I got my Himalayan as a bit of a palate cleanser, going from big, powerful multi-cylinder bikes to a rattly low-power single is a definite change of pace. Also if I could start over on my Himalayan journey I'd probably have gone for a Classic 350, I do ride unpaved roads from time to time but never on properly gnarly terrain, and overall I prefer the ergos of the Classic.

No point having a bike that doesn't do what you want from it... Should have kept the Bandit after the work you did making it pretty. It makes sense to keep it as a "second" bike if you can afford to. Oh, well done on the 2k+ subs too 🙂
There are a lot of bikes I want to try. I'm trying to get myself into a position where I can swap and change every year or 2. This 2nd bike will help me.
There are too many great motorcycles, especially on the used market, to settle. Life's too short. I remember you complaining about it way back. Get yourself something that you're excited about or try out big pez's g650gs if you haven't already. I've got two of em now because I have a problem😅
The Himalayan is not an all rounder which is why I have two other bikes. A Honda 650 and Bandit 600S, but I only take them out on dry roads so as not to ruin the cosmetics which are mint. I recently bought a 2022 Himalayan just before Christmas and winter is the best time to buy a bike with dealers offering discounts. I saved £450. If you wait until summer prices will rise so you'll pay more and remember that we get some lovely warm and dry days in Easter. I advise getting a nippy little sports bike for the summer and keeping the Himalayan for dirty winter roads when speed is not an issue. Perhaps a Honda CBR650 with 94bhp will suit your requirements or a Yamaha MT-O7. Whatever you choose you will not want to abuse it on salty winter roads or ride it in the rain unless you get caught out by a shower so the Himalayan will still have a purpose in your life.
I loved my mk1 Bandit 600N. I think I'll try a sports tourer next. My heart is naked sports bikes, preferably classic style but I want to be open to different things

There are a lot of bikes I want to try. I'm trying to get myself into a position where I can swap and change every year or 2. This 2nd bike will help me.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs that sounds pretty EPIC indeedy mate 🙂
Maybe the new Himi ?
Maybe one day.
Maybe you could hire a bike for summer. It might be £50 per day but that's £100 of fun in anyone's book.
Where can I hire bikes from? I've looked in places like Scotland. Saves me riding there 😆
🤣@@EpicAdamMotovlogs
I think you got carried away a bit there, claiming the UK has at least 5 days of summer. We get 4 days and that is it.
Sometimes you have to chase that extra day. It could be anywhere
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs go searching the sunshine.
There are too many great motorcycles, especially on the used market, to settle. Life's too short. I remember you complaining about it way back. Get yourself something that you're excited about or try out big pez's g650gs if you haven't already. I've got two of em now because I have a problem😅
I'm getting a summer bike and in a couple of years, I'll trade both bikes in. Could possibly get another 2 or just the 1.
Buy a summer bike now. If you buy a summer bike in the summer, the price will be higher.
That's a good point, but unfortunately I can't afford one right now. Hopefully, I will get one around June.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs The Honda Hornet 600 form the late 1990s maybe?
Oops sorry Adam, I did the unsubscribe...Quickly resubscribe thing there by accident! 😮🤣👍
I remember you mentioning a certain bike, so time will tell if I'm in the loop!!! 😉👍
Have you been to the ABR Festival before dude & are you attending this year? 🤔
I've mentioned so many bikes 😆 I change my mind every 5 minutes, but you can't get much more for your money with the bike I'm thinking about.
I haven't been to the abr but I want to go
You’ve been talking about getting rid of it for a while maybe it’s time to go 👋 I think if you get a second bike the Himalayan may gather dust and you potentially won’t get the use out of it as much as you would’ve liked
I still like it. I'll be happy keeping it as a winter bike for a couple years. I have a cunning plan
I'm 99% sure I know what the bike will be, but I won't spoil it.
It is the one you saw me mention on another channel. They are good bikes and don't cost much
That is the crux of the matter. There IS no one bike that does everything we want. It's why so many people have more than one. I guess you have to decide what is most important to you. Or have more than one. 😁
That's the plan. I'm saving to get a 2nd bike for the summer
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs I'm saving to do the CBT again, never mind a bike. Nearly there 💰
Good times ahead. I lived last summer so much!.. I hope it's a good one once again 👍
@@exeterrider that's because of Metey 😉
You better have 2 bikes because if you get rid of the Himalayan you will eventually miss it.
I am. I have a 2nd bike coming & keeping the himalayan. I love exploring the lanes.
Thanks for watching
I couldn't ride a Himalayan just too slow and asthmatic.
Slow and asthmatic but fun on country lanes
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs I would be very anxious riding one on any other roads. You could well be tailgated by trucks, buses, tractors, mobility scooters .........
