Yes, it’s night and day from the Model 3… I knew they were built on the same platform but didn’t think it would make such a difference in driving experience. Getting out of the vehicle is so much easier in the Y! So far I am very happy with getting the bigger car. 🙂
I sold my Santa Fe of less than a 1 year of ownership and took the Model Y deal! Yes I need the rugs because the ones that come with it had me thinking my shoed are this dirty! LOL!
Just picked up our Model Y Friday. It was a disaster! Drove 3.5 hrs to Pensacola. Did get there 30 min early, Waited 2.5 hours before we left. I strongly recommend anyone getting a Tesla, do not use the Pensacola Fla location. Its a warehouse, no where to park, No air condition inside, No customer service. It was just awful all the way around. I know it cant be like this everywhere or Tesla would not be in business.
Dang @ashleyevans9363 sorry to hear about that terrible experience with Tesla. I can’t even complain about mine, it was a cake walk compared to this madness. I would have been 38HOT after that debacle. How are you liking the Model Y so far?
@ipro3838 so sorry to hear that! But i totally get it, like I said my experience with them were night and day from the first Lease. Hopefully they continue to build a strong service base for the customers because that’s crucial as evidenced by losing your business and anyone you would’ve recommended.
Model Y is nice and good deals going on right now. Be careful with the leases because you’re capped at 10k to 15k mileage limits. Yes, it’s way more affordable but I just feel weird driving a lease. All my cars are pay to own typical loan. Though, I will say when I own an ev one day I will never keep it long term or beyond 6+ yrs due to reliability of the battery among other things that will go bad. Ev are still expensive vehicles after warranty.
Yes, the deals are amazing right now ! So glad I got it. You are so right about the mileage limits, I don’t drive much so I elected the 10k miles with my Model 3 lease and went over about 1k because I took a road trip…so I’m of the overages to watch out this time. Thanks for the advice though, super helpful!
@@chasxreacts155 I think they are referring to the miles per year you elect to drive on leased vehicles. If you select 10k miles your payment is reduced a couple hundred bucks. But if you go over the mileage on a lease, for Tesla it’s .25cent per mile over the cap. Mileage caps are pretty standard for leased vehicles industry wide.
Hi Jenae - I getting ready to return my Model3 in the next few months. How do you get the lease return incentives you got? Also how was the lease return process and inspection? You mentioned you got a $500 credit for the wear & tear among other things. I worried about some wear & tear on my car.
Hi Michael I got a phone call out of the blue from a Tesla advisor with the incentive deal. Seems like they were trying to keep my business as well as move a ton of inventory at the time. Because when I picked up my car it was a madhouse with cars filling the lot. And they kept trying to get me to pickup the Model Y earlier. The lease return process was super accelerated. The time from returning the 3 to picking up the Y was too fast for the inspection team to get me in to do the inspection so they sent me a PDF guide on what I needed to do and what pictures I had to provide. I believe there’s a link on the Tesla website with that PDF. I’ll try and add it if I can find it. Either way my return wasn’t normal. But the “virtual inspection” was easy. Once they actually inspected it I had to pay for one tire wear was too much but the credit covered it. I dropped the car off same day as picking up the new one and they just had me sign a paper verifying the mileage and that was it. I got the final bill like 2 weeks later with that tire charge etc. Hope this helps.
I wanted to try the higher of the ground vehicle because I occasionally have back issues and getting in and out was a struggle in the Model 3. I also regularly take an elderly family member for errands and such and she was struggling to get out the car too. But I did consider staying with the 3 to save the cash.
You’re right I bought my model three year and a half ago. I didn’t get all notifications that I’m getting now for my wife’s Y do this do that? Do this do this constantly? It wasn’t like that when I bought my three year and a half ago but times of change I guess.
Yes, they were horrible the first time with communication! It was crickets from them the entire process and this time I actually spoke to a person several times. Even when I called in to them. Night and day experience! Hopefully this is across the board and not just because I was a returning customer they were trying to keep… if I have any issues we’ll see.
My bad, thanks for pointing that out. Coming from the Tesla Model 3 2021. I thought this Mode Y was refreshed with the extras that Weren’t in my previous 3. I’ll correct the Title asap!
Just paid $1151 for six months with State Farm. But remember insurance is specific based on individual circumstances and needs so take that as you will.
Love the Y it is so much bigger and better worth the wait.

Their horrible customer service prevented me from buying a Model Y, which I am still not happy about.

@@IAmJobOptional I appreciate the help, have a good one.
Did you buy the model Y or did you decide to lease it as well?
I leased it as well.
I’ve been thinking about getting an EV and I low key like the MY
I’ll tell you so far I Love it better than the Model 3 so far. Really impressed with it! I’ll give a detailed review soon.
Why you ain’t get the new Model 3 with the led lights , back seat TV screen etc. the same Model Y comes out late or early next Year.

Love the y for space but I am a model 3 person all the way lol I am trying to save for my 2024 model 3 🙏
@@disneyinfonow yeah the Y got me spoiled now. We’ll see what the $$ looks like for us in 2027. Happy savings to you 👍🏽

Can we get a price breakdown and review when you can thanks!
Absolutely!

Yeah the new Model Y code name “ Jupiter” comes out late this year or Early next year
The Y hasn’t been refreshed!
Noted, thanks for pointing this out for me. I’ve updated my title a well 🙂
How much do you pay for the insurance?
Just paid $1151 for six months with State Farm. But remember insurance is specific based on individual circumstances and needs so take that as you will.
Are you leasing the y
Yes I’m leasing it.
don’t buy. elon is in panic mode dropping car prices and screwing all existing owners
I’ll decide in three years when this lease is up, who knows maybe the competition will make more sense financially for me to leave.
this is not for as morans !!!!!
Okay… 👌🏾
You can’t return Teslas…
Actually I was returning my first lease with Tesla at the end of my lease early.
Then what do you do when your lease ends?
@@CoolTatts do you mean what is the process when the lease ends or what will I do when this lease ends?
