Bro you make me remember why I love being an entrepreneur, I am 44 and semi retired as i did pretty well with a company after 12 years of working my a$$ off and now don't have to work day to day, but this video made me smile so much. Why? The line "You use teflon paper to seperate, but I don't have that, so parchment paper it is" anyone reading this PLEASE learn from this man, what you do not have is sometimes a blessing. I have wasted more money since i "made it" and have more excuses why I can't do things then when I was broke. Use what you have, make the best of it, and love the process. You will never remember the money you make or the crap you buy with it, you WILL remember the passion you had when times were lean. Way to be Reyes, thanks for making my night.
Great words James. I am hitting 49 and I feel the same way you feel. Did the same with $$ and tried to blame the world for my failures. But now that I was given the opportunity to take charge of my life and begin a family, I look back and remember the trials and errors that made me the man I am today. This kid Reyes is on point. Made me smile a whole lot too!

Great Vid! I started the same way but only using a 10" cutter. I was homeless and lucky enough to couch surf (at the time), and saved up for the small cutter and sold decals at an artesian well, where I live and where a large population of the state community goes to get clean, cold, underground spring water. eventually I was able to pay a bit of rent to someone to stay there. I saved for the medium cutter. I think it is the 28" or 32" cutter. I not only did decals and shirts (SAVED FOR A HEAT-PRESS BUT STARTED BY USING AN IRON!), but also ENTIRE vehicle designs and themes! One of the cars I did, ended up in a Seahawks fan parade and the owner was invited to Seahawk home game events at Hawk's Alley which is where super-fans and player families hang out to tailgate. I also use US Cutter. Now I am delving into airbrushing and experimenting with ways to combine them. Such as: I go to a lot of fairs, carnivals, parades, biker rallies etc etc etc. (basically any city event i can), and now that I have an awning, I pay the rent fee to set up my 10'x10' space at these events (usually $100-$150 a weekend, but I used to set up a carrying case and a small sign on a sidedwalk nearest the event and basically pan-handle it) and sell pre-made t-shirts and decals while doing face-painting (which there is almost always a line for and I can Use my Cutter to make my own Mylar fcae-painting stencils for fast and efficient profit). If I can get off the streets as a homeless man by doing this anyone can make a profit! So awesome you shared your journey! I wish I could have as well!
Very inspirational. I tried the t-shirt business and I know it's a lot of hard work when you do the screen printing. Washing the screens, cleaning, the chemical smell, burning the image...etc. all for just one design. I felt sad on that video when you went to the hospital and your girl left you. Dang! Hopefully you end up making $5-10K A MONTH one day and those that weren't there to support you when you were at your worst...A LA VERGA! Love how you hustle, struggle, and yet always find a way. You got a good personality! Keep at it homie!
Homie, you explained everything in this video that it took me a month or more to research. I started to lose steam, but you got me pumped, bro! Thanks!

Up at 2:00 am thinking about how I’m gonna make my own decals for a business I have been thinking about starting for a while now and this vid is awesome Reyes thanks for the advice and guidance
I still remember the very first time I tried setting up my graphtec cutter, it took me 2 days to cut my first design, I sent pics to my whole family 😂 because I was so excited. 3 years later and I'm getting ready to get my 3rd graphtec the 48 inch to be exact. Getting into this tipe of business has been the best desicion. Good luck to all of you!
@@tyreecelooney5679 you should be able to. I think getting a bigger cutter is a smart choice, the 1st cutter I got was a 15 inch, if I could go back in time I would get a bigger one instead. I love making car decals since is more profitable and decal vinyl is way cheaper. Good luck to you!!
1:10 “I’ma try not to read the instructions because instructions are for chumps!” 2:47 “I read the manual” You killing me Reyes!! lol love your persona.

