I think I learned more in just a few minutes watching this video compared to what I knew before got out of other people's videos. Guess I'm going to have to pull a model out and build something
Thank you! I'm glad to hear it was helpful!
I gotta agree, some of these techniques you use I've never heard of before.
Brilliant. You're a great teacher 👏👏👏
Best instructions on youtube for beginners. Simple, clear and short ! :)
That's a great job of painting and weathering.
Looks great Hank - nice job
Beautiful work,I had a KV1 for 2,5
years .
Loved building that one.
Now I'm building a JSU152 passing railroadtrack in Poland,spring 1945
Great paint job pretty enjoy watching your videos. Can't wait for your next one
I’m glad to get a quick video on how to paint and trick up a post winter tank on the eastern front. I’ve seen Night Shift do it as well, so extra knowledge and technique are surely appreciated. Thanks Hank.
Watching these videos has made me more adventurous into the worl of Scale modeling and every time I watch I learn more and more. So happy I found this amazing space and channel!
I like what you did with the pigment. Your method looks like it will be better than what I have done in the past. Thanks!
Another amazing video. I'm about to start my first Sherman it's the M4A1 mid from Border Models and I will definitely try this technique.
The beast looks pretty good
Master builder, my friend
Mighty fine work!
Something I notices by watching you paint with the Ammo paint; they seem to be more vibrant than there Vallejo Model air equivalent.
Hello Hank! I Just built this Kit a day Or two ago. Nice vid Bdw!
Thanks Mr. Hank for the video, but if you have the time to comment, do you have any tips for mottling, or by chance can you make svideo about it?
Wow, that was really nice and simple to do. Good job. Would you say all done in one weekend or 3 days with drying time?
Is there an advantage in using Flory wash instead of oils ?
Not really! The Flory just dries a lot faster since it's water-based... you can move on to additional steps a lot more quickly. Really a preference thing, but I use oils sometimes as well.
When I am going to paint a model ship do I need to use spray primer before painting it
Chopin nocturne in the background?
Love the KV-2, one of my favorite Russian armor. I do have a question though, I've been toying with moving away from my lacquers and on to acrylics (pure acrylics). How it in the heck do you actually get Vallejo primer to go on so smooth lol. I've had nothing but absolute horrid results from it. Maybe a vid for the future? Otherwise I might have to stick with my Mr. Surfacer and then acrylics after that (I only seem to have issues with the primer lol)
what psi or needle size are you using to prime? In my experience it actually required a tiny bit of thinning with water/airbrush thinner even if they recommend not to for a better coat
Out of curiosity, why are you thinking about moving away from acrylics?
@@bruhboyb3812 it was a .5 needle, thinned it a little and a few drops of flow improver as well. All acrylic primers just seem to come out splotchy for me and don't smooth out as well.
@@Chilly_Billy I said I was toying with moving away from lacquers not acrylics. I'm interested in moving to acrylics. That is just more for health reasons
Why hairspray?
When you go over it with a wet brush, it reactivates, allowing the paint on top to be removed. It's used as a weathering technique.
its water soluable so it'll reactivate and removes the paint layer above
@@bruhboyb3812 Thats pretty cool.
I bet you cried all day on January 20th 😂😂😂
