A fantastic collection of watches, elegance, quality, heritage, all for a price that won't break the bank. I've added a third to my collection this week and can't recommend them highly enough. Happy Horology.
This model along with the blue titanium " big eye" have been sat at my local authorised dealer for ages whilst mid range Tag Heuer and Seiko fly out. He scratches his head, but, it comes down to personal preference I guess.
I was able to purchase this timepiece a few months ago. It really is a beautiful timepiece. I wear it to work and I always receive compliments. It’s definitely an eye catcher. Thank you for the review.
Great value for a Longines and the specs. It's just that I would never have a reason to wear this. Probably why there's one sat in my local AD since...ages.
The Tuxedo chronograph is one of the best looking out there that won't cost a major organ. This is a modular movement and Longines have done a terrific job with keeping the crown and pushers on or near the same horizontal axis. I'd guess the chronograph module is a Dubois Depraz item similar to the one used in the some time discontinued TAG Heuer Monaco calibre 12. with the same running seconds on the right sub dial and minute counter of the left. I love that Tuxedo dial, I don't have the chronograph but I do have the 3 hander and that looks great in my humble opinion. Thanks for sharing. Nice one Bruce.
@@BruceWilliams You may well be correct Bruce, I'm not sure but it's certainly a very well executed example keeping those pushers and crown inline with a (assumed) top mounted chronograph module above the ETA base. Clever stuff either way.
Love its classic vibe. I would put it on a gator stap light blue or matte blue. Price wise bit stiff given it is based on eta movement if Im not mistaken. All in all I would say you can still wear it everyday. Luv it.
Nice review Bruce, love the Longines Heritage line, Very classy. I was looking at that exact watch but ended up purchasing a used as new Junghans Meister Telemeter Chronoscope for $1000. Just wish it had the sapphire glass.
I had the same idea with the sector dial bracelet haha! You got good taste, bud. Did you ever try to do it and how was the fitment? If you don't mind me asking since I plan on buying this watch but I don't like leather straps
Agreed. This is the most underrated chronograph on the market at the moment. Bi-compax, no date, great finishing, reliable movement, anti magnetic, and strap monster. Edit : And very crisp column wheel actuated chronograph which also interestingly have magnets in it.
The dial is so beautiful, but the thing that bugs me about this watch is the side profile. It looks like a layered cake, and the mid case portion with the pushers are so thin compared to the bezel + crystal.
Longines are an amazing cradle to grave brand and both main Chronos are astonishing and very good value. The boxe's are a bit much tho, even the Legend Diver comes in a gigantic 2 kilo humidor, frankly it's a pain. I actually love the Rolex approach, they don't give a chuff, the boxes are still rubbish because the watch is the point. Id rather not pay an extra coupla hundred quid for some giant piece of wasted tree.
@@BruceWilliams Well it won't happen until you send the me watch so I can take the photo. As a bonus I'll do one wearing my red speedos with white dots as well 🤣
Not really guilloche. Just a spiral track. I wish the main dial had a spiral track. Blasphemous I know as it is a homage, but I wish the dial had more texture. It's really nice, but doesn't check enough boxes for me. That said, the Ultra Chron and Zulu Time GMT have been two of the most exciting releases of the past year for me. They are definitely bringing the heat.
End to end lug length is too long for case diameter (typical for Longines). Case thickness is way too much, watch looks like a small building on your wrist. This watch is a complete fail, period.

One of the best looking watches at any price and your reviews and videos are among the best.

It's a very good looking watch. Love the blue accent color and where they are used.
Amazingly beautiful watch.

Another beautiful dial from Longines. Wonderful looking watch. Winner.
Love your review and your enthusiasm for the piece!
much appreciate your genuine excitement for this fab longines watch.
Now that is a beauty.

I've heard this is etas own version of that module. It's probably very similar. It's fitted to a very solid base

That would be a fantastic match with a black suit.
Agree. What a pairing!

I already own this one. I love it.
Beauty, so stylish
I bought one and love it.
Yeah that’s pretty fantastic.
Longines is really doing great things for such a modest price. May not be Rolex luxury, but I like what they’re doing much more.
Finding 19mm straps is zero issue. Plenty of good options these days.

100 percent
We want an expedition case back Longines
exhibition case
Size wrist?
Found one for 1500 good deal?
Longines finally getting some love from the Swatch Group. About time as they have a truly great past….

That side profile height though...
So good for a chrono :)

Klass 👌
This watch will go well with my black speedos with white GT stripes.
That visual just ruined my holiday!!.....too funny
Pics or it didn't happen

You’re making me want to buy one of these…stop it 😂
I make myself want to buy one haha
Your macro is ridiculous, makes me feel like I'm miniaturized and walking around on the dial. Hope you and your family are well, best wishes.
Thank you!!
Don’t forget, we all hate Chronographs now 🤣
Not me lol
I think that's just you
