    Great video covering this helmet. My wife and I will be shopping in the spring. This looks like it could be a good option. Really need something quieter. How does it look for mounting a GoPro to the front?

    • @BrittBraap
      @BrittBraap  3 года назад

      Thank you so much! I've heard this helmet is definitely quiet, can't wait to do another review after riding in one. :)
      Because of the big chin vent I'd mount one on the side of the chin, similar to my x14 setup.

    Nice lid. Its not my thing as I ride 85% of the time with WSB half helmet. Winter I have a Bell Qualifier so maybe one day I will upgrade? How is the weight? I know Shoei's tend to be a heavy helmet?

    • @rowdy2wheels179
      @rowdy2wheels179 3 года назад +1

      Shoei helmets are actually very light compared to most. This is due to the fiberglass shell. Cheap helmets are constructed of thick plastic that weighs substantially more. The Bell Qualifier weighs 4.85lbs to the RF-1400 3.76lbs.

    • @RustyTheBiker
      @RustyTheBiker 3 года назад

      @@rowdy2wheels179 I have the dlx which comes in at 3.36lbs according to revizilla which is where I bought it.

      @rowdy2wheels179 3 года назад +1

      @@RustyTheBiker the dlx is a better helmet than the base but still a single density polycarb shell. As for fiberglass helmets, Shoei tends to be about. 25-.50lbs heavier due to its dual and triple density interior protective foams under the lightweight shell.

    I recently just picked up a rf1200 and it is very comfortable lid. The 1400 looks solid but I doubt I drop the coin on another helmet anytime soon. Given the list below, I already have too many.
    1. Rf1200
    2. RfSr
    3. GT Air
    4. Neotec
    5. Biltwell Lane Splitter x 2
    6. Ruroc Atlas 2.0
    7. Ruroc Berserker
    Awesome in depth analysis of the helmet though. Very informative

  • @InegoMinblan

    So which visor has more vertical view and which horizontal? Does the 1400 has wider visor? As I understand 1400 visor is the same but only installed in helmet shell more higher? Which visor has more field of view 1400 or AGV K6 ? Thanks

    • @BrittBraap
      @BrittBraap  3 года назад +1

      Hey there, sorry for the late response. The 1400 visor has a bigger overall viewing window than the 1200 - it was completely redesigned. I suggest vising your local moto store and trying on the 1400 and K6 to compare, as I don't have experience with AGV helmets.

      Oh, me too. There's a reason I went back to Shoei after my accident - I had my Arai for 1 week before I crashed. Wasn't a fan and the round headshape needing all new pads to fit me head properly! Can't wait for Joe's RF1400 to come in so I can ask how it is. :)

    Which do you recommend for a loud exhaust noise x14 or rf1400? Thanks

    • @BrittBraap
      @BrittBraap  3 года назад

      Unfortunately I don't have the rf1400 YET.. Mine was backordered until recently. However, I can say my x14 is definitely not the quietest. I hate to be "that person" but honestly, I'm not sure any helmet would quiet down exhaust noise.. I recommend trying earplugs - I never go without mine! :) Good luck!!
