Many thanks for this great video and all the ones you have prepared.
I have Trouts and Koi fish together. Trouts, rainbows, are about two years old. What is the ideal PH for the environment?
Kind Regards
From South Africa
7 is generally the target but since it naturally drops you can increase it to 7.5 when you adjust it.
How many gallons of water do you recommend for each adult trout?
Good morning,
Congratulations on the channel, very informative.
Could you tell me how many liters of water your aquaponics reservoir holds?
Hi Maks, I got a few setups. If you talk about the Holistic it's probably 6m3
@@AquaponicsRevolution Thanks...
We've killed lots of fish in our journey...
Before aquaponics we had many fish tanks, fresh and saltwater.
We recently had a ph spike in our old mature system. Caused by a tomato plant that roots took over the entire bed and caused anerobic zone.
Killed 3 fish before we caught the problem.
Thanks Indica, yes Anaerobic zones is also a point to focus on (to avoid). 👍
Can you tell the size of the air pump with the number of fish and the size of the pond
I recommend to calibrate the water pump size with the growbed volume. Generally 1 to 2x the grow bed volume.
Chlorine poisoning is a good way to kill fish. One time I was doing a 10% top up when I got distracted and forgot about it. Woke up in the morning to find an overflowing tank and dead fish
Thanks Stewart and good point 👍
*Have you ever lost fish in aquaponics? What was the cause?*
