Life as paramedic is no different in NYC than it is in LA, Tulsa, Tallahassee. Drugs, debauchery, and death bookend by the occasional moment when you actually do something that makes it worth getting out of bed. Just another playing up paramedics as thrill junkies, psychos, or broken whiners.
As an FDNY EMT for 35 years. I can tell you that this movie looks very realistic. Plus, it's nice to see Sean Penn as an FDNY Paramedic and Mike Tyson as an FDNY Ems Captain. I hope it does well. 🚑

My kinda movie. I miss these kinda gritty, early to mid 2000s feel NYC movies. They're my absolute favorite. _25th Hour_ , _Bringing Out The Dead_ , _We Own The Night_ , _Pride and Glory_ , _Brooklyn's Finest_ , _The Son of No One_ , _A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints_ , _Shaft_ , _Girlfight_ , etc. They all got a certain feel to them. In my bias opinion, it is about time that there is a movie about NYS ems. I’m a retired NYPD officer. Myself and my partner ran into Diamond Dave at 125th and Lex on the 3 and 4 train maybe 20 years ago. He had responded to the same EDP/Aided that we were heading too.