Blessings brother. I’ve been in the T-shirt business awhile. Always had people working and doing the footwork thanks to this video I can actually start practicing myself
Great video. I had an airbrush & screen printing shop years ago, amazing how different it's become in the last 30 years. Getting ready to finally retire from Fire & EMS and going to get back to shirts again... Thanks for the video!!
My question it's why you dislike something that someone is willing to teach you his skills for you to start your business or even be your career. I just don't get it, why there is people who don't wanna see other better themselves. Quick hating and get to cutting. Reyes you the man loco.! Keep up the right attitude. GOD Bless
Update : I purchased this machine over 6 months ago and it’s been a treasure 🙌🏼 You will need patience to learn the program and it’s definitely a trail and error process .

just remember if something is not working for your business try different strategies or a new idea in general also don't get in too deep in a idea that's not working out, but don't give up a big majority of people gain that spark for their business ideas and loose it half way keep sparking flint and you will soon have a fire and then you will be able to expand your horizons.
Thanks so much man. Not sure if you made this for me but I bought the us cutter about a month ago and have been cutting off the page and wasting so much vinyl. Your the best Reyes keep grinding!
thank you. you really help me out if i had teachers like you i would aced every class ive been so scared to do anything an ive had this for over a year

U have INSPIRED me to make this journey into the tshirt biz-niz. U alright, Reyes! I dig ur straight up, no nonsense way of approaching ur task at hand. Keep up the FABulous work!
ryles the way you start and present a video is excellet. with a good way im 60 and like your videos ive been in business for 25 years but 2019 was the first year I started studying the stock market and what sells and what don t ive been working on my t shirts for about 6 months I plan to havea small website as most all of mine are originals ..have a great 2020.
I couldn’t understand you when you told us what program you like to use to editing. Corold dram? 6:30 also what program does the vinyl cutter come with/ recommend?
Good lookin out. Im going to recommend INKSCAPE software. Its FREE and open source drawing software. Zero cost and tons of tutorials out there to help you step up your design game! Thanks for your videos. !!
When i was 18 i bought a vinyl cutter and busted my ass to make decals. Within 6 months i was making decals for all the pop Warner, baseball, soccer leagues and local schools. I was bringing in about 3 grand a month and i did this after work. But i was working like 19 hour days every day. Then i got a good career job and stopped. But i always felt good doing it because i was creating awesome designs and people respected my work. I even got knocked off. People were stealing my designs amd selling them for less.
Reyes.... been doing shirts for myself... I don’t do social media or anything like that, RUclips is the only media I do but anyways what I was trying to get at is that I been pressing my basketball shorts and work out shorts as well... people love it and the yoga pants too for some girls ... just thought I’d give u a thought on trying to expand your stuff! 🙌🏾 I love your attitude and goofiness lol... we could be good compás working together or cracking jokes Also I like your RE logo , how about you integrate a T in between them! Another idea , I do a lot of htv and have a lot of scraps... trust me they come in handy! .... I’m not sure if you or other people have tried this but everytime I cut a big design I keep the clear sticky film on the side. Reason is when I have an odd shape scrap or a small 3” piece the cutter won’t work BUTTTT if you grab the big pieces of clear sticky films and make an extension then u can use that ! You just have to put a sticky film on top and on bottom so it doesn’t stick to the wheel. If you don’t understand what I’m saying I could possibly make a video.
5799015 blanks from Walmart, rue 21 sometimes Ebay and Amazon, 85% of the time the girls already have there pants and bring them to me . I get a lot of girls who want simple things on the gymshark blanks and normally just charge less when clothing is already bought.
5799015 thanks! Also to whoever reads this.... I also do a lot of motocross jerseys and some want the decals really close to the shoulders and if your been pressing for a while then you should know that the neck raise won’t allow the press to fully press the surrounding area due to its rise. I normally use an iron to press that design and it works just fine as long as your familiar with the texture of knowing when the htv has grabbed correct. Another tip since I speak of motorcross, race style t shirts I been making they ask for the sponsors to be on one side of the shirt and usually 17-19” up and down and my press is only a 15x15, the method I’ve been using is iron everything on first then press after and they come out looking good. One last thing..... the hardest shirt material I’ve ever had a problem pressing is the wife beater style material... anyone have good luck or tips on this?
very happy to see this i also have my own business of all kind of stickers i desgin all type of stickers on pkotter machine i m crazy about it. i have 20 years my expirnce in this stickers field nasir stickers
So glad I came across this video, I am actually just in the process of starting a T-Shirt, mugs and undies logo business and this was a perfect thing to see on the steps I should take , I have a page up and my new business name is called "Funky Prints Inc cheers.
Adobe suite is fairly easy to crack or get a cracked version (free), I don't like the counterfeit side of things but it's a way of getting a good start then when you finally make a bit off profit then you can pay/payback for the service

