Linda, you do know they're still touring. I saw them right before covid hit. And now I think they're hitting the casinos doing concerts there. The original founder Otis is still with them as the only original member. Check them out, do a search for their website and see if they're coming near you. Otis has to be in his 80's so you better hurry. By the way, the Commodores and Air Supply are also touring, check them out as well. All of them were great shows!
Grew up with Motown music in the 60's. In 1970 I was fortunate enough to see the Temptations at the Oakland Colosseum in Oakland CA. for my 15th birthday! What a great group in such an unforgettable time in our music history! Thank you for sharing this video.

The documentary about them that aired on NBC is fantastic. Leon's portrayal of David is unbelievably good. "Ain't nobody coming to see you Otis" (Leon improvised that line) Great video Chris.

Thanks Whittdoc!!!! Most know Ruffin had some MAJOR ISSUES, but it doesn't take away from his talent. At least I don't think so. The song "My Girl" was played NOT ONCE, but TWICE at my daughter's "Wedding", and she and her father Danced to it!!!! That alone makes me GRATEFUL for David Ruffin!!!!

Another interesting video. I never knew that he met such a tragic end until I watched a documentary about him a couple years ago. By any chance do you plan on visiting the graves of Henry Ford and his wife Clara they are both buried in The Ford Cemetery in Detroit but their son Edsel Ford who passed away at the young age of 43 from stomach cancer is buried in same cemetery as David Ruffin. I have never seen anyone do a video on his grave before.
