@@bhavpatel-mm7nw Agree 💯%! And back then, with that Ultra Red paint, @Gjeebs paid full price in the amount of $58,630 (all fees included) before tax/registration. As of this writing, the same POS (doesn't stand for point of sale) is available for purchase on the official Tesla website for only $57,130 (all fees included) at point of sale (after Federal tax credit) before tax/registration. Oh there's more.. now the same Ultra Red POS comes with included FSD software package at the $57,130 price. 🤣

@@crystalwaters513 Hello! I must admit that I haven't test driven the 2024 Model Y - I've driven earlier versions, but not the 2024. Tesla is in the process of refreshing the Model Y - I imagine that will be released early in 2025, and it will be very similar to the refreshed Model 3 (they're built on the same platform), so that's definitely one to watch. I think the Model Y refresh will be extraordinary. Enjoy!

Go and test drive a BMW i4. Kicks the crap out of this car, and no missing features. Sure it's a bit more, but you get all the QoL improvements missing from this car.

My Ultra Red M3P arrives Monday! Jealous of your white seats, I had to get black to get the fed rebate.
I intentionally chose black seats because I thought the white looked too flamboyant. Batman and Rambo would choose black.

How much is your monthly payment? I'm curious because I'm thinking about getting the performance but also considering the standard since it's very affordable.
Black seats are a lot better for perforated. I initially ordered a SR Ultra Red with white and switched to the M3P Ultra Red and chose black seats after seeing my friends Lexus IS500 with white perforated seats after a year.
Take it on the road up to Canyon Lake! Love that drive.

All us tesla fans let’s just agree that despite what Tesla says, this is the ludicrous model three, the refreshed M3 is called the Highland, and the future refresh of the model Y is the Juniper. Also, the new cheaper Tesla car is called the “Model 2” until we know better. I think these names are very useful to communicate the specific model being talked about, even if Tesla doesn’t agree!

Congratulations! My M3P has not come in yet. I'm such a cheapskate, I did not order the red at $2000. But, I did order 4 18" UP03 wheels with Michelin Sport A/S 4 tires for our long winter season.
That ultra red is the best color.

I think the UP03 wheels are the ONLY wheels I'd get.
I financed my MYP back in 2022 for 70k (included everything w/o tax credit) and currently I put almost 60k miles on it and has resale value down to about $25,000. 😅 However, I still love my tesla and will keep it untill I put 300k miles on it! The service I had for my performance was the rear tire change... 😊
For a first-time EV shopper, I think I'll look into a 2022 Model 3. However, I'm still on the fence about buying new.

@@RedvinezYGO Or.... it was just the fact that the car started out $3,000 under the cutoff for the price of the vehicle, +$2,000 for the Ultra Red paint, +$1,500 for the white interior. Had nothing to do with his income, it's just his selections were flat out not eligible. That's why now if you order one, basically any change to the exterior color from the free Stealth Gray makes them essentially $8,500-9,500 color choices, not $1,000-2,000.
@@theElemDragon don’t understand how this refutes what I’m saying, either you spend 8,500+ extra on a paint color or you’re letting people know that you make too much to qualify anyway. Both are a flex in their own way.
I can afford the extra $8500 but chose the gray + black seats becuase that’s the color I like and just so happened to have the tax credit.

The white with black interior tinted looks real good to. Shame they don't offer a blended white partial premium like the base has available.

It's such a good looking car especially with that killer color combo. Can't wait to hear how you tint and accessorize it.
I recently got the red/black myself. I wish I could have budgeted the white but the black still rocks and the Alcantara is wonderful. The pinpoint steering is best I've ever experienced. I forget I'm driving and feel just one with the road. Ride isn't as soft as my RWD/LR test drives but that's probably part of the give and take of driving a sports edition.
13:16 I'm sure others have mentioned this, but just in case: New brakes have to be "bedded" in. This process transfers material from the pad onto the rotor and allows the brakes to grab better than on the bare metal. You can help this process along by doing a few relatively hard stops from about 45 MPH or so. Just make sure to do this somewhere safe.

The front side air intakes on the front bumper are “not” for brake cooling. It’s part of an air flow management system to provide stability to help keep the front end planted to the ground at higher speeds.

Had the interior weather strip wrinkle on my 21 MP3. Tesla said it would flatten out. It didn't, at all, 3 years later. My 24 is perfection
Congrats! I'll have to take a close look at my seals now that you pointed that out. I also had a "no brakes" moment the first time I hit some traffic and had to hit the brakes. Was wondering if the pads weren't bedded. I'm going to put it in track mode with no regen and see how they work.

The reason your brakes didn't work at first was because the pads had not traveled toward the rotor yet.
The first one or two brake pumps moved the pads toward the rotor, before the pads are able to press on and apply friction to the rotor.
This is true on all new cars off the assembly line, and anytime you get a brake job. That's why one of the first things you do after getting a brake job is pump the brakes a couple of times.
Normal ICE vehicles 99.9% of the time don't have this issue because they have been driven and stopped using the brake.
Teslas and other EV's which use regen braking don't use the brakes to stop (unless configured), so likely nobody had ever pumped the brakes on your car before, which means the pads weren't yet seated.
For safety, pumping the brakes a couple of times should be on a checklist by Tesla employees before delivery, or by owners upon taking delivery.

It would be great if you could compare the adaptive suspension with that on your Macan at some point as a good way to determine comfort level, suspect it will be 7/10 compared to Porsche 9/10 with air and PASM. Enjoy the new car congrats Clive
If you watch the video with Jay Leno and the Tesla engineers, they say the only way to get break cooling is from air from underneath the vehicle and that doesn't even matter since you don't use the breaks that much anyway.
I'm so glad I watched this. I didn't consider the brake bedding until you talked about it, and read some of your comments. I pulled up a video on RUclips...and its super simple in-Service mode.
Sadly, I'm still waiting for my LR Model 3...been on order since Jan 11th. (White/white interior is why). Hopefully it will happen sometime this month. Fingers crossed.
For the Brakes issue you need to turn off that option at 11:09 "Apply brakes when Regenerative braking is limited".

@@museh31 If you're in CA or on the west coast USA, you'll probably get it pretty quick. I'm on the east coast, ordered in mid-late May, so it took almost 2.5 months. I think they've caught up a bit on orders also, so you probably won't have to wait as long.

I am in AZ also, just test drove new 3 , LOVE it, great quiet, ride, but the AC never really blows cold, the air volume is great, but the air was never really cold. Did I get an off unit or is this common. Drove Long range AWD, my polestar 2 is way colder air.

Bummer, This car was so nice, wanted to order the performance, was hoping the performance had performance AC chill mode also. It is the only thing wrong with the car. It is so nice felt great, but summer in AZ with just OK air. Now I am on the fence. Mach e not much better, Lyric blew colder, my polestar is a freezer. Trying Lucid now, but fun factor the Tesla , pretty sure unbeatable

Some of the ride quality is due to the light wheels. When I got lightweight forged wheels for my Model Y, the ride quality improved considerably.

Congratulations on your new T3P. Love the color combo. I just received my CT order email but with no test drive, no auto pilot, no FSD and no Gateway I might let it go. Visited the Tesla store to sit in the CT but all the pros have been fired and the new employee has not been trained on the CT yet.

Don’t feel so bad, I live in Fremont near the Tesla factory and ordered red/blk on the first day 4/23 within 3 hrs of announcement and my delivery date got pushed out to 6/17 - 6/30. Praying it doesn’t get pushed out again!
