Happy new year folks! Here's a short clip of myself and the amazing Ninet Tayeb recording vocals for the song "Pariah" from the new album in progress, written especially for us to record as a duet. Co-producer / engineer Paul Stacey is also in the clip, filmed by Lasse Hoile earlier this week. More studio stuff soon!

Played it almost 50 times till now. It makes me feel so amazingly heavy. Sad, yet powerful.. Steven you are god. Hand cannot erase, the Raven that refused to sing, and now this... Waiting for the album.

For whatever reason I found this to be the perfect clip to listen to as I am looking out a window, to fresh snow on the ground here in Ohio. Ironically the chills I have going through my system right now have nothing to do with the frigid imagery I see in front of me but rather the song. Great job once again Steven!

I love the combination of the two of them - Steven's voice has always felt kind of understated, a bit detatched, or perhaps vulnerable, and then Ninet comes in and from the first note you can hear that very human passion in her voice. Awesome.

Firstly, I don't know if anyone has seen her pictures but Ninet is absolutely gorgeous. Secondly, listening to her singing is the equivalent of having 10k eargasms.

Steven make a big progress with his vocals work. If you listen to albums 15 years ago, you will notice an incredible improvement in vocals.

Once again, the magic's here. Only a few seconds of new S'W track and it draws you in, immediately. What an ecstatic sensation with Ninet's voice suddenly floating up and down, leading to a musical climax... ! (*!*) !!!
Since the first time I listen to "Trains", and I felt my soul floating with every single note, I've been searching for, listening for everything Steven musically and magically have touched. No matter the style, the name of the project; since Porcupine Tree and No Man, passing by Insurgentes, Storm Corrosion and more, along with a lot of collaborations, and production works. He is more than a musician, he is an artist, and I am waiting for this album with great impatience, knowing that, once again, it won't disappoint me; knowing that I will love it.

This is my favourite song that Steven has written and Ninet's vocal is incredible.
The one thing i could never understand is how rude people can be. Art takes time and effort. It takes heart and soul to make just one master piece yet there are those who don't take the time to understand there hard work and would rather stomp and spit on what that person had spent so long on creating just because "It's not there type of music." If you don't like it then simply don't watch it. You are wasting your time just to witch hunt them when you could be using that time for something you really enjoy. Every art takes a piece of that person with it and they will present it with arms opened wide yet people are so quick to destroy..

Blackfield is a PROJECT by Steven.. along with PT, Storm Corrosion and others.. just one of his many triumphs.. Blackfield is good but not the best and certainly won't be the last of his superb work. deal with an opinion.. yours is not the only one.

Craig Blundell is a good enough drummer take Marco's place. It will be Guthrie who is missed most. Dave is a fantastic guitarist, but not nearly as good as Govan. I fear this album will suffer due to his absense.

This is so brilliant, I can't help but see this from the perspective of an elderly person rediscovering their love for their life-long partner. And as a 29 year old, it's heart wrenching. Not every bit of the lyrics matches that perspective, but there's quite a bit that does.
