The only way the losers person cam win is if he wins the first best of 5, and then that's called a reset. Then the players play another best of 5, and this takes a long time. If you look at a lot of MKleos past grand finals matches, you'll see that they're around 40ish minutes, cause he resets the bracket and then wins. Everyone was expecting the same for this video, but the anti spoiler thing prevented that.
This tournament really making me question why Nintendo doesn’t sponsor Smash competitive. It’s so hype, and the scene could be so much bigger and better if Nintendo actually did what their fans want Edit: A lot of you are referencing Zero’s video and how Nintendo does support smash behind the scenes. While that is true, my comment was basically referring to wanting larger prize pools and more sponsorships. This will attract more smashers and a larger audience. I think that Nintendo could also profit off of this because it could make Smash even more popular and it could push Nintendo further into the esports scene.

Character imbalance is exactly what creates creates community toxicity and why you need to understand that. Ex: Things like; Drag down Loop, Arsen Dair killing into upsmash at 60 and later, still one the the fastest characters with combo game and fastest disjoints WITHOUT Arsen on and has kill confirms without it. In Arsen form he has some of the best confirms, range, speed and mobility of the entire cast. That's not even mentioning how busted the counter is in certain mus when it comes to ledge guarding and stopping a majority of the casts recovering and being the fastest on stage with the least amount of cool down and the highest power scaling. The projectile in Arsen is arguably the best in the game and the most frustrating to deal with not to mention it is insanely good even offstage and sets up for many juggling and kill confirm situations on and offstage. Not to mention doing around %15 per hit and being incredibly safe to use in most situations in nuetral expect the disadvantage. Let's not even mention his aerials.

This was the most focused I've ever seen Marss. For a while, every time he had to face Leo, there was a point where you knew that he knew he couldn't win, but you saw none of that this time around.

Julian Lopez not discrediting Marss here, he played insane this tournament but I think you’re jumping the gun here. I feel like more likely is Mkleo getting worn out because he had to face both Esam and Samsora and play from losers brackets. Esam who had a positive win rate against Leo and Samsora who also has won against Leo in big tournaments. So more than likely it’s a combination of both.

What a set. This is now the greatest set of Ultimate not only cause Marss 3-0’d Leo, but he also hyped the crowd by risking it all and getting stylish kills. Don’t forget the set when Samsora and Leo went at it at Shine 2019, when Samsora had to climb back up from losers to face Leo and did a reverse 3-0 to reset the bracket and another 3-0 to win after being down two games to Leo.
Way back then, I was a big Leo fan and I really wanted him to win. Coming back to it now, I realize that nobody does it like Marss, and nobody will EVER do it like Marss. What a hype set through and through.
MAD AF SET, good shit Marss Let it be known that this is only the third time that MkLeo has been 3-0'd in Ultimate (First two times were Tweek & Glutonny) Absolute god. And despite the 3-0, this was one of the hypest sets of ultimate history

2 years later and this is still some of the best smash ultimate ever seen. Both players were playing the best they could, and it was so close despite being a 3-0, absolutely incredible.

I have never seen a more intense first stock and never seen a set that literally carried that intensity the WHOLE WAY THROUGH, this is perhaps the most iconic set in Ultimate's history yet.
BEYOND THE SUMMIT killed it yo! The extra time to keep it spoiler free, the commentators, and the score card at the end saying damage dealt and k.o. per set really made it feel like a boxing match. Maybe you guys can add a Self destruct section to the stats next time? I have no complaints what an amazing show by the players and staff behind this amazing production.
IMO these are the two most enjoyable, entertaining and exciting players to watch in ultimate. This set is an INSTANT classic! Congrats marss and shoutouts to leo for always for always being classy in defeat.
If you like this kind of fast-paced high octane gameplay, you might like Fatality as well! He had a pretty rough season but it looks like he might be back on track, and his matches are just so fun to watch
Christian Sanchez great suggestion! I’ve been watching fatality since the beginning of smash 4. Always tune in and root for him when he’s on stream. It’s just a shame falcon in ultimate is kind of a shell of what he used to be in Wii U. But you are right he’s slowly and steadily improving lately.

