I fitted a TEC cam to mine. It also has a freer flowing exhaust and air intake. I am guessing this adds about 5bhp. It has made the bike noticeably livelier and I fitted a 16t sprocket which it pulls easily. So now it will cruise at 70 on the motorway with some in hand for overtaking. I would imagine 17t is too much for a standard bike.
I've been looking at the cam upgrade for my bike. Yes, the 17 front sprocket is a little high. On the open road (100kmh), I have no problems with keeping the bike at 100kmh even going up hills. I do have to work the engine and gearbox more. I'm not too worried about it not enough to change back to the 15 tooth.
Hi, I'm unsure on the top speed. At 100Kpm in top gear the engine rpm is around 4100, I wouldn't recommend a 17 tooth front sprocket as the bike has lost alot of low end torque. I am looking at big bore kits to fix that issue. I have just found out about 500cc barrel kits from India so I'm looking in to the cost.
@@ivananda865ccinterceptor I guess you mean the NMW Racing ones. Cost shouldn't be a problem. I think you should worry more about compatibility. People who had these fitted on both the HT and RE unofficial forums have complained about gasket size incompatibilities and other issues which has made me skeptical. Either ways please update on what you decided. Would be nice to know more.
@@samcrdx8016 Hello, Sorry i may be wrong about about the kit. The big bore kit i am looking i believe it's from the UK. I may be wrong. himalayan-tools.com/
Hello there, I do agree, I find it manageable now. I do have to work the engine and gearbox more when going up steep hills. I am looking in to a 500cc barrel upgrade for the near future to sort that out.

Topend difference before and after?

17 Zahn ist zuviel, 16 Zahn geht noch wenn du nicht mehr als 80kg wiegst.
