@@JustinMenhenett yeah, pretty sure the full gain is right at the end. It just gets more saturated at that point, not really more gain to speak of. It's a gainy boy for sure
Not really my sound that hi gain american metal amps stuff, but i actually really liked the low to medium gain sounds on it. Thinking it might sound good with my baritone
Like the real deal, to tighten the bass on high gain it needs on its input a high pass below 100-150 Hz, or either an overdrive pedal with a mid boost. You might enjoy it better that way 😄 Regardless, to get this kind of Recto or 5150 sound I think the Movall Jumpspace offers more options (it's a clone of the MI Audio Tube Zone).
Sounds versatile and you did sime great Dave Coversdale riffage too (see what I did there🤔😲🤣🙄), however its not for me, it seemed a bit frayed around the edges. As someone who started out with distortion pedals from the 1980s (in the 1980s) and 1990s (still have a few of them), it lacks their clarity (if that makes sense), the originals also dont often need a noise gate. In more recent times, my common or garden Roland Cube amps emulate such pretty well too (although their noise gate feature can be intrusive, e.g. the roll on volume intro for Foxy Lady). Having written all of that though, for the money if a guitarist is just starting out, it does have a lot of range, ideal for the younger riffmeister me thinks 🤔👍✌️✌️
@@musoseven8218 yeah, it's definitely not a perfect emulation but also it's also an incredibly affordable pedal. It could definitely be a young metalheads gateway into bigger and better things 👍
I have the Plexi Crunch (Marshall) and the XTC (Bogner Ecstasy) pedals and they're trash. The Plexi has this constant hiss, far more than other dirt pedals with much more gain and it's basically unusable. The XTC sounded amazing in demos but mine is defective and I can hear something rattling around inside. So much time had passed between buying it and trying it, I was unable to return it. That's the only reason I haven't picked up this one and the Steel Singer, very much looking forward to this review, maybe you'll convince me to give it another shot!

Good Friday evening dear friend. Very nice presentation of another pedal from Nux for very reasonable money. Greetings Pavel CZ.👍👍👍
@@CZPavel-c1p cheers Pavel, definitely another interesting one from NuX
Not my normal sound but when you were demonstrating the base control I have to admit it sounded pretty good
@@jfiery me either, I'm usually a much lower gain kind of guy. I really liked the low gain mode 🤣
Did we get full gain? Looked like 3 o’clock and then the Master cranked? (Though I’m not sure what more it would’ve told us anyway, in fairness!)

@BudgetPedalChap oh yeah. That lowest gain sound was really lovely...almost dare I say it a 'Jazz' tone

Very interesting stuff. I've not seen that Movall, I'll have to check it out. Cheers 👍
I’ve been keeping an eye out for one of those but not seen them in the UK

For me this is a big miss. I had a dual rec for a time in the early 00’s. Sounded nothing like this
Fair enough, I don't have enough experience with Mesa to be able to make judgement. Thanks for the feedback gent 👍

Sounds fizzy and horrible

That's a rectifier 😆
I have this pedal and it sounds nothing like this. Thank God.
