and from fighting monsters, but having his hero die in his arms is a whole different kind of trauma. That might give an opening for Dustin to be attacked. Lucas also has that opening now, with what happened to Max. Regarding Dart and the above -- Dart's story presenting how Dustin being a hopeful kid who was acting on optimism, it provided benefits. Eleven has also had a character arc about using her powers via anger. I believe both Eleven and Will are going to have arcs regarding using their love and goodness to protect people, instead of either going for rage or being overridden by trauma and self-doubt. (Will the Wise, going for the protection spell, finding agency finally instead of BEING the one who is protected.) I think something that is going to help Will a lot the majority or all of his friends being cool with Robin, another gay person. Yes, Will is in love with Mike, but his fears are also about loss of community, not just loss of Mike - even though Mike is the most important. Knowing they don't find him disgusting, that he won't be left behind... I think he'll draw a lot of strength from that. Being able to use that strength against Vecna and the Mind Flayer... to scream into the void, "I am loved. They found me. They protected me" is powerful stuff. Vecna is Number One. He's always felt isolated and alone. The kids being able to connect with each other through Will (wisdom)... through Mike (the heart)... through Eleven (strength)... So much of this show's theme is about being able to rely on your people.
Being Stuck is a theme too. Especially on season two. Billy says they are stuck and so does Will to Mike after trick or treating. There are probably more too. It stood out to me how many times being stuck is mentioned.
This Mind Flayer theory is turning into Stranger Things in as much as I've to wait for your grand finale to fully comprehend! 😅 Something I wanted to mention though, as I was rewatching season 2, there is a part in episdoe 8 - The Mind Flayer, that stood out to me because of one of your observations. You point out about how Max, in Season 4 when talking to Lucas in campervan about how she has to be the bait because if its not her it would be a stranger who wouldn't know what they are up against. You pointed out how Max was originally a stranger when she joined the group. Well when her, Steve, Lucas and Dustin are on the train tracks, Dustin flashes his flashlight at Max and calls her a stranger, which she then repeats in a rhetorical question. Just thought that lended itself to your hunch about the Max-Stranger significance. Some visual parallels to other seasons too are when Dustin looks in trashcan and finds Dart, it is the same visual from season 1 when Hopper looks in the pipeline that Eleven escaped Hawkins through, they're even both holding flashlights. Then you have Nancy and Steve have that awkward chat while their taping up the shed, same vibe, visual, scenario she has with Jonathan at end of Season 4. Anyway, loving the connections you're pointing out as it helps give a fresh look at the web they're weaving. Keep up the good work! PS Edit: Another question they need to answer in season 5 is why Max and Billy's family moved from California. It's a bone of contention between them that has never been explained.
I have some BIG ones coming soon about Max FOR SURE! Lol and no doubt I think I have a few hunches about why they could have moved there, why Billy blames her, why he Mom acts how she does, SO MANY ANSWERS TO BE SOLVED Much love as always fam!
And why did Billy's dad up and leave Max and her mom, after his death, and why did Neil "blame himself" as Max read in her letter during Season 4, Episode 6 "Dear Billy". Why did Max and her mother stay when they could've gone back to California where the majority of her family are and her father lives? It's like Joyce, Johnathan, Will and Eleven switched places with Billy (and his father) and Max (and her mother) by them fleeing Hawkins and Max staying behind.
@mamabear-9.18.18 If you remember, when Max and Billy are in his car, he says, "Who's fault was it we moved?" Max whispers "yours. " He then screams at her to tell him it was her fault. So, who's fault was it?. He then speeds towards the three boys as if teasing her, daring her to do something, she grabs the wheel, and they avoid them. Was he daring her to use powers?. Was this why they had to leave California, and why Max and her mum never went back?.
@@sarahpercival8460 ... Hmmm. I think that's definitely something to stick a pin in and not forget. I definitely don't believe the "new start, newly divorced" story version Max gave Lucas on top of the bus. Someone has to have a job setup somewhere and Neil seems like an angry man who's a loose cannon and do we have any confirmation of the details behind where Billy's mom went? Is she still alive because when El first saw her, she almost looked like an angel. Reminding Billy of that specific memory on the beach is what ultimately saved her life by Billy sacrificing his own. Could Max and her mom had to sign the confidentiality paperwork Joyce was telling Bob about? And that's why they can't leave now? Possibly?
@mamabear-9.18.18 Yes, that's a good point when Billy's dad spoke to Billy in that scene, he commands that he calls him sir, a bit like a drill sargeant, is he in the military?. I also believe his mum has passed, but Max's dad is still alive. And it's a bit weird that they didn't go back to California after Billy's dad left. But they might have been flat broke as he left them with nothing, as they ended up at the trailer park. But maybe they can't go back for some reason.
There has been a tease from Netflix, showing a wanted poster for a Jane Hopper, missing since June 13 1986, last seen near Hawkins High School. This is not the only poster in the scene, but you can't quite make out the other faces, I presume this is some more of the gang. We know this date must be right after we leave them at the end of season 4. I think some of our gang have gone into hiding, away from the authorities, which we know they don't trust. Fighting on their own as they always do. HOW EXCITING!!!!!!!!😊
I have to look a bit closer and I want to analyze everything in that teaser because they have a bunch of random things in there about ST5, even after the opening scene. But from what I saw earlier it looked like multiple copies of the same missing Jane Hopper flyer. Like I said I gotta check but WHAT A THURSDAY lol!
