I love the respect Gluttony gives MkLeo at the end. In that moment, he lets a fierce competitor feel the harsh and surprise disappointment in the outcome, process it and then come back to reality to shake his hand. And kudos to MkLeo always being respectful. Great set.
They are good friends. I don't think competition is the most important to them when they face off, they just enjoy playing against each other
Also fact that glutonny know that leo is better than him and just glutonny has discovered leo's weaknesses but when it's not a direct confrontation, gluto knows that leo wins

Gluto straight up said to the couch that was one of their worst sets ever right after he won, so I wouldn't be surprised if the end reaction from both of them was at least part disappointment
One of the most heart warming moments in ultimate history has to be Glutos win over Leo in pound 2022 GF.

It was fascinating to hear Glutonny say it was one of their worst sets. They're both so far beyond me in terms of skill, so it's really hard for me to tell when either of them are playing poorly.
Regardless of who wins, Gluto and Mkleo matches are always fun to watch.
I'm surprised to see Leo exhibit such disappointment and frustration. He's usually so stoic; it's rare to see him pop off even after a close win. You can tell these losses so far are getting to him. It's also notable because with his track record, he hasn't lost this much before, so he's never had a reason to be frustrated.
It's because he lost to Gluto the last 4 times they met in a row and going into summit Leo specifically said he wanted to get a runback on Gluto.

Yeah Leo also got upset by AK the day before. He has a great mentality, but Leo’s never lost like this before so it’s gotta be frustrating to him since his standards are so high

I don't think he really cares that the character is broken in Riddles' hand, I just don't think Leo is adjusting to the fact that getting hit once will lead to his death.

No I do not find it entertaining watching Kazuya(yes its impressive and very hard to play, but you mostly watch the same moves kill over and over again)
Yes I do think Riddles wouldn't be as high as he is without Kazuya. This is nothing against him, people play characters and put time into them. I watched his terry for as long as I can remember watching smash overall, his Terry was awesome, but imo didn't have a chance of breaking through as much as he did with Kazyua.

Damn, this set actually had me scared. I thought Glutonny was going to lose, but I'm glad the man came through in the end. Regardless, MKLeo did a superb job taking it to the final stock of the final game. Good games to both players.
Some of the best Ultimate as always from these two. Give it up everybody, these are the best to ever do it imo
I hate it whenever Leo loses, but I guess that's because we got spoiled too much back during pre-quarantine.

@@ABC-ik9vj On the very final exchange, gluto's hit had extra knock back due his percentage being so high (rage) and seems like it contributed/caused the move to kill
This is the best bad set of Ult I've ever watched. It was tense and hype, and they both made some good plays, but it just felt like neither of them was playing anywhere close to their peak. Gluto hasn't hit a good waft all weekend, Leo is 2-3 in sets with two 3-0s and a failed reverse 3-0, that game 5 looked really sloppy. But it was still really fun to watch and really exciting. Gluto is one of my favorite players and while I usually really don't like Leo, idk what it is but I've been excited to see him play this weekend. I hope they each make somewhat of a run in losers tomorrow, though I want Riddles, Tweek, Proto, or Muteace to take the whole tournament. Fun set, but very different feel from their usual sets. I want to see them play again soon when they're both playing better, to see how current peak Gluto does against current peak Leo.
He didn't hit a good waft in this set, but he hit like 5 or 6 good wafts in his set against MuteAce 😄

Super sad. :( I love both these players but that was an emotional set. I really wanted mkleo to win but also want gluto to win if mkleo isn’t playing a tourney. So stressful. But anyways ggs to both of them! They played so well either way! ❤️❤️
25:20 It was clear that Mk had already calculated the repetitive nairs that Glut used. It seemed strange to me that he kept using it even though all of them were blocked.
But yeah, it often happens, you play more with reaction rather than paying attention to the actual combat at hand.
It’s also just applying pressure. Leo knew that if he dropped shield, he was at risk of being punished
You can tell that game 5 was very stressful for Gluto tuat when he won he didn't know how to react
You gotta know Gluto knows leos best he of course loves the win but also thinks he woulda lost if leo was performing normally in his mind. All love this set was great.

I think it's a symptom of the character crisis he's going through. He's stretching himself a bit too thin with all the characters he's trying to play

Seems like a way better match up as the only move Byleth has that doesn’t explode the grenades when spaced correctly is nair not to mention how Byleths up b destroys Snakes cipher. Hopefully he’ll pull it out in pools and then he didn’t pull out Byleth again Gluto either

I don’t know if it’s just me but I feel like Mkleo is obviously still really good, Top 10 good, but he doesn’t quite feel like the same GOAT competitor of Ultimate that was Game 5/4 Leo. My theory is ever since he got a girl and got into a serious relationship, his attention and effort towards the game has been diverted, and he has been distracted which leads him to not be playing at 100 percent capacity. Although it’s inevitable for most people to find relationships so it was bound to happen someday anyway.

Yeah, Gluto played really good the two first games while Leo played bad as fuck
Then, game 3, Gluto missimputed a waft and it basically destroyed his mentality, Leo came back and started playing a bit better
They were both playing bad compared to their real level, but it was still very high level

No, sigue siendo uno de los mejores jugadores del mundo. Creo que es el hecho de que tuvo un nivel tan superior anteriormente con respecto a los competidores que hace pensar que empeoró, cuando realmente los demás han mejorado mucho y el mantuvo su nivel.