Leo and Marss are the most hype players in this game, with Light and Fatality coming close. Yeah guess what, players who main fast characters with crazy combos. A usual with these two, such high-octane and exhilarating Ultimate, Marss is absolutely insane, I feel he's so wild he's sometimes inconsistent, but when he's on fire, it's pure madness. I mean just look at that epic kill screen at 10:05, just sums it up. I would have like this GF to last longer, but if it did I feel Leo would have won, and as much as I like him, Marss played so godlike here he deserved the win. Man I want to learn ZSS now.
I've not been a fan of Mars since that grand finals march he rage quit against leo. It's hard to respect him after that. That being said, it was a really well played game by both players.
Upset that Leo lost but still, you gotta give Marss some love for this, cause not only did he make history, but he climbed back up and redeemed himself, congrats champ. (Still remember what Abadango did to you at Pound with Mewtwo lmfaoo)

Watching it live it was very hard to believe these two monsters who traded stocks every 15 seconds were in the same tournament as the other players and even lost some games to them. I think he somehow managed to hurt Leo’s spirit with the first win after Leo turned up so hard and mars kept getting the better of him.
I saw 40 minutes and thought Leo did it again. I love how good Leo is when he loses, he’s always getting up to give them a hug, smiling the whole time, great job Marss, I wanted either u or Leo to win.
I’m so happy that the extra time in this video was a a thing; cause I came here expecting another Leo reset bracket in winning, and what I got was a SURPRISING Mars 3-0 in 15 min

And despite the 3-0, this was one of the hypest sets of ultimate history

2 years later and this is still some of the best smash ultimate ever seen. Both players were playing the best they could, and it was so close despite being a 3-0, absolutely incredible.
I like how you guys extend the video to 40 minutes not to spoil it. Honestly tournaments should start doing this more on RUclips, especially grand finals. I like it a lot.

I have never seen a more intense first stock and never seen a set that literally carried that intensity the WHOLE WAY THROUGH, this is perhaps the most iconic set in Ultimate's history yet.
BEYOND THE SUMMIT killed it yo! The extra time to keep it spoiler free, the commentators, and the score card at the end saying damage dealt and k.o. per set really made it feel like a boxing match. Maybe you guys can add a Self destruct section to the stats next time? I have no complaints what an amazing show by the players and staff behind this amazing production.
Can we talk about how insane Marss DI is? Ever since I witnessed his set with Leo using Captain Falcon, I knew he would be back for top seat...
IMO these are the two most enjoyable, entertaining and exciting players to watch in ultimate. This set is an INSTANT classic! Congrats marss and shoutouts to leo for always for always being classy in defeat.
If you like this kind of fast-paced high octane gameplay, you might like Fatality as well! He had a pretty rough season but it looks like he might be back on track, and his matches are just so fun to watch
Christian Sanchez great suggestion! I’ve been watching fatality since the beginning of smash 4. Always tune in and root for him when he’s on stream. It’s just a shame falcon in ultimate is kind of a shell of what he used to be in Wii U. But you are right he’s slowly and steadily improving lately.

Leo and Marss are the most hype players in this game, with Light and Fatality coming close. Yeah guess what, players who main fast characters with crazy combos.
A usual with these two, such high-octane and exhilarating Ultimate, Marss is absolutely insane, I feel he's so wild he's sometimes inconsistent, but when he's on fire, it's pure madness. I mean just look at that epic kill screen at 10:05, just sums it up. I would have like this GF to last longer, but if it did I feel Leo would have won, and as much as I like him, Marss played so godlike here he deserved the win. Man I want to learn ZSS now.

I've not been a fan of Mars since that grand finals march he rage quit against leo. It's hard to respect him after that. That being said, it was a really well played game by both players.
Upset that Leo lost but still, you gotta give Marss some love for this, cause not only did he make history, but he climbed back up and redeemed himself, congrats champ. (Still remember what Abadango did to you at Pound with Mewtwo lmfaoo)

This is the best ultimate I’ve ever seen. Leo was playing godlike and marss was able to take it away from him.
Watching it live it was very hard to believe these two monsters who traded stocks every 15 seconds were in the same tournament as the other players and even lost some games to them. I think he somehow managed to hurt Leo’s spirit with the first win after Leo turned up so hard and mars kept getting the better of him.
ImaForceANature it wasn’t that Marss got the better of him. He had KO’d Marss but he didn’t ring out...Marss was getting really lucky not ringing out

I’m so happy that the extra time in this video was a a thing; cause I came here expecting another Leo reset bracket in winning, and what I got was a SURPRISING Mars 3-0 in 15 min
Thank you for adding the extra 20 minutes at the end of the video. It really fooled me into believing the set was longer than it really was, so I was shocked when Leo was 3-0'ed. More tournaments should lead by this example!