Hi Brandon. I’m 5 minutes into your video but I’ve been thinking hard about your clues over the past few videos and I just GOT it! 🧠📡 WOW!! 🤯 You’re a fantastic content creator. I’m so glad you started making videos. You’ve given me a deeper understanding and appreciation for the show. Thank you and congrats on the success of your channel. I hope you go far on YT. 🤘🏽
It's WILD isn't it lol! The "When Will Was the Spy" series is no doubt going to transition the minds of Stranger Things fans for sure. I was doing my final review last night to get ready to film today, and I definitely picked up on something that I NEVER NOTICED before. Specifically about how Will acts at certain times after he lets the Mind Flayer in. Stay tuned fam and much love as always!
I've been dwelling on things as always this week, and I've come up with a point that eventually gets to the mindflayer. Eleven is only seen once in the upside down as we know, at the end of season 1 when she destroys the demagorgon and has to get back by opening the crack. This is the first time we see her eyes go red and bleed (just like Chrissy, Fred, Patrick, and Max in the last season), has she been there before physically or has she just seen it in the void.? We know she can do this because she sees Will in the fort in her void state. The second time we see her eyes do this is at the end of season 2 when she closes the gate that we are all assuming she opened in 83, she levitates this time using more power. We see this again a third time, (but elevens first?), when she sends Henry through to the dimension, where we see black smoke, a red aura and tiny demagorgons, is this the upside down?. What will happen when she does this a fourth time, four chimes, four attacks, four gates. Is this when she will change into something else? Remember the reference to the x men comic, which refers to the red phoenix, now I'm no marvel expert, but what I do know is Jean Grey is a powerful mutant with psychic abilities, but when she becomes the red phoenix she becomes a total baddass. Is the red bleeding eyes a hint at what Eleven is going to become, and will it be the end of her.? When El sends henry through to the dimension, she tears him apart, and he is somehow turned or rebuilt into vecna, and I think this is why Vecna is attached to the vines, because whatever built him into vecna, is in control of the vines. Remember, rebuilding is mentioned with Billy's scene, and when Vecna spoke to Eleven. So did it rebuild Henry? When Brenner tells Eleven about Henry, he tells her that when he kills, he absorbs people, their minds. Is he really talking about Henry, or the upside down, and whatever controls it.? If Henry is in control, then he moulded the mindflayer grew the creatures, everything. Or is Brenner clueless about what is controlling Henry?.
Interesting video, you raised some great points. First of all, you are saying Mike's getting bad vibes about Max, and it's more than petty behaviour, well I'm doing a theory about Max and you have a point it is strange, and there are more about Max. Mike says something to the boys in that conversation about Will having true sight, is this our indication that Will does have abilities, and the boys know about it.!! Maybe that's why Will didn't want Lucas and Dustin to know because they would be vulnerable, Lucas and his gung ho attitude and Dustin for his intelligence. He also says Will's seen IT, is this something different to the Mindflayer, as they call that the shadow monster. This again strengthens the possibility of Will having some sort of powers. And if this anniversary effect is correct, then Will only vanished a few days in real time, so an hour or so in the upside down even minutes. On the Dart issue, it does go back to the upside down after Will is infiltrated by the mindflayer, so maybe it was a kind of spy, but it was different to the others, eating chocolate, listening to Dustin, maybe this was because he grew in their world and came from Will when he was Will as we know him, not all stuck in the upside down with a vine in his mouth. So is dart an outcast to the others, I think so. Well done as always.😊
Much love as always fam! Absolutely love your story telling for sure lol. So many questions, and so many answers we are going to solve, MARK MY WORDS lol!
I didn't take the Mike reference of Max that he was getting bad vibes about her specifically. I took it that he was protecting her. And that's what he meant. Mike and Max had a little spark in the gym, enough for El to peak jealousy and rage with Hopper. Then 8n season 4, when Max was explaining about the headaches, there's a flashback to the 2 in class and Max getting a bloody nose and Mike showing concern for her. Mike, Max and El are also the 3 that are broken off at the end of season 3's Mall scene with Billy. I think Mike was trying to protect her. I wouldn't be surprised if Mike wrote the letter that Max threw out. What I think Mike may not realize that the others have is there's strength in #'s and I think Will's painting was trying to hint that to him as well. All the boys have their own strengths and their own weaknesses. Same as the Robin, Nancy, Steve and Johnathan. The Wheelers tend to be more controlling or dominant than the others but they know they need each other in order to succeed in their mission.
@mamabear-9.18.18 Yes, that is certainly a way to look at it, but it's Max that smooths it over with Mike in the gym, making sure she's OK to be a part of the gang. I never thought he was trying to protect her, more like protect the gang. In the gym I think he just remembers what it's like to have a girl around again, which is why he smiles with her. Remember it's Lucas that tells Max what's been going on, even Dustin, although he has a crush on her, doesn't think she should know at first, she gains their trust, and like you said with that lame story on the roof of the bus about why they moved there, which doesn't seem right to me.