Hopefully you end up making $5-10K A MONTH one day and those that weren't there to support you when you were at your worst...A LA VERGA! Love how you hustle, struggle, and yet always find a way. You got a good personality! Keep at it homie!
AnimationMethods he’s def making 5-10k a month now! 👌🏾
invest into a dtg machine..
Homie, you explained everything in this video that it took me a month or more to research. I started to lose steam, but you got me pumped, bro! Thanks!
I've been running a contracting business for a while. I like to think of myself a honest contractor. And I like how your honest, takes you a long way. You know the saying, there's a lot of bad people out there. Well, there's exponential amount of good people out there too. Good luck my friend. 👍
Thank you for this videos i just bought the heat press and vinyl cutter all thanks to Recycling bottles and cans, Took me 2 months to save up but i was able to buy them. Thanks again you motivated me to get my hustle on.!

I never met this dude in real life and just came across his videos today. But he seems like one of those guys you would always be cool with😎. The vibe he gives off is cool, and I learned something new today. I'm pretty sure you have tons of experience in doing what you do which makes you even more cooler because you are sharing your knowledge. People like you brother here will always be blessed in life. Crazy part of it all is I wasn't even searching for this content. God puts people together for a reason.
I’m new at this, looking for so good advice. I’m looking a 53 inch vinyl cutter machine on amazon. Will I be able to make shirts and decals for cars.
@@tyreecelooney5679 I get my materials and equipment from uscutter.com
Saul Evaristo thanks a lot I’m on there site now.
Saul Evaristo Can i use this to cut window tint?

I couldn’t understand you when you told us what program you like to use to editing. Corold dram? 6:30 also what program does the vinyl cutter come with/ recommend?
Stepha Holic that part. I started reading the comments for the same reason.
Coral Draw is the program :)
Chris thank you!
Chris Corel draw to be exact.
Stepha Holic check out Affinity designer
“I even gave it a kiss” 😆😂

What's a your opinion about flexisign pro and easy cut???
Please directly replay me 😊
When i was 18 i bought a vinyl cutter and busted my ass to make decals.
You’re a cool guy 😎 definitely nice to see someone be that sincere making RUclips videos. Keep them coming bro.
Thank you Reyes!!!! This video is packed with so much information!!! You are the bomb!!!!
Reyes.... been doing shirts for myself... I don’t do social media or anything like that, RUclips is the only media I do but anyways what I was trying to get at is that I been pressing my basketball shorts and work out shorts as well... people love it and the yoga pants too for some girls ... just thought I’d give u a thought on trying to expand your stuff! 🙌🏾
I love your attitude and goofiness lol... we could be good compás working together or cracking jokes
Also I like your RE logo , how about you integrate a T in between them!
Hey Cruz, where do you get your yoga pants?
5799015 blanks from Walmart, rue 21 sometimes Ebay and Amazon, 85% of the time the girls already have there pants and bring them to me . I get a lot of girls who want simple things on the gymshark blanks and normally just charge less when clothing is already bought.
@@Factory928AC thanks...keep grinding
Let Go I personally do not. I do not know how to edit videos nor have I tried lol
"I even gave it a kiss"
Nice set-up. Most of the work is for finding customers.

im using illustrator... cs6 u only pay once for it...
Don't upgrade. Adobe is now a monthly subscription deal.
tpb
Adobe suite is fairly easy to crack or get a cracked version (free), I don't like the counterfeit side of things but it's a way of getting a good start then when you finally make a bit off profit then you can pay/payback for the service
Got my copy for free over 2 years ago :P
Been researching for my business and found a heat press I’m going to buy and it’s the one in your video! It must be the one.

Those two videos should get you pointed in the right direction as they are related to some skills you'll need to create vector art for a vinyl cutter. :)
Thank you I’m about to go there ASAP
So I went to watch... Thanks again btw... I just can’t figure out how to cut from it😩😩😩
i believe after you get your outline, you have to export the files to an .STL file and import it into your cutting/plotting software.
But Reyes!!!!..........I found your channel a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love with you and the channel. Keep up the good work man! keep hustling.
First time I saw you, you are birlliaint. thank you for your enthusiasm
