Marss really levelled up his Megaman. Looks like a totally different character than what we saw at Shine.That last stock was checkmate. I don't even think i've seen Yeti or Kameme do that.

One thing about Marss that is amazing is his mental game and bravery
Like when I’m fighting a good joker and they get Arsene, it’s easily to get tilted. Marss just doesn’t give a damn and it paid off.
He got tilted plenty of times. Its only recently he can now control himself and not quit when being overwhelmed.
He starts giving a damn and giving up if he’s down two games.

@Aditya Sharma How? The zero nairo rivalry was barely even a rivalry. Zero had a 50 something tournament streak before nairo finally beat it, both of them using busted characters, especially Diddy which top 8's were full of. Not to mention smash 4 was a campier and slower paced game. That's like someone telling me pb&j is better than pizza which while it is tasty, is not better. Imo

That game 5 was one of the best I've ever seen! Too good with that perfectly timed F smash.
Marss had one of the best high IQ plays in Smash Ultimate by using Crash Bomber on Leo at ledge so he can bait him into using the I frames of regular get up and then charge shot ledge trap at the end.
These matches are insane. This is the most next level gameplay in su I’ve ever seen
Holy crap what a set this was intense as hell. Mars megaman improved a lot. Mkleo is so hard to fight yet mars proved he can do it. These two are great to watch back and forth
Man, noone plays Megaman like Kameme. His play style isjust different. I like Marss's Megaman too though.
Marss’ movement is so crazy. Kameme obviously has the best Megaman, but I haven’t seen this type of shmoovement.

Coming back and watching this on January 1st, 2022. I didn’t watch pro smash when this was played, but I’m glad I got to see it. It’s crazy how the meta completely changed since this. Honestly thank god joker isn’t popular anymore, waiting out meter is such a valid game plan but it makes the game very slow. Solid ass big brain plays by Marss here by all means tho.

In all the matches I watch I rarely see anyone use Arsene Down-B or any of the FE parries. They prefer to use the shield every time, and using it might have changed a fight. Oh well.
yes a badly placed counter can easily get you killed
@@No-XIV-Xion shield is a lot quicker and can be cancelled into a spotdodge, jump, or attack, which makes it drastically safer than using a counter

@@StarForce99 they've nerfed it like two or three times since the game has been out. It jits less consistantly, longer start uo and cool down, and some tech stuff (which was pretty damn good tbh lol). But the fact that he got punished for landing it is fucking dumb. And I think it only does 18%

@@StarForce99 yea it is. But actually I like smash 4 leaf shield more. The concept of it at least. I don't like its start up or how slow the leafs spin. And I'm 50-50 on the leaves staying or going after 1 hit. Reason why is cuz u could do more with it. U could jab lock cuz the leaves dissapeared, which in smash 4 led to damage or death. U could grab (imagine in this game if u could grab with this leaf shield. Same start up and end lag it has now, and no dissapearing leaves.) U could grab ledge trump (which led to a shit ton. especially if u had metal blad its basically a free kill), foostool gimp, and many other things. Also u weren't forced to throw it so it was reletively lagless when coming to ending frames. it was a good idea, just too slow. If they had combined smash 4 leaf shield with ultimates leaf shield, I wouldve been so damn happy.

Mega Man is a robot. He has a lot of components and circuits inside him that makes him pretty heavy compared to most humans. So him being a heavyweight makes sense. Samus however? I have no say.

It's not really worth it. Except fsmash none of his projectiles are going to be advantageous to reflect bc mega mans projectiles have enough range where he won't be hit after the reflect and low enough lag that he can punish the Joker for reflecting it. Also Mega man typically can just cover the reflected projectile with a second one

@@chris40v17 He was at the top way before Joker was a thing. MkLeo has had a huge skill and mentality gap between the other players at one point. His character while oppressive in his hands, isn't definitely top 3 and it's not much of an advantage compared to characters like Pikachu, Snake, Fox, ZSS, Peach, or Palutena

Except he IS more skilled than all of them. His wins and placings are the proof. Marss did the right thing and practiced megaman to counter leo's joker. A character who gives leo/ joker trouble. No one is going to stop "gassing" up leo when he is still pretty dominant this season.
