- "The first full length album by Alexisonfire completely embodies the sound of late teens and early 20's. Full of dumb confidence and lacking in concentration. Hundreds of parts and riffs strung together in to a fun little hodge podge. We were living and writing freely. Sometimes too much freedom isn't always a good thing." - George Pettit
Alexisonfire sat down on camera at Dine Alone HQ to chat about each release and their favourite AOF moments, album by album.

Episode 2 - Watch Out!
Episode 3 - Crisis
Episode 4 - Old Crows/Young Cardinals
Episode 5 - Farewell Tour
Hailing from St. Catharines, Alexisonfire rose up out of the Southern Ontario underground in late 2001, to become one of the most successful indie bands in Canada. The band’s success also reached far beyond Canada’s borders. AOF released four hugely successful studio albums, Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009). Crisis debuted at #1 on the Top 200 Soundscan chart (Canada), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals debuted at #2, and charted at #9 on the US Billboard Independent Album chart. Watch Out helped earn the band New Group of the Year at the 2004 JUNO Awards. Their first 3 albums achieved Platinum certification in Canada while Old Crows / Young Cardinals reached Gold certification. The band also topped charts and graced several notable music magazine covers internationally (Kerrang, Blunt, Big Cheese, Canadian Musician, Exclaim! ). AOF’s sold-out 10th Year Anniversary Farewell tour in December 2012 touched down on four continents in 24 days, illustrating how meaningful the band still is to their legion of fans around the world.

my favorite AOF Album
Definitely teared up during the music video part. Without that video I would of probably never heard of them. This cd means so much to me. Thank you for this.
This is my favorite Album of any band of all time. Especially Alexisonfire
Favorite song of all time: Adelleda
These guys make being in a band look really easy, like 'as soon as we started a band we were (mostly) just out of high school, yet we were all exceptional songwriters and we recorded an album that everyone loved and we toured and had heaps of people come to our shows.' Or maybe it was just that easy for them, Idk.
"Wade met this guy online" as all good stories start.
Pulmonary Archery video on Much Music when I was early teenager was the first time I listen to Alexisonfire, then i understood what means "love at first sight".
Thank you for your music. Love.
Best days of my life, being in college and having that album on at pretty much every house party aha. Damn, I can't believe it's been like 9 years since I first heard you.
The only band ever.
Early to mid 2000's was epic for music I hope the sound from that era lives on forever.
Massive shivers down my spine.
frfr
OH MY LORD JUST PLEASE COME BACK
Guess what?
Hearing Pulmonary Archery on MuchMusic changed my view of music forever. I owe a lot to this album.
Love the band. I was lucky enough to see their farewell tour in Edmonton. Pray to god there is a reunion tour somewhere down the line.
So many memories... I'll never forget that show 0:57-1:07 at Big Buck in St. Catherine's Scene 2003. So much love for Alexis...10 years later and 10 years older nothing has changed
pulmonary archery such an amazing song and video... thank you for the music
Hands down the best AoF album. It was that untamed energy and that eclectic songwriting that really made the band stand out in the first place. So many great memories associated with these songs, too.
agreed
I really hope you guys plan on releasing at least a compilation of show footage. Alexisonfire will always be remembered by their amazing live performances and to not have something that captures that environment, you are cheating all the fans that aren't self-righteous hipsters that sit around with their record players. I want to see George jumping into crowds and Steele's onstage antics, that's what Alexisonfire's legacy will be. I was at the final show in Hamilton and there were plenty of professional videos recording the show, I don't see why releasing that footage would be an issue. Seeing as how I don't have room to set up a record player to enjoy this boxset and since there's only 1000, most of your fans won't ever see it anyway, I guess I'll have to remember AOF from bad quality RUclips videos.
Thanks DineAlone.
Sincerely, an upset AOF fan.
Ive got the chills!
Favorite band! Miss these guys so much. I will never forget the first time ever seeing them was the first show of my first warped tour.
thank you!!!!!... thank you... so stoked for this...
Pulmonary Archery best song, best vid. God I miss you guys..
Adelleda is fan freaking tastic ! Glad someone mentioned that tune.
Watching these interviews is inspirational, but also such a downer at the same time. The idea that you could start a band and be playing 300 shows a year in the formative years in today's music scene is such a pipe dream. Those days were something special
ikwym but its good to have hope.
This is amazing! thank you for this AOF!
I joined a band with some friends circa 2004 where we played Pulmonary Archery in the studio. I did George’s part and I wanted so badly to be like him I even had a yellow shirt like his. Good times.
oh man the feels…so good
Absolutely amazing!
love it :( miss these guys like crazy
Love this!
I remember watching these guys in St Catharines, The Hideaway, back when I was in college. Great memories :)
I remember seeing Pulmonary Archery for the first time on The Wedge. The video ended and I sat speechless for a while, my first thought... “these guys are gonna be huge”.
damn!!!!!!! this is amazing!
I went to the school on the album. Ferndale Public school, St. Catharines!
The band descriptions from Syracuse/CNY are spot on hahaha
Dallas is rigt about the video. Seeing the Pulmonary Archery video on much music is what got me into the band back then. I'm sure many others can say the same. How awesome is it to hear music that abrasive on mainstream media?
My favourite band Forever!
lol I'm glad that george gives us the details of how the ablum cover art was created or else I would've been wondering ever since the first album even came out
awwww "or you know like a hall" ie. transit union hall. best days ever.
🤘❤️💀🤘
God I miss you guys
great things never last along as you want them too.
S/T is by far my favorite
Anddddddd Im old..
I seriously wish all the albums will be available individually on Vinyl. Honestly I only want to buy "Alexisonfire" and "Watch Out!".
Love the box set / anthology idea from AOF, but it's a double-edged sword. You hope so much that this is just a pre-cursor to some sort of new album or tour, but you know its just not in the cards. However, perhaps the idea of no more AOF makes their music even that much more timeless and enjoyable.
oh, the memories
0 dislikes.. how it should be.
U got a $20,000 grant for a music video for metal band touring their first album?? Its really fucking amazing how different shit is now
😭
ho.ly.fuck. i needthis NOW
:')
Y los subtítulos!?!?...
😢
I remember when i had first saw pulmunary archery and i was like what the fuck! Im a filipino and at that time, you cannot find any cd of alexisonfire anywhere in our country and sorry to admit the i did request and bought burn cd of yours at that time wifi does not exist. So sorry for that im a big fan but that's the only thing i could do at that time. Buying pirated cd's because im too young also and 10 dollars is the biggest thing i had in my pocket at that time
I pray everyday that o get my greasy hands on one of 1000 box sets. If there is a God.
Somebody sneezed and hit the dislike button
